Perfect Homebase

Booked this house for our annual escape from the kids weekend. Location was perfect. Quiet neighborhood but convenient to downtown and great launching point for some amazing hikes in Pisgah. Beds were comfy and house was stocked well. We will be back for sure, kids in tow next time!

Recent stay for Mt biking and hiking

Over all a Very good location, close to town yet quiet and private. Large home was great to accommodate the 5 of us with plenty of space. The screen porch was nice on rainy days. Needed a few more storage options in the bedrooms, hooks for the bathrooms and a gas grill would be helpful.

Festival weekend

This is spacious home on a beautiful lot in a very convenient location. It was a short ride across town to the festival site, Brevard Music Center. The bedrooms and baths were small, typical of an older home, but adequate. Third bath is downstairs while all three bedrooms are on the main floor, a slight inconvenience. Great time playing games at the large dining table. We enjoyed the deck and the beautiful view.

House was set with just about everything we could think of!! Even fire starter … thanks for that! The large living area could use more accent tables for placing drinks while sitting in there. The house was clean and ready for us even a little early! We had hoped to walk to town but there isn't safe sidewalk access on the busier road we would have traveled. No fault of the owner, just wanted to share that for anyone looking for that feature.

This was everything I hoped for. Spacious, clean, with a huge backyard. The few little hiccups I had on my stay were handled promptly and professionally. I was able to safely walk to Brevard College and downtown. I had to take the long way, but it only tacked on about a tenth of a mile. Walking to the college was along a dirt road, but it worked.

What a wonderful home! We stayed here for a girls weekend and loved it! The location was excellent and convenient to downtown and many other attractions in the Brevard area. We also ventured to Asheville one day and Hendersonville the next for shopping. The owner supplied a "welcome" booklet with information such as WiFi password, etc., and brochures for many activities in the area which was very helpful. The house was spacious and well equipped. There are 2 large living areas plus a sunroom and a huge deck on the back overlooking a large backyard where we sat and watched the white squirrels. The personal touches throughout the house made you feel like you were "at home", especially the wooden bowls and accessories, and the beds were so comfortable! We will definitely stay here during our next trip to Brevard!

Excellent location

My wife and I and two friends stayed here Thursday through Saturday in May. Our overall impression of the property was great. Excellent location and white squirrels were seen multiple times which we loved! The furnishings in the home were dated and at first the smell of "old" was rather strong but we either got used to it or it went away. Not a game changer though. The third bathroom is downstairs so if you have mobility issues is not ideal but thankfully we didn't and it wasn't a problem. Overall the location of this property couldn't have been better and we had a wonderful time "chasing waterfalls" and exploring Brevard.
