Family of 5 was comfortable here

The house is clean, has plenty of sleeping space, and met our needs well. Since we were in town visiting family, and only needed a place to sleep and shower, we didn't use the kitchen or yard.

Nice short stay

Stayed for a couple of nights and had a nice relaxing stay. The owners were very friendly and welcomed us to use anything on the property including a row boat and fire pits. There are a few things to mention to potential renters. Although I am very flexible and go with the flow there are a couple of things that should be pointed out if you are not as laid back as myself. The property sits on a canal with a small dock but it is quite a distance to the pond or Lake Ontario. The house is a sprawling ranch that only half of which is rented. The other side is not rented but is used by the owners. The owners did come to the property and use that side of the house while we were there. Not sure if everyone would be thrilled with that arrangement unless they knew ahead. They also brought a dog that roamed around freely. I don't mind but again you may? The side of the house we rented was more then adequate space and comforts. The well went dry when we were there but the owner said that they were putting in water lines so this may not be an issue in the future. The last thing to mention is the renting policy. Make sure that you do not book inside the 30 day cancellation policy unless you are 100 per cent sure. We booked inside that window and could not cancel because of this policy. The owner did offer us a different date to stay.

Quiet Cottage for relaxing vacation.

Quiet cottage away from traffic but close enough to all major attraction in central New York. Owners were available for our needs and allowed us to do a mid week check in and out, one of the few rentals in area that would allow it. Well maintained property with great views and lake access. We would defiantly stay again and recommend for others.
