Bella Haven ("beautiful refuge") is a favourite getaway for many Saturna visitors.
A bright and airy beach house set on a picturesque half-acre, adjacent to our home.
Overlooking Lyall Harbour, you will have front row seats to spectacular summer sunsets and the ever-changing vista year-round.

It's perfect for one or two people looking to experience the uniqueness of Saturna Island and the beauty of the seasons in the Southern Gulf Islands.

We have sought to equip Bella Haven to a high standard and to anticipate your needs for a memorable stay. The open-plan living space, and the many windows, provide a feeling of spaciousness and light.

* We must mention our big friendly pooches, Dudley and Angus!
They will greet you from the other side of the fence, but have no access to your patio or living space.
They may be "vocal" upon your arrival but they settle quickly.

Our beautiful and peaceful setting lends itself to relaxation, but is also a perfect home-base for:

Wonderful location, great hosts

The cottage was just as described. The bed was very comfortable and the setting was great! Just beautiful! The hosts were very friendly and helpful. We’d love to stay here again and would definitely recommend it highly.

Perfect Getaway Spot

Bella Haven is a beautiful little cottage. It has been thoughtfully set up with everything you need. It's comfortable and homey and full of character. The view is amazing and there are several outdoor spots from which to enjoy it. Every window in the cottage also looks out on the view. The owners were welcoming and very responsive. A 10/10 in every respect. Highly recommend.

stunning location, roomy fully equipped cottage

First time to Saturna Island and it did not disappoint. This home was the ideal choice for us as a base to explore this unique gem of the Gulf Islands. The island is quiet and a bit isolated and that makes it pretty relaxing and special. Highly recommend this home to rent.

Hosts are very friendly and helpful! The view in front of the cottage is spectacular. Such a lovely place. Also the cottage inside was so nice and clean. We have everything we needed. We will definitely come back and recommend our family members and friends.

Incredible view

The ocean view from the suite was incredible. The suite itself was extremely clean, updated and comfortable. Sue and Roy were friendly hosts. We really enjoyed our stay!

Beautiful property and everything you may need was there. Luxurious towels and lots of them. Bathroom is amazing and love the heated stone floor! Even has books on the area’s history. Hosts were great and so were their two dogs.

Quiet

So quiet that our ears were ringing. Walked all over the island without any stress knowing there are no cougars or bears. Highly recommend, would definitely go back. The views of the sunset going down over the harbour are insane.

Perfect respite from the city

Peaceful quiet and complete. Sharp knives, cutting board, coffee, grinder, excellent coffee maker for strong coffee, REAL coffee cups. View down the inlet was complete, short walk to store and docks. Red Chairs at sunset !! thank you Sue and Rob Best to Dudley & Angus

Spectacular Saturna

We had a great stay at Bella Haven. Everything was perfect. Great location, beautiful "cabin," great hosts. We've stayed at many vacation rentals and Bella Haven ranks at the top. We look forward to returning soon!

Great people, great view, great cottage!

Beautifully done cottage a very short drive from the ferry. On the ocean and next door to the owners who are really nice thoughtful people. You may also want to adopt their dog!

Luxury getaway on Saturna Island

Bella Haven surpassed expectations (and we are picky). The owners thought of every detail - from gorgeous design, all new and stylish appliances, utensils, cookware and dishes, heated bathroom floor, full sized fidge, dishwasher and comfortable king sized bed...and everything is imaculately clean and well maintained. The unit comes with its own patio, full BBQ, quality Adirondack chairs and the best sunset views on the island. Hosts Rob and Sue are so helpful and friendly. A number of locals said this is the best place to stay on the island and we agree. We will be back!

A lovely little getaway with accommodating hosts!

The location met and exceeded our expectations based on the online listing. There were so many little details in the suite that made our stay even more enjoyable. The hosts, Sue and Rob, were very friendly and accommodating. There is beach access directly beside the property. I would recommend this place to anyone!

A Home Away From Home!

Staying at Bella Haven on Saturna was wonderful! Both the accommodation and attention to detail was excellent. It is a clean, well equipped, organized cozy cottage with a great view over looking Lyall Harbour. Our hosts, Sue and Rob were welcoming, friendly, generous and very easy to communicate with. Relaxing Saturna Sunsets

Excellent cabin! Perfect for us! Everything you need and more! Very well looked after, decorated very nice, comfortable king size bed. Beautiful cove with fantastic sunsets. The island had very interesting site seeing and hikes. Sue and Rob are very welcoming and helpful. Dudley is sweet!

Majoittaja: Sue and Rob Kendall

In the summer of 2007 we were sailing past Saturna and decided to go ashore to see what properties might be for sale. When we saw this view we were smitten. The rest is history, as they say. We are lucky and grateful to call Saturna home.

Major renovations were lovingly undertaken. The re-build took several years, as Rob did most of the work himself.
Fun Fact: Rob built the cabinets and countertops in the beach house out of old church pews!

We enjoy sailing, our dogs and our grandchildren. (not in that order!).
Rob has become an accomplished wood turner in his retirement and has produced many beautiful pieces. Sue enjoys music and photography.

Over the years we've had family and friends stay in the beach house. They always sleep past their regular wake-up time because it's so quiet and the bed is so comfy.

Passers-by on the street always comment on the property and the view.
People come to our beach specially to watch the breathtaking summer sunsets.

We look forward to welcoming you and will always be available for anything you may need.
