This is one of the best places I have rented. The owner was very responsive. The building is stocked with everything you need down to firewood and folding chairs for the fire pit. The kitchen is extremely well stocked. The beds were very comfortable. Great location on the chain of lakes. Took a 5 hour boat ride. We will be back.

This home was very nice! We had everything we needed there. Very well stocked with all kitchen supplies.

Great family time!

The house was beautiful and well stocked with anything you need! We loved the fire pit and the swing by the river. It’s a nice setting for a large family with plenty of space inside and out!

Family vacation

Our stay was very nice. House was beautiful. Ryan is a great host. Kept in touch. Any questions I had, were answered within a short time. House was very clean. Everything you needed was there.

Great family vacation spot right on the Eagle River

This was the first time our family vacation in the greater Rhinelander area. When we saw the listing right on the river with the docks, we got very excited. We brought four of our own kayaks and the host also had two sit in kayaks for us to use. The grandkids had fun splashing in the shallow water right by the dock. The fire pit was a great way to warm up after getting wet. The inside of the house was clean and fresh smelling. Three bathrooms and the four bedrooms worked great for a large gathering. Nice kitchen that is well appointed.

Where To Start…

Upon driving up to this house we were welcomed to piles of trash bags sitting outside from the previous guests. Walking into the house we were hit with what appeared to be the smell of cigarette smoke embedded in the walls. We could tell right away that the house had not been vacuumed as there were small rocks and pieces of grass all around the house and crumbs on the counters (cleaning fee?). We were really hoping to utilize the downstairs but it was so cold we had to all stay upstairs. The bunk bed room that my daughter and my wife and I stayed in was interesting. Any movement by my daughter caused a loud creak noise that would wake us up every time. The guard rail (aka a 2x4) in the top bunk was loose in the bracket and any bump caused us to also wake up. The barn door on the main hallway bathroom doesn’t have a door stop on the rail and the sharp door handle just about amputated my finger numerous times. The digital lock on the front door quit working half way into our stay and upon notifying the main contact of the situation they told me to try it again in the morning (really???) which equated to an unlocked house for half of our stay. We couldn’t wait to check out. After finally checking out we noticed something got into the piles of trash that welcomed us when we first arrived. I haven’t felt this financially ripped off in a long time. VRBO’s fees were insane and so vague. The house was gross despite the new owners remodeling it (see Zillow). Never again…

We are sorry to hear that you did not have the five-star experience we endeavor to provide our guests. - We value the cleanliness and condition of the home and apologize for the trash left before your stay. We were made aware of this by the cleaners and have since added a 3rd trash can for guest use. - We aim for transparency and the home is a non-smoking property. If previous guests were smoking in the home, this would be in clear violation and I will reach out to our Guest Contact on this concern. We do our best to provide a clean and comfortable environment. Our cleaning team prides itself on professionally and thoroughly preparing the home before guests' arrival. - Regarding the property's ventilation, the vents leading to the downstairs area are closed. This is done to maintain a comfortable and cool atmosphere downstairs, without making it overly cold to stay in that space. - The condition of our furniture is important to us and this is the first instance of feedback we've received regarding the bunk beds. We appreciate your input and we will immediately address the creaking noise and the issue with the loose bracket to ensure a swift resolution. - The barn does have a door stop positioned on the upper rail of the door. Once we received the feedback on the door handle, our Guest Contact thoroughly inspected the property and reconfirmed no issue needs to be addressed. - We evaluated the door lock and confirmed that it was operating well as the batteries had just been replaced. We suggest guests select each code slowly for easy access. When we were in communication with you about the door lock, you shared that it wasn't of concern and that it was working just fine. We truly do all we can to make the best possible stay, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests.
