Efficiency Condo at the Base Area for a Great Rate!

The Emmons complex location is conveniently tucked within the heart of the Resort Base Area. Enjoy additional property amenities like great complimentary wifi and an outdoor communal hot tub to soak after a long day's activities. Strict parking for 1 on-site. There are other pay parking options available, or free parking in the town of Crested Butte.

This is a simple and open space for an affordable escape to the mountains. This studio, 1 full bath efficiency condominium is very convenient within the base area, and moments from skiing, and riding at the resort. The entrance is located on the third floor from the parking area but on the second floor from the slopes. Entering the condo, you’ll find a cozy compact kitchenette that provides appliances for simple condo cooking. This includes a mini fridge, two stove-top burners, a toaster oven, a microwave, and a coffee maker. There are also utensils, plates, bowls, and glasses to accommodate up to 4 during mealtime. Please note that there is no dishwasher or kitchen sink in the condo. Dishes must be rinsed and washed in the adjacent sink in the bathroom. A tiny convertible table built off of the storage shelving in the kitchenette can be used for seating, dining, and gaming but then laid down for ample room in the efficient space. There is a comfy murphy queen bed by the electric fireplace and a TV for staying in touch. There is also a built-in bunk bed with curtains for privacy in the efficient space. Each room can be divided off by custom barn doors added by the owner. Enjoy some fresh mountain air on your private balcony just above the communal hot tub deck. This is a simple and open space for an affordable escape to the mountains.

Strict parking for 1 on-site. There are other pay parking options available, or free parking in the town of Crested Butte.

The FREE Mountain Express Shuttle runs year-round for transportation to and from the Town of Crested Butte and surrounding areas. Axtel is within close walking distance of the main transit center. Summer schedule runs every 20 minutes; winter schedule runs every 15 minutes; shoulder seasons every 40 minutes.

Crested Butte Lodging & Property Management provides the basic comforts of home. Upon your arrival, you’ll find that we supply all linens, towels, and paper goods. This includes paper towels, toilet paper, starter shower kits, coffee packets with powder creamer and sugar, kitchen towels, dish sponges, dish soap, and dish detergent. If you would like to arrange housekeeping services during your stay, please contact our office to schedule for a modest fee.

Great location

Great location but small! At check in know this is unit A! Great for family with small kids for bunks like us but might be hard to fit 4 bigger people

Nice little place

Nice little efficiency at base of Mt. Crested Butte. Sleeping arrangements: one queen bed, a mattress that pulls down from the vacant spot between this and the adjacent unit, and a futon. Was comfortable for myself and my two daughters, 9 & 12. Short walk to lift, ice cream and a handful of dining options. Hot tub on deck at front of building was working.

Spring break ski trip

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The pictures and description need to be updated... the condo now features a built-in bunk bed - no futon and murphy bed. Fortunately, the bunk bed worked for our 2 kids though slightly narrow and short for our 16yr old. Our 10yr old loved the bunk bed. We loved the location and would consider staying again.

Nice studio, but it gets warm

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Nice little studio right next to the mountain village and lifts. Perfect amount of space for two adults—could maybe do three, but four seems really tight. It was pretty warm at night in early July, even with the balcony door open (there aren’t any windows). Also no kitchen sink, but did have other kitchenette amenities like hot plate, microwave, fridge.

Great stay at this property!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This place was great - looks like a fairly new remodeled condo - we may have been the first to stay there! It's nice and homey - comfortable with lots of storage even though just a studio. We slept in very comfortable queen bed and didn't use extra beds - the futon is only a twin while the murphy might be just a twin mattress to put on floor (enclosed in closet). No photo of balcony/deck on website but it was great - mountain views with 2 chairs/small table and 2 hanging hammock chairs. The location was wonderful - only minutes from town and especially for skiers, just a short walk to the lift which is right around the corner from the condo building. We didn't use the appliances to cook but enough there to use with 2 burners, toaster oven and microwave. The fridge was not a teeny hotel size but rather was plenty deep and able to hold plenty. With lots to do in Crested Butte, we didn't use the TV so can't comment on that but we enjoyed the games (nice touch). No dishsoap to wash dishes and it could use an extra mirror near an outlet (besides bathroom). No table in condo so have to sit outside/on sofa but we didn't mind at all. No elevator - stairs only. Again not a problem for us.

Pictures taken before shoddy remodeling

I travel frequently and have never written a negative review but want to save another renter from a bad experience. Since these pictures were taken, the kitchen has been cut in half with bunk beds and a separating wall. The remodeling is very shoddy. One emergency sprinkler is now tucked tightly in the corner between the new wall and the kitchen wall, and the other one is in the shower. I have concerns as to its effectiveness in the event of a fire. This is concerning because there are multiple electrical cords running everywhere along the floors in both rooms. Some of them are taped down but most are not. One of the outlets next to the bed was loose and didn't work. The fan provided sparked when we plugged it into another outlet. The balcony was unusable as it was covered in layers of dust, had huge boxes stored on it as well a pole lamp without a bulb or shade. A hammock and other items were laying on the floor as well as pieces of wood from the remodeling. There are sections of cabinetry that have been partially covered up by the remodeling (?) ... One of these may be the pull-down table referenced because we couldn't find one. We called the contact number listed, and the first rep said they'd call back (but didn't) and the second time we called the line disconnected. We tried using the QR code provided at the condo which resulted in, "Website not found." The only positive comment I can make is that the condo was very clean.

not at all what we expected

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: 1. Incorrect name of building and address (map to parking area)2. New construction inside condo was not included in rental photos3. New construction inside was not complete, unfinished wood with splinters4. No fire extinguisher in condo5. No ventilation for electric hotplate (set off the smoke alarm several times)6. Floor fan in closet had a cut cord, did not work7. New construction inside is blocking/limiting fire sprinklers and light switches8. Many exposed screws in bunk bed area supporting curtains9. Batteries for remote control lights were missing or dead10. Floors were not clean (clearly not mopped or swept before rental)11. No broom provided to sweep with, no vacuum provided12. No cleaning towels or rags available13. Only sink (for dishwashing) is in bathroom14. Bathroom sink had constant leak/drip15. Not enough dish soap for multi-day rental16. Not enough counterspace for food preparation17. No kitchen table or chairs for meals18. Half of balcony is blocked with large construction boxes19. Dead plants on balcony20. Light switch on balcony was not accessible, solar lights did not work21. Power cords taped along floor22. Multiple outlets with substandard extensions/splitters23. TV would not work consistently, disconnecting every 3-5 minutes24. Internet service was not consistent25. Cable box dangling from shelving, exposed cables, power cords and wires everywhere26. Personal documents, check, bills and cell phone were left out in the shared area27. Stains on bedding28. Freezer was fully iced over, not useable29. Large chair in the sleeping area walkway, blocking passage to balcony and bathroom

Great location and clean property

A great place to stay at Crested Butte with easy access to the lifts, base area and transportation. The only downside was the lack of an elevator.
