Come visit this new listing in the countryside at our century-old, newly-renovated Home On The Hill on scenic, world-famous Cape Breton Island. Enjoy the antique/vintage furniture and décor, and the warm, bright spaces. You get the best panoramic views out over the biggest part of the Bras d'Or Lake, and ohhh, the sunsets!
Enjoy antique hardwood floors on the main level, wide-plank pine floors on the upper level, 2 full bathrooms and a well-equipped kitchen to help you cook and enjoy family meals. It's a vintage farmhouse with all the modern amenities.
The many pieces of antique/vintage furniture and decorations retain the old-school charm of this home and the many windows keep it bright and just an enjoyable place to relax and explore the Island from.
Air conditioning is on the main level ONLY, but does help cool the upstairs some. Fans are in each bedroom for guest comfort.
High-speed wi-fi is in the Home as well as books, games and DVDs.
Lots of space outside to enjoy, including a partially-covered deck overlooking the lake, a smaller screened porch, and the firepit.

この宿泊施設のオーナーになった理由
We love Cape Breton in general for the fantastic scenery and peacefulness, and our Home On The Hill enjoys some of the best sunsets in the region as it looks out over Bras d'Or Lake. The community here is small and everyone helps and looks out for each other. it's just such a great place - far enough from "busy" to be peaceful while still close enough to all the amenities needed.

Our Home has a unique blend of the old-world charm of a farmhouse with antiques and vintage items, and at the same time provides all the modern features people want.
And we can't say it enough...the views are what makes it.
