Located on the shores of Indian River / Lake Muskoka, and minutes to the amenities of Port Carling, this is a perfect family cottage! A short drive to the local ice cream shop, Turtle Jacks, Bevergino and many other dining options. Grocery and LCBO can be reached a short paddle or drive away. A short drive to Bala where you will find quaint shops, restaurants and the KEE if you decide to take in a concert, there's also the weekly waterski shows. This cottage is situated in the hub of Muskoka Lakes. venture out from the cottage by boat, Lake Joseph and Lake Rosseau are easily accessible through the Port Carling locks within minutes, you'll find plenty of water activities and no shortage of destinations for dining, shopping and sight seeing. Convenient boat rentals and charters offered at Bala Cove Marina, just a 15 min drive away.
Winter activities include ice fishing a short distance away, snowmobile trail is nearby, a must visit is the Muskoka Lakes farm and winery, skate a 1.2 km loop around 12 acres of cranberries. With forest on one side and cranberry beds on the other, this is a one-of-a-kind experience. Head back to the winery for hot mulled wine or hot cran-apple cider.
The cottage also boasts an all new kitchen with quartz countertops which opens onto the open concept living & dining area, floor to ceiling patio doors offers an expansive water view of the lake. A large deck offers the perfect space to enjoy a BBQ by the water. Spend the day swimming in the water which has shallow water entry and gets deeper as you go out. After a long day guests can gather by the fire-pit and share stories of the day or enjoy S'mores. For those guests with a longer stay, there is washer and dryer for your convenience. When it is time to wind down this property has 3 bedrooms in the main level and a fabulous primary loft with a luxurious en-suite. There is plenty of space for all of your family and friends.
Conveniently located next to a boat launch, guests can rest assure launching and docking their boat and watercrafts will be a breeze,. We welcome pets as long as their owners keep them off furniture and keep up with stoop and scoop. we only accept weekly rentals in July and August.
