This little get away was perfect for us. It's close to the beach, shops, restaurants, and the parks our softball tournaments were played. Scott and Kristi were more than helpful and accommodating! We will book again.

This was exactly what I was looking for when I started looking for a place in SC. The owners were wonderful and easily communicated to. The location could not be more perfect with the ocean just a block away. I cannot wait until we are able to return.

loved it NOT, clean partly, quiet-not at all, renovated partly- roofing for 6 days-no refund

renovated: the floor, yes,renovated the walls- yes, but looks like a Kinder garden did the job.all over the baseboards, not reached the ceiling always .Kitchen new, cheap, Fridge old and rusty, very loud. Sofa surface-clean and smelling strongly. Air condition full of dust and mold?-not identifiable. Smells overpowered by car vent clips on the AC. Closet inside not cleaned. If you lift the shades, black dirt? rust or whatever looks at you.Bath tub old and yellowish, shower old, do not touch the towel rack, it falls apart, ends of rack sticks rusty.Door to bathroom chipped.Wicker chairs full of dust or mold in the wicker .A weird metal stand full of rust spots. No nightstand or shelf at bed.Ceiling fans -dust loaded. During my 11 day stay, 6 days of roofing work- no refund. Owner let me know, that I had signed a contract in which I agreed to those impositions. Now the best: I was forced to allow pest control to spray toxins INSIDE the apartment, which means : into my towels, clothes, bed etc.if not- I would have to pay 50$. After the spraying my eyes burnt I had itching everywhere and head ache. They said it is only on the floor, but everybody knows how spray flies.

And from the toxin-sprayer-guy I learned, that the owner had given out the entrance code. In other words, anybody could have entered at night or when I was gone. Great feeling,especially,when you are traveling alone as a woman. Next time I will choose better and hope to find people, who respect their guests.

Owner's Response: We take pride in providing a clean & comfortable escape for our guests. As the usual positive reviews show, our guests think we hit the mark. We sincerely regret that this guest was dissatisfied -- even one less-than-happy guest is one too many. In fact our welcome letter emailed after booking states: If during your stay you encounter a problem, PLEASE contact us immediately so we can address it. We also state in our rental agreement that the guest signed that the condo is part of an HOA that performs maintenance without notice to us. The guest stayed with us last year and has, therefore, read those advisories twice, and we were able to assure her during her stay that the television was cable because she stated she is sensitive to radiation and wifi will make her sick. Unfortunately, unlike last year, this year the guest did not contact us until 2 days after her departure when she demanded a refund for her stay. We offered her a free night if she stayed with us again but lamented to her: If you had contacted us we would have moved you to our two bedroom condo just up the road at Sanabel Towers for no additional cost to you. But she gave us no opportunity to deal with a no notice roofing situation that was fixing a leak issue. Our next door neighbor said our small building’s roof was done in 1 ½ days. Her email to us said: Apparently this imposition of three days hammering over my head,dirt and nails flying , not being able to access the condo and loud shouting Mexicans from 7.00 to 7.00 is perfectly ok. The review above states it was 6 days. We're fortunate to have a local cleaner who takes great personal pride in her work and had we been notified of issues our cleaner would have resolved them for the guest. This is MY vacation home, I work hard to make it comfortable, and we know that there's always room for improvement which is why we ask people to call or email us. We'll keep trying in that regard, and appreciate opportunities to open our home to others who want to enjoy the beach.

Clean, nice, and quiet.

I went down for my sisters wedding and didn't want to do the normal hotel stay. This was a great trip with a nice area to stay. I would highly recommend this to anybody looking for a central located quiet place right next to the beach.

Why Scott Hinton chose Windy Hill

Windy Hill is a residential part of N. Myrtle Beach. The beach access is quieter, no stepping over people on the beach during the peak season. The condo is on the 2nd of 2 floors so it has a great view but is in a residential area so our neighbors are retirees and it is quiet and relaxing!!! Just 1/2 mile west to everything you need at Barefoot Landing-shopping and wine tasting!

What makes this condo unique

Quiet residential area, less crowded beach, near Barefoot Landing, CLEAN, owner managed. We regularly check on our condos, doing deep cleaning and maintenance.


Car: recommended

1 row in from the beach, on the 2nd floor so great views of the ocean overlooking the pool. In a quiet, residential, 2 story small condo complex so far from the crowded high rises. LOTS of free parking in front of condo in condo parking lot.

Beach access has 5 restrooms and fresh water shower and drinking fountains. Lifeguard at entrance during swimming season.

1. When you Request to Book VRBO will add up the rental fee, the cleaning fee, the taxes, VRBO’s Booking fee paid to VRBO and the security deposit and show you the breakdown by item.
2. Linens and towels are not provided but may be rented for an additional fee of $65.
3. Stays of less than 4 days will be charged a $55 Reservation Fee.
4. Keyless entry so no lost key fee to worry about. No pool pass required so no “lost pool pass fee” to worry about. No daily resort fee, no inspection fee, no concierge fee, no processing fee.
5. Prices are for two adults and up to two children 17 or younger. $10 per person additional charge.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund if canceled at least 14 days before arrival date.
