The Space:

The Little Lodge Leadville - Cozy Vacation Rental



Location: 1.5 blocks from Main Street, Downtown Leadville.

Accommodations:

-2 bedrooms: King bed (primary with bathroom access) and Queen bed.

-1 bathroom with tub/shower and stackable washer/dryer.

Living Room:

-TV with Roku/Netflix and a record player for entertainment.

Outdoor Space:

-Large deck with a small 2-person hot tub, gas grill, table and chairs for mountain views or stargazing.

Pet Info:

-We are pet friendly! But, there is no grass area in the backyard (only a deck).

-Dogs allowed, $60 +tax for one pet and $120 +tax for two pets max. Do not leave pets outside, unattended if you are not home and please pick up after your pet(s)! If you are bringing pets, please know the backyard consists of a small deck, there is no grass area.



-Parking is in front of the home, on the street, there are usually spots out front of the home.



Staying in the mountains offers a unique and nature-immersed experience, characterized by a rustic charm. You might occasionally encounter some of the local wildlife, insects, and small critters that are part of the natural surroundings. We recommend keeping doors securely closed whenever possible. Rest assured, we've implemented thorough measures to ensure your stay remains undisturbed by these natural inhabitants.



Altitude sickness is real. In Leadville/ Twin Lakes, the elevation can be up to 10,000 feet. Symptoms can include dizziness and nausea, so please be mindful of this. We cannot offer refunds for guests experiencing altitude sickness. If you anticipate being affected, we recommend obtaining insurance at the time of booking.

Cute and cozy mountain town cottage

We stayed here in Leadville for a few days to have access to all the nature in the area. This cottage was a perfect central location with easy walking access into the town that had a number of restaurants and shops to explore. The cottage had a back deck with a hot tub and a mountain view which was perfect for relaxing after a day of adventuring. Would definitely stay here again!

Three day weekend stay in Leadville

Annual MLK Day trip to Ski Cooper. Host offered us an extra night to start our weekend early and we took them up on it! Had a lovely wfh Friday in the cozy cabin. The hot tub was fantastic after a super cold day on the mountain while we watched the snow fall around us listening to the owls. Very quiet neighborhood. Will definitely book this location again!

Excellently remodeled with a great floorplan! We enjoyed being able to walk almost everywhere. The basic cleaning was fine, but deep cleaning has been neglected. Some spice bottles were empty, hand soap too. Hot tub water was murky, crumbs in drawers, hair in sheets. It had snowed and we had to shovel the steps ourselves to get in. With a little more attention from the mgmt company, the property could be top notch.

Quick local spring break get-away

Our family of four plus dogs had a great start while enjoying Ski Cooper and Leadville. The property was extremely clean, organized, and well maintained. We had everything we needed :) Was a little hard to walk the dogs between the snow storm and lack of side walks in the neighbourhood but we managed just fine :)

Ski trip 2023

Property and location perfect. House is great, nicely renovated, turnkey for the most part. This is part of many in area that use DACK with property management company and it is not overly user friendly, conflicting information between emails with them and app that you need on your phone. I tried multiple times to call them and never got through. Had to text them for them to call back. Tough to get call back if you are out and about and service can be spotty even with 5G. We would definitely come back but I know now that it will have pitfalls when dealing with property mgmt through DACK app. This is our second “rodeo” with DACK app and it just seems to be an issue for them and the platform they use. Property’s we have stayed in are great so we have been lucky to not need them much. If you want learly check in or late check out you must do it through the app and for this property you have 2 choices for both and one for each is incorrect. Checkout info on app not consistent with directions sent of which I could not locate in the multitude of emails I had on phone. (My bad) I used DACK app for property and noted some things not the same as prior list received. Tried to call an confirm but did not get a person, texted them for help but by the time they responded we had already left. Extended checkout was paid for and used but initial response was pending until morning of checkout which serves no purpose at that point. After my email questioning this, they confirmed late’s checkout late in the evening before our morning departure. Again great property! Property management needs to work on the app and the information disseminated through it so that it is consistent and the platform needs to be reworked as it most likely does not fit everything. It f you rent directly through DACK you may get accommodations for late checkout and early arrival for free and avoid some fees that are charged on VRBO platform. As a owner on VRBO I would say DACK is the problem and not a platform I would ever consider.

This house was very comfortable, the king size bed especially! It was decorated nicely, very clean, and even had a hot tub in the back yard. I would definitely stay again!
