Welcome to “Jack’s Cabin”, a memorably unique home situated on the banks of the picturesque Wenatchee River in Plain, Washington. This pet-friendly property was built by Jack, a cherished ambassador of the Ponderosa community in which it resides. A family and outdoorsman, Jack had a passionate love of the mountains, hiking with his dogs, climbing, and adventuring in the wilderness. He now shares this hand-crafted home with you to make your own memories with your family, just as he did with his own.

Quaint and cozy, this 1200 square foot home is well appointed for a couple’s retreat, friendly getaway, or family vacation. The main feature is the bright and airy great room which showcases picture windows overlooking the serene, forested riverfront. A propane fireplace keeps you comfortable while you watch a film together with your loved ones or enjoy conversation over cups of coffee in the morning light. Fiber internet, TV streaming services and a DVD library offers the expected modern comforts. A spacious dining table seats four comfortably off the well-stocked kitchen area. Meals will be easy to prepare here for any occasion. The main level features a private bedroom with queen bed and a full bathroom with a walk-in shower. A separate laundry room next to the front door is provided for all your linen needs.

Upstairs you will find a large open loft space with two additional queen beds. If you’re traveling with friends and would rather not share a bed, a fourth travel mattress is provided upon request. A second full bathroom with tub and shower combo is located here. Just off the loft area is a separate balcony with seating, a perfect place for conversation over a glass of wine.

The final claim to fame for this unique home is the riverfront backyard. The back deck has a private hot tub for soaking after a long days hike and propane BBQ for grilling outdoors. A grassy yard with space to play leads out to your own beach on the Wenatchee River, the perfect place to swim and splash during the later months of summer.

There are no vehicle restrictions on vehicle types for spring/summer/fall for cabin access. Winter guests please see cautionary notes below:

Please be prepared along with your guests who are driving separate for this driveway during winter months as there is a steep/slope grade and when ice/snow are on the ground a 4WD/AWD vehicle with traction tires are necessary AND carrying chains is recommended. No exceptions

While we do our best to keep this driveway plowed and sanded, winter conditions can change rapidly and make both access to and from this driveway challenging and we cannot guarantee its condition upon your arrival at any time. We are subject to the subcontractor and the Chelan County plows who service this driveway and our county roads so please pack your patience along with following the recommendations below if you choose to book.
