Paringa Beach House, 500m to the beach
Explore the tranquil allure of Wye River, a coastal haven cherished for its small community, wonderful coffee, and pub boasting million-dollar vistas of the sea. Bid farewell to the daily hill climbs, as now you can stroll down a level road to the beach, leaving your worries and car keys behind.
Nestled under the tree canopy, this contemporary beach house lies just steps from The Great Ocean Road, offering a symphony of crashing waves as your backdrop. Thoughtfully equipped for family getaways, it comes complete with essentials like a porta-cot, highchair, and an array of toys and games.
Inside, an open-plan layout seamlessly integrates the living room, modern kitchen and a generous dining area for leisurely meals. Spend cosy evenings in by the wood fire or gather around the garden fire pit beneath the stars. Gaze out to the deck, where parrots and koalas often make appearances, and step out to fire up the BBQ for al fresco dining.
Retreat to the master bedroom, where a queen bed awaits alongside a quiet nook overlooking the sea. The ensuite features a spacious walk-in shower while sliding doors grant access to the front deck. Additional bedrooms offer comfort for guests or little ones, with glimpses of the ocean and ample space for rest and play. The main bathroom boasts a bathtub, separate shower and corner laundry.
Other things to note:
Generally, we are a pet-free house. However, if you have a small dog who you would love to bring with you, please contact us to discuss.
There is a bus that runs along the Great Ocean Road 2-3 x a day that takes you to Melbourne and back.
Everyone in Wye River is on tank water & septic systems so please be prepared to take special care with your water use.

Mary was very accomodating ,from our arrival ,untill our departure . The accomodation was just great , with qalking distance to beach , general store AND the pub .We definately recommend staying at the Baech House !

Great location in Wye River
Walking distance to the beach, general store & pub. House was clean, great layout and beautiful views. Communication was excellent, check in process easy. Would highly recommend if you are looking for a place to stay in Wye River.

Could be awesome with some love
Amazing location and outlook but could do with a little love and a good deep clean. Range hood and bbq was dirty, lots of dust, couch was old, scuffs on wall. But heaps of toys for kids although there was no stroller as stated on the listing - we didn't bring ours expecting one to be there. Awesome location to the shop, pub and beach, and owners very prompt with replying. No wifi here so use your hotspot!

Thank you for your review Zoe and we're sorry that not everything was up to your expectation. We do take pride in having a clean home but of course, it is a beach house so perhaps not as up to scratch as our own homes with some items starting to wear. We do clean thoroughly in between guests but given our rural location, a little dust & cobwebs do accumulate. We have mentioned this to our cleaner as well who will pay more attention to these items.

Great house and position.
Had a wonderful stay at Paringa. Very well fitted out. Great fire place and easy walk to beach and general store. Had littlies and a dog in our group. All had a great time. Look

Perfect beach house for relaxing family getaway
We loved Paringa! The house is modern and well equipped but also felt super homely. Our kids loved the toys and books and the adults enjoyed sitting on the balcony and on the comfy recliners next to the kitchen table enjoying the views. We were fortunate enough to see a Koala climb the tree right next to the house! The walk to the beach, pub and cafe is short and easy, we didn’t even need to watch tv, use wifi or move our car the entire stay. It was the perfect place to disconnect and enjoy some slower living. We did have to carry our dog up and down the stairs but we knew about that beforehand and the owners were super proactive with their communication on the matter when booking. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Perfect location
We spent 3 nights in this cosy house, and really enjoyed it. Everything you need to self cater is there. We actually enjoyed not having WiFi but for some people that might be worth noting. Beautiful views, so many birds and the sound of the waves. Our kids loved the house too.
Our only negative comment is that it is listed as pet friendly however our dog could not get up and down the stairs which are the only access and quite high as the house is on stilts. They are spaced metal grates so for dogs, there’s no depth perception plus her paws slipped through the spaces. We ended up taking her to a friends place as she just couldn’t stay there. If you can carry your dog maybe that’s not an issue, ours is a 30kg greyhound so not an option!

Hi Helen, thank you very much for your review and feedback. I always mention the metal stairs when people mention they are bringing a dog, but I didn’t realise you were bringing one sorry! Lovely house in a great location
A hiccup with accessing the key, but quickly sorted. A bit hard to find the house number in the dark on arrival!
But otherwise, a very comfortable house that suited us perfectly. Easiest walk up from the beach in all the stays we've had at Wye River!

Great for a week at the beach!

Great place and space - highly recommended
We spent a long weekend at the Wye River beach house and loved every minute. The house is modern and has everything needed to feel comfortable for adults and kids. And just a stroll down to the beautiful beach, cafe and pub. Beach, pub, cafe, repeat! The local Koala paid a visit to a nearby tree on our last day. We will be back again.

Great location With all modern accessories
Peaceful, truly Australian holiday with plenty of wildlife and so close to the beach and local shops and pub. The house was fully equipped with all necessary living appliances and satisfied our holiday needs. My family and I were sad for the holiday to end

A home away from home. You can really feel the difference of an owner managed property. Suzanne was exceptional in her communication and very accommodating in give us an early check in so our baby could have her lunch nap in the house.
Location is fab, within easy walking distance of the beach, playgrounds, cafe and pub - what more could you want.
We would definitely go back again in the near future. Thanks for a wonderful stay.
