Modern cabin offering incredible views with fire pit, spa and hiking trails.
A countryside retreat. This cabin is on top of a hill offering glorious views of the Capertee Valley. The valley is world renown for its bird-watching but this property is also a working farm so you can visit our cows, sheep, chickens or pick some fruit from the trees. We have 420 acres for you to explore with creeks, mountain bike trails and direct access to the Wollemi National Park. Our wildlife spotting includes wombats, kangaroos, wallabies and echidnas to name a few.
The cabin has its own deck and is right beside a large fire pit with an amazing view across the valley. This location is the pick of the views on the entire property. Each window in the cabin offers stunning mountain views.
We are in a secluded location if you are looking for a peaceful stay. The drive through the Capertee Valley to our property is spectacular. The only sounds you will hear are chickens, sheep, cows and the bird life.
If you enjoy hiking then explore our 420 acres which is a mix of grazing land, creeks, bush tracks, swimming holes and rainforest like gullies. Our property borders Wollemi National Park and we have direct access to it. The Glen Alice Trail & The Bicentennial Trail are hiking tracks that cross through our property.
'The Nile Farmstay' is our Facebook page if you wish to see further photos of our property.
If you enjoy swimming we have several sandy creeks, a pristine swimming hole and a heated swim spa that can accomodate large groups.
Feel free to pick the fruit that is in season from our trees. We have fig trees, lemons, persimmon, plums, pears and mulberries to name a few.
The fire pit right beside the cabin is very popular with our guests. There is a grill plate atop so you can cook dinner over the fire or enjoy watching the sunset colours on the cliffs. We offer firewood for your stay at a small cost or feel free to bring your own. When the sun goes down the star gazing is spectacular.
We have an additional brand new cabin ready to rent. It is on another part of our property which is more secluded. Please message me if you are interested in staying in this other cabin.
Own a 4wd? You are welcome to drive around our property and take in all the tracks & views that have been created in the landscape.
Take a drive to the 'Paddock Cafe' which is about 20 minutes drive from our property to grab your breaky or lunch feed. They use local produce and sell a large variety of locally made products.
Have a larger group? We can accomodate camping and caravans. If you wish to book the cabin and then have camp sites nearby also we have done that before for larger groups. We book our camp sites through Hipcamp.

We had an amazing stay, Mandy and her family were so welcoming and we recommend visiting the local town that has a great cafe and nice little shops, it’s a great break from the city with amazing views
Stunning area and amazing view from this comfortable little cabin, spa and fire pit an extra bit of fun!! Great communication and warm welcome from owners and their animals, enjoyed our hike from the property into the Wollemi National Park on the Glen Alice Trail, such an awesome place to relax and unwind, Thanks :)
Mandy was an amazing host! We loved our stay at The Nile and although we generally like to explore all different places when holidaying, it was one destination we could definitely revisit at some point in time!
This property was wonderful to stay on, it was in a lovely part of the country and the views were stunning. Our hosts, Mandy and Jake, were so lovely and welcoming, and Rabbit was so adorable! We could not recommend this experience more, we could not have picked a better Tiny Home to stay in for our first experience in one.
The stay was absolutely incredible the views were so nice and had no issues with anything whatsoever if there was something it was quite easy to get help!! Would definitely recommend this as a place for a nice relaxing getaway
Loved the off grid location. Great place for a getaway and bushwalking. Very clean and comfortable accommodation. The hosts were great and very welcoming. We will be going back.

Thank you Karis! We are so glad you guys had such a great time. All the best.
The cabin was private and comfortable. 360 degree views were absolutely stunning. We had such a wonderful time exploring the area. Our hosts Jake and Mandy were a pleasure to deal with. They were so accommodating right from the get go. They were more than happy to help us out whenever we needed it. This place is a gem and I know that we will return for another stay. 10 out of 10.
My wife and I had a wonderful time staying here. The views were incredible, the cabin was cozy, clean and had everything we needed. The owners were friendly and great hosts, allowing us to explore the property freely and even offering a later check-out time if we needed it. Would definitely recommend, the long scenic drive to and from is worth it alone!

Thank you Hayden for your kind words. It was lovely to meet you and we hope you enjoyed the rest of your trip.
Lovely property with wonderful views from the tiny house. We made use of the fire pit and the spa. Surrounding area has walks into the national park. We had a great time and would have liked to have stayed a few days more!
Lovely, clean, well organised and designed 'tiny house' in a spectacular location, with great walks and opportunities to swim and beautiful countryside. The hosts are really helpful and the spa and fresh farm eggs are to be recommended. Clear night skies make for great star gazing.

About the host
Hosted by Mandy
We are a family of 4 who purchased this farm as a weekender in 2018. Many weekends and some years later.....we decided to take the brave step to move here permanently.
City people who knew nothing of farming - we now find ourselves helping to birth cattle, cooking our own chickens that we have raised, fixing fences and learning how to live off the land.
Why they chose this property
We stumbled across Capertee Valley by accident but are so glad we did. We never tire of the drive home.....the magnificent scenery, the colourful unique birds, the vast space. Its a very special place.
What makes this property unique
Being surrounded by the sheer cliff-faces is wonderful, especially to watch their colours change throughout the day as the sun shines on them.
