We spent two nights at this property while visiting family. The home was in a great lacation and was in a beautiful upscale neighbourhood which gave us hope that the house would be the same. This home is much older than most of the surrounding homes and I'm sure in the past it was very nice. However, while clean and tidy, the home is showing the wear and tear of being used as a a rental property. Previous reviews have said the same thing, showing poorly done repairs and a general feeling of neglect. The appliances were old and questionable. The stove seemed to be lacking power or had a failed element in the oven as we had difficulty getting the oven hot enough to cook a meal. The dishwasher seemed to be newer than the other appliances but it didn't seem to work properly and we resorted to washing our dishes in the sink. If you could provide more cooking supplies, pots, pans, dishes and utensils, that would be a big help. We didn't use the laundry facilities. The beds were clean but a little too firm for our liking and that of our guests. To summarize, we enjoyed our stay in the home, it certainly had more than enough space for us and with a few improvements, has the making of a very nice property. While we never met, the host was friendly and responsive.Brian and PauletteSt. John's NL
