Summered in Muskoka all my life at this location. Work and lived in Toronto. Worked in the service industry for 40 years. M.C. of the Royal Muskoka Island picnic for 40+ years. Great fisherman :) Built a new, year round lake house in 2018 and learned to love Muskoka all year. The new experiences keep coming, living our best life. Snowmobiling and exploring the north by sled is the new great adventure. We keep busy and involved by offering our vacation rental for the best of Muskoka experiences summer, spring, fall and winter. It's given much back to us with new relationships that have grown with our guests. Introducing people to the beauty and experiences of Muskoka has become a great pleasure and benefit in my life. Lake Rosseau is joined to lovely lake Joe through the Joe river & lake Muskoka through the locks in Port Carling and the Muskoka river. The "big three lakes" form the heart of Muskoka & the best fresh water boating in the world. The lakes are filled with iconic scenery, rock cliffs, towering pines and islands and beautiful clean water. There are small towns and hotels and restaurants and shopping accessible by water. Dining in Muskoka at one of the many wonderful eateries with fantastic views by the water is a little taste of heaven in such lovely settings. Taking short trips around the lakes is part of the true Muskoka lifestyle. Closer to home we are located at the end of a "peninsula" or large finger of land surrounded by water. We are on prestigious, exclusive Royal Muskoka Island ( car access/bridge). It has it's own community that is warm, friendly and welcoming. We share a green space of 32 acres in the middle of the Island. It has many amenities and features such as walking trails, basketball half court, baseball backstop, soccer field, shuffleboard, gazebo, picnic tables, bbq, and more. The Island picnic on the Aug 1st long weekend gets everyone to attend and have a good time with games and food. Many life long memories from the "picnic". The speed limit is 20 kilometers at our driveway, only 40 cottages to the end of the road, nice and quiet and peaceful (You will not find another place with all these features, flat and level properties (two) side by side, southwest facing sun all day, half moon shaped level rock point, view for miles at water level, hill across the road protects from cold North winds, large sheltered bay protects from waves, prevailing westerly winds, and excessive boat traffic. Island (car access) community is very warm and friendly. Near end of dead end road, very little car traffic, just my neighbours. Unlimited High Speed Internet with new fiber optic cable technology, for fastest speeds anywhere.

A large fireplace. The fireplace stones were collected from the historic Royal Muskoka Hotel fireplace, a few years after it burnt down, about 200 yards down the road.
