Best place we've ever stayed. Owners thought of everything. Walk out the back door and your practically in the Huron National Forest. Can't wait to go back!
Everything about the stay this year was as great as it was last year. Beautiful surroundings, quite proptey and trails. Clean and homly. Would recommend to anyone for peaceful get away.
Cute home with Up North Michigan feel. Very clean, comfortable and roomy. Close to Rifle River where went hiking. Would love to come back. Highly recommend.
The cabin was perfect for our getaway. Tastefully decorated and everything you need to relax and unwind. Owners were grateful with communicating with us about our rental, we arrived with no issues or concerns!
Our family really enjoyed this place. It is very quiet and peaceful. The kids loved cooking smores on the campfire and swimming at the beach which was within walking distance. We would definitely recommend this place for adults, or familys with children. The cabin is stocked with everything you could possibly need.
Stayed three nights with two sisters and my dog for a birthday getaway. We enjoyed the property and location. It had everything we needed. We walked to the nearby beach a couple times, sat outside on the deck a lot, made a campfire in the firepit, and drove to Rose City for supermarket and dinner at Faull Inn. A good time was had by all.

Great family Getaway!
Great weekend getaway! We loved this place! It was quiet, clean, and plenty of things to do close by. The kids loved the beach that was within walking distance as well as the boat launch where they went fishing. Local winery was great. The cabin is fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. I recommend this place for couples or family’s with children. We would definitely stay here again.
We have been coming for over 10 years to this lake and when the cabin we previously rented was not available anymore we were so disappointed. But then I found this cabin just down the street and it met all our expectations. For our little family of 3 it was more than enough room. Very clean and all the amenities we needed for the week. The cabin overlooks the lake and set back so you feel private with the beautiful woods surrounding us. The owners thought of everything to provide so we didn’t need to bring much for our stay. The Michigan decor inside was too cute. Not a far walk to the beach and boat launch. We would definitely come back.
First Time away with our two month old son and loved ou little get away! Everything was clean and in order. Close enough to home but also far enough away. Would recommend to anyone.
This place was great. Spacious, clean and lots of amenities. Loved the fact that my friend and I had our own queen size bed and own bathroom with a shower. There was a nice old school wood burning stove that we used every night. Would highly recommend for any group of friends or family if you’re looking to have a nice cabin experience with all the modern conveniences.

Rose City Cabin - Wow!
We were looking for a traditional "up north" feel when we were considering places for a weekend getaway, and this one delivered. It had everything we wanted. It's a quaint, cozy and warm cabin with amazing views of the lake during the day and the bright stars at night. Plenty of space to spread out too. The really cool part was that it backed up to hundreds of acres of the Huron National forest, and we loved walking the trails which are literally right off the back yard. And, the elevation changes in this area are surprisingly beautiful and amazing. If you're looking for a place to kick back, relax and enjoy some outdoor fun, I absolutely would recommend you give this one a try.
⸻10/10 Stay – Cozy Cabin Retreat Just Outside Rose CityThis cabin was an absolute gem! It was very easy to find and in a great location—peaceful, private, and surrounded by beautiful lake and woods views. The cabin itself was clean, cozy, and well-maintained, with ample parking and thoughtful touches throughout. We were greeted with a small bowl of chocolates and a helpful guidebook on the kitchen counter, which was a sweet and welcoming surprise. While we didn’t do any cooking, the kitchen was fully stocked with dishes, utensils, drinkware for any occasion, and a full set of cookware. The bedrooms were clean and comfortable, with cozy beds that made for a restful night’s sleep. The bathrooms were well stocked with shampoo, conditioner, soap, toilet paper, and plenty of towels—more than enough for our group. The living and dining areas were spacious for a smaller cabin, with plenty of comfortable seating for six people. Both rooms had large sliding glass doors with built-in blinds, which brought in tons of natural light during the day and gave us privacy at night.Outside, the porch had a great setup with a table and chairs, and there was even a gas grill under the pole barn. While we didn’t take advantage of the outdoor space this time, it would be perfect for a picnic or grilling out.Overall, I’d give this property a 10 out of 10. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the area and will absolutely consider staying here again on our next trip to Rose City.
Very nicely decorated cabin feel. We were comfortable and the heat worked well during this snowy weekend. A little dusting is needed but overall clean. Comfortable beds and lots of nice touches throughout to make you feel at home.

From the owner: "Thank you for your kind review. We're so glad you enjoyed the cozy cabin feel. We also appreciate your note about the dusting. Our regular caretaker is away this month, so we have someone filling in, which makes us all the more grateful for the honest work and care that goes into preparing the cabin for each guest. Thanks again for your feedback and for spending your snowy weekend here."
