Destin vacay

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Beautiful view and location.Only a few issues.A considerable number of water bugs in the kitchen and bath.Light didn’t work and outlets were not secure.Sliding door in bedroom had loosely attached handles.Other than that it was wonderful.Mike

Roach problems

The property is perfect, other than a cockroach infestation. The first night I killed approximately 20. The next day I contacted management. I was promptly contacted by the manager who apologized and advised she would send maintenance out. After a day at the beach we returned to find a note from maintenance that said they had treated the condo. The note also advised a professional exterminator would be out the next day to treat the condo. The next day we returned to the property and could smell the bug spay. A note was left stating the property had been treated. There were still roaches that came out each night but much less. The management acted fast and in my opinion did the best they could do. Other than the roaches the property is perfect and I have no other complaints. I appreciate the managers swift attention. I just wish this had not been an issue because it took away from our vacation experience.

Pictures are deceiving

Molded coffee grounds in the coffee pot + old coffee still in the pot Broken glass on kitchen floor, ended up picking up glass on my shoe soles for days in kitchen and hallway. Both patio door locks broken, rotted, rusted- I had to use stuff in the apartment to create a barrier to entry. Black hair on towels - gross, was washing my face with a cloth and black hairs running across my face 🤮 Dirty silverware put back in drawer - took several eating utensils out to use and they were greasy with old food on them. Stove had grease splattered all over it. Dirty coffee cups - still had dried coffee in them Blanket thrown on closet floor - multiple items just crammed in closet floor- blankets, stained pillows, etc TV in bedroom / remotes - leave directions, impossible to figure out how they work! Crumbs all over living room rug Cracked toilet cover Filthy floors. Walked around after showering, feet got filthy, and had to re-shower again and use shower shoes because floors were so dirty. Worst place I have ever stayed through VRBO. Don’t recommend. Their cleaning person sucks! The only reason I stayed was because the view from the patio was great. Otherwise, I would have requested a change to a different place. The decorations look like someone just literally went to a garage sale and bought whatever was available. Definitely not inviting. Appliances are old and rusted.

The rental was comfortable and had beach items available for us to use while we went to the beach. The place was a little old and could use some renovations but it was clean. The only con is that we seen about 3 small roaches crawling around during our stay. It wasn’t a deal breaker for me since we were barely there however, I was not expecting to have extra company.

The decor, in my opinion , could of looked a little more coastal but the view definitely distracted from that. The bed was very comfortable and the condo was clean . We are looking forward to staying there again next year.

Great little condo for the price

Excellent stay with a fantastic view.

Property was fun and convenient to the beach. The staff was friendly and helpful. Really cozy patio to enjoy the sounds of the beach at night. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Miss Marie was absolutely accommodating and really made us feel at home. Will definitely be rebooking with Destin Getaways!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall, our rental was great. The condo itself was well kept and clean. We were able to check in early, per our request and payment. However, we also requested and were approved for a late check out. As we were waking the day off check out and preparing to begin cleanup, the cleaning crew showed up 2 hours early. As such, we then felt obligated to rush and did not take advantage of the full late check out. Our only other issues was the bed cover. It was completely covered in bodily fluid(s). The bed itself was very comfortable. We just had to remove/replace the cover. We would return;however, I would ensure our communication to the owners regarding these issues was resolved first.

Roaches!

I would have loved this property if it hadn't been for the roaches. We noticed roaches in the kitchen area on our 2nd day of our month long stay. Had the exterminator come out twice to take care of the problem, but they never fully went away. Location and layout of the property was great and loved the view from the balcony, but because of the roaches we will not stay here again.

Decent spot!

Overall good experience with beautiful views! I truly believe the condo could use some sprucing up- updated, touch ups, etc. The door keypad did not lock at all for us & I received no response to my email about it. The back sliding door was Jenky. They are very strict about little things around the place as well. The view is great of the beach! Just a quick walk across the street, which is very convenient. The pool is nice and just out back. We had arrived early for check in, and the cleaning crew was just getting there from “back to back” bookings. They were only in there 30 minutes. Seems to quick to do an actual thorough clean. The dryer does not dry- took like 4 cycles to actually dry out clothes. They provide the absolute bar minimum. No dustpan to even clean up after yourself. For the price I guess that’s what you get. We didn’t spend too much time indoors but would’ve been nice to have a place more well cared for.

Reviewer Comments: I absolutely loved the location and the condo size was perfect for 2 people. I did have a few issues while we stayed- the floors and sheets were dirty when we first arrived, the lock for the outside door wouldn’t lock, the door handle for the balcony was broke and the dryer didn’t work. The first night we stayed we had problems with the toilet, it wouldn’t flush, but I fixed that myself. I did let Destin getaways know of those issues.Overall, those issues could of been taken care before we arrived. We had a great time while we were there and I would definitely stay at that condo again if we don’t have those issues again.

The view is spectacular from the balcony. No ceiling fan in master bedroom but we purchased our own small fan, just a personal preference to sleep with a fan on. We would definitely recommend this rental. Keep in mind it is on the third floor so a lot of steps which we didn’t mind it was good exercise. Not very far to walk to the pool or the beach. I have not complained to owners about the clothes dryer not drying clothes. We mostly hung up everything out on the patio or in the bathroom. Over all we were satisfied with this property. Thank you.
