My wife and I went for an extended weekend getaway to get some peace and quiet and this place hit the spot. we really enjoyed the porch, rocking chairs and swing. We plan to return for another long weekend very soon.

Nice spot for a weekend getaway

My boyfriend and I were attending a wedding in Sparta so we decided to make a weekend out of it and booked this cabin. Overall, the stay was good. Property is as pictured and it was nice to sit on the deck and listen to the creek. The property next door does have cows so we were woken up early every morning by the herd mooing to each other. Place was clean, however there did seem to be a lot of carpenter ants in the bedroom, more than normal for a place in the country. The other issue we had was none of the baking sheets provided fit in the oven. They were all too big. Overall we enjoyed our stay though and would stay again.

Wonderful for new family of four!

This cabin provided us the perfect getaway. We wanted a weekend in the moutains with nothing but family time on the agenda, and this cabin was the perfect fit for us. Took our two littles (1.5 year old and 2 month old) and throughly enjoyed holding my babies during naps on the porch. Toddler ran around the porch, inside through the house and back out again pretty much the entire time. Loved the rocking chairs, cozy blankets, board games, and the fact it had everything to make it feel like home away from home. Beautiful inside and out. We came on a colder night than expected, and the hosts had the heat on for us when we arrived! They really think of everything!

Peaceful and Perfect

This place was amazing. I wanted a place to relax and find some peace and this cabin is perfect. It’s quiet and tucked away with the most beautiful views. It’s stocked with all the necessities and great wifi so there’s no reason to leave except to explore. I would 100% come back.

Great experience!

Our experience was straight out of a Hallmark Christmas Movie! The cabin was wonderful and so were the hosts! The place was impeccably cleaned and supplied with the essentials and more. The beautiful view of the lightly snow covered Christmas tree farms were perfection. The driveway was easy to navigate even in the snow. Honestly, the only downside was that we didn't book a longer stay!

Perfect Quaint Country Getaway

I will start this review by saying I was NOT looking forward to this trip one bit. We were visiting the area for a wedding in the family, which normally would be a joyous occasion, but it was put together at the last minute and meant I had to take my daughter out of school for a day, AND drive 12+ hours there and back in one weekend. Yep, not looking forward to it one bit as I booked this house, as I packed our bags and the car, and as I wrote the note to her teacher a week before. However, as I stepped into this cabin, all of my jitters and anxieties melted away. This cabin is the perfect getaway for anyone looking to escape life for a minute. The owners were extremely responsive any time we asked for anything. They accommodated our “extra day” so that we could take our time to pack up and leave the following evening. It just really made the entire weekend better! I’m so grateful this place is on VRBO!!

Quiet and peaceful

Beautiful area to stay parks nearby and other attractions. The owners are friendly they stopped by to show us how to operate ac/heating, tv, and washer dryer combo. They left jam and other treat.

Convenient Location to Sparta & Quiet Woodland Area

The location was convenient and the property was the perfect size for us. We enjoyed sitting on the back deck and listening to the stream. It was quiet and peaceful. The cabin design and antique furniture are lovely. The linens were clean and of good quality. There were some nice touches such as the homemade jam and english muffins. There were other nice to have kitchen items and toiletries as well. The outside could use some basic cleaning (cobwebs and such) and the landscaping needed a little TLC. The most disappointing features were the mattresses and the broken sofa. We tried both beds and unfortunately neither of them were comfortable. We intended to stay three nights but left a day early due to lack of restful sleep. We would probably visit again if we knew the mattresses were replaced. The owner did say they are considering replacing them.

The cabin was very well kept and very well stocked. It was very clean and so very comfortable. The contact person was easy to talk to and so very helpful. We will definitely be staying there again.

Perfect cabin

We frequent Sparta, and usually stay with family at our family home. However, having two boys, and a moderately active schedule, we sometimes like to have a place to "call our own" while in Sparta. This cabin is great. Cozy, comfortable, and has all you would need for a family of four. Located far enough away from town to keep things nice and quiet, but not too far than a quick trip to the grocery store or restaurants isn't a hassle. This is our go to cabin. We adjust our travel dates based on it's availability.

Me and wife enjoyed it. We had a trailer with our motorcycle on it had plenty room for parking. And wow awesome shower with plenty of water pressure. Quiet little place. Highly recommend

Great get away!!

This is such a darling cabin! Super easy to check in and homemade jam upon arrival. Owners checked in while we were there and shared about the family property. The mountain was air was cool and crisp despite 95 degree heat in the Triangle. The cabin feels entirely private and the porch is fantastic for relaxing and listening to the brook. Would definitely go back for a relaxing, quiet weekend!

We had a wonderful stay

The cabin felt so comfortable and included everything we needed. We loved the calm and secluded cabin to help us unwind. The owners were friendly and helpful. The strawberry jam and English muffins were a perfect touch to make us feel welcome. It was wonderful to sit on the porch rockers and enjoy the sounds of the creek as we read. We would love to return!

Quiet and relaxing

Neat cottage in the woods. Owners are on the property ( in another location) and very nice. Especially enjoyed relaxing on the back porch. A creek is on the property and can be heard from the porch. Perfect for the two of us. Enjoyed going to Sparta, never been there before. Close enough to a lot of places for hikes and antique hunting. All around, the most relaxing stay we have had in a long while. We’ll go again.
