The air conditioned kitchen and living room open through French doors to the deck, where alfresco seating encourages meals outdoors. During the warmer months relax in the garden beneath heritage trees or drop your favourite bath bomb in the freestanding clawfoot tub on the patio, strewn with fairy lights. Come together for a shared meal around the dining table, whipping up a feast in the full shaker-style kitchen. There’s a fireplace in the living room (and another outdoors) to get cosy in the evenings, with a large sofa, record player, books and Chromecast TV. A dedicated workspace within the living room caters to those needing to set up their laptop, with a monitor, mouse and keyboard to plug straight in.

Each of the two bedrooms ensure dreamy spaces to rest your head. The master highlights split-system heating and cooling and a beautiful bay window seat, looking over the front yard. Both bedrooms have queen-sized beds along with built-in wardrobes to store your belongings. A contemporary bathroom offers a combination bathtub and shower, toilet and mirrored basin stocked with boutique toiletries for your stay. Nestled just under four hours’ drive west of Sydney, the town of Mudgee is renowned for its wineries and flourishing food scene. Its winemaking dates to the 19th century, with notable cellar doors including Lowe Wines, Robert Stein Vineyard and Logan Wines. Meander the colonial streetscapes filled with produce stores, cafes and boutiques, and shop for local produce at the Mudgee Fine Foods Farmers’ Markets, held in the picturesque grounds of Robertson Park. While visiting the region, you can explore World Heritage-listed Wollemi National Park, home to scenic walking trails, canoeing and kayaking tours.
