Get ready for a memorable oceanfront holiday on the North Coast when you stay in Rockaway on the Beach, a 2 level, 3,200 square foot launchpad for your next coastal stay.

With four bedrooms and two game rooms, this home is the perfect spot for a gathering of friends or a family reunion. Its light-filled great room will draw guests to the contemporary furnishings, large flat-screen TV; the wood-lined and beamed vaulted ceiling is supported by floor-to-ceiling windows and views of beach grass and ocean sky.

You can walk right out to an expansive deck with a new hot tub, dining tables, a gas barbecue, and a private entrance to a sandy path to miles of beach. When you aren’t dining on the deck, you can gather at the trestle table in the sunny dining room or the long breakfast bar overlooking the newly remodeled chef’s kitchen. It sports a large gas range, stainless-steel appliances, and plenty of skylit counters and an island—making a perfect spot for lots of helpers to cook for a crowd.

Two queen bedrooms give you space for extra guests, though you’ll want to reserve the elegant king master suite for yourself. The kids will delight in the bunk room, not to mention the two game rooms with both ping-pong and pool tables, sofa, TV, refrigerator and elevated table. They’ll also enjoy the delights of the beach and the town of Rockaway, with its shops, dining, fishing, and steam railroad trip to and from Garibaldi. This property includes a noise alert monitoring system in order to ensure that neighborhood noise levels are respected. Again, please realize we want every group to enjoy their time, laugh, have fun and make memories. These devices are only to ensure noise levels don't reach a threshold that bothers our neighbors. Also, please note there is no electronic video surveillance monitoring pools or spas, or on the interior of the house.

Traditional long Sept weekend at Oregon coast of our family group, great kitchen area for food prep and very ample storage.. kite flying and s’mores on beach were a treat. Management company very response to our inquiries..

Well equipped with plenty of space. We all enjoyed the pool table, ping pong table and hot tub. Location was ideal with ocean front access right from the deck. Nicely adjacent to Rockaway Beach, Tillamook, Manzanita, and Cannon Beach but without the crowds!

Wonderful vacation home

We stayed 2 nights in July with family ranging from age 75 to 9 months old and a dog. The home was clean. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for everyone. Great location, easy access to beach, house located on quiet private street. Ping pong table and Billiard table, board games and puzzles were a plus. We enjoyed walks along the beach which was easily accessible via a private trail through the tall grass. The south jetty had great tide pool to explore during low tide. Kitchen was well stocked. We cooked and grilled and ate at the dining table large enough to seat all of us. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this house and was able to make wonderful memories together! Couple things we would recommend looking into are below: 1. the back sliding door is hard to open and close 2. it would be nice to have some windows with screen (one above the sink and several facing the beach) to open and let cross breeze in to ventilate the house 3. mattresses in the downstairs bedrooms may need to be changed. One of our family members said the mattress was lumpy and too soft 4. Kitchen is well stocked with all sorts of utensils and plenty of plates/cups/silverware but it would be nice to have a lighter, couple more silicone tipped tongs and consider getting new frying pans/pots. 5. The hand towel hanger in the 1/2 bathroom upstairs was loose and the soap dispenser did not work. 6. Lastly, I would recommend putting a strip or sign downstairs where there is a step down between the bedrooms and the billiard room. Many of us almost tripped and fell. Thank you!

AMAZING place

This home is really just perfect. The overall location is five minutes from the main Rockaway Beach area (great food and activity), and then it is centrally located so that in 40 minutes you can go north to Cannon Beach, and in 40 minutes you can go south to Short Beach and Tillamook. It is literally right on the beach - you walk out the back sliding glass door and a magical walkway leads you to a pretty much private stretch of beach surrounded by mountains. There is also a large hot tub right on that back deck to enjoy. But that's not even the inside. The house is planned in such a way that a really large family - or two small families - could rent the home and have plenty of space to never feel cramped. The upstairs master is spacious, and the living area is full of natural light. Massive kitchen with everything you need, comfy sofa and chairs, and tons of games and books to help when the pacific northwest weather does what it does. Downstairs has a pool table, ping pong table, and three bedrooms - one of which is bunk style. The washer and dryer are great as well. All said, our family of six enjoyed five amazing nights there.

Beautiful and spacious home!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beachfront home. Location was great right on the beach, incredible sunsets each night. Plenty of room for the adults and our kids. Well stocked and huge kitchen. The home has been completely renovated inside with beautiful floors, modern bathrooms and updated kitchen. We enjoyed the pool table, ping pong table and hot tub.

Quiet beachfront property

We enjoyed this home! The kitchen was beautiful and well stocked. The beds were really comfortable and the hot tub was excellent! This house had plenty of room. The main living area is upstairs and the beach is a short trail walk away in case you have anyone with mobility issues, but for our group it worked out really well. Rochaway is just a short (5 minute) drive into town and we loved the private location of this home. We would rent again!

Family reunion

My family had an amazing time at the beach house. Everything was outstanding! The house is huge and has everything needed for a very comfortable stay. Having the beach to ourselves was fantastic! 21st Birthday Family Trip

The location of the home is quiet and private, we had the beach almost completely to ourselves for much of the trip. The layout allowed for plenty of privacy but also good shared spaces. The kitchen was nicely appointed, and the large dining table made for a great place to share meals and play games.

GREAT EXPECTATIONS

There were so many wonderful things about this property. The upstairs area was outstanding. Beautifully decorated, comfortable, fully equipped kitchen, and thoughtful touches such as board games, beach toys, hot tub. However, the bedrooms downstairs where family stayed was a different story. Carpet stains, spiders and many cobwebs, mice droppings. Our cousin left early because of this🙉. The ping pong table is broken, but we played anyway. The pool table was very nice, as was the bar table. The outdoor garbage can was full when we drove up, so we had to leave after our stay with it overflowing. To not have a spotless place to stay for the money charged??? Not worth it. Would look for another place for less $$$ next time.

House was perfect for us - thank you

Four generations of our family from age 9 to 77 enjoyed the Once Upon a Tide house for 3 days and it was perfect for us (9 people). The layout worked well so we had both togetherness and privacy. 4 bathrooms convenient and well-spaced. Open kitchen nicely appointed, plenty of dishes, glassware, flatware, placemats etc. Appliances first rate. Picnic style dining table held us all easily both for meals and for playing cards and board games (we brought our own, but there were many in the house too). Hot tub was great. Pool and ping pong tables added to the fun. Easy path for a 2-minute walk to the spacious beach where we flew kites, took walks and enjoyed the beautiful ocean setting. Everything was very clean, comfortable and well stocked. Really could not ask for more and each one of us there agreed. Definitely recommend this house and would be happy to return to it. ps picked up a delicious crab dinner at Captain's Corner in nearby Garibaldi (they cooked and cleaned the crab and even sold individual melted butter in small cups.)

Beautiful beach property

This property was very clean, well stocked, and was exactly as advertised. It has very easy access to rhe beach, and had great amenities (pool table, ping-pong table, and hot tub). I highly recommend this property to any family looking for a wonderful beach experience.
