We loved the cabin. It’s the perfect place to stay and explore the area and then chill on the veranda soaking up the view . We loved the little extra touches such as the crisps, beer and wine. We’d definitely stay here again if we came back to this area. Highly recommended !!!
My wife and I, and our dog, stayed at Sundown Cabin as part of a two week road trip of NSW.
The cabin was clean, spacious and well appointed - especially the kitchen which had every convenience for home cooking.
Communications with the host before, during and after the stay were excellent.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the cabin, and its farm setting.
Great hosts, cozy log cabin with top yard for our dogs. Well equipped kitchen ad fantastic wood burner. Close to town a pleasant ten minute drive. Thankyou Tom and Cathy.
We had a lovely stay at Castledoyle. The cottage had everything we needed and was very quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed walking in the paddock and evening drinks out front.
Thank you for the thoughtful touches ( chips, beer etc ). The cottage was really in character and tastefully decorated too. Pity we couldn’t stay longer.
The cottage was a delightful country stay. With cool weather outside at night the slow combustion wood fire kept us snug and warm. The timber lined internal fittings have been tastefully installed and give the rustic appearance of a log cabin. Outside the open country vista provided fantastic sunsets and sunrises. Our dog enjoyed the enclosed yard and the long walks around the property. We look forward to staying there again.

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, location
Disliked: Communication, listing accuracy
The cottage was so unbearably cold that despite a log fire, electric blankets and a tiny electric heater we could not bare it. Freezing drafts leaked in around every window and door and the owner advised they were unable to provide us with any additional heating. We ended our stay a day early and moved on.
we enjoyed the rustic nature of the stay. Delicious warm bed, bathroom with all that you need, nice loung area. Kitchen was spacious. Some great touches…. Friendly cows, lovely view of farmland, plenty of firewood for the slow combustion heater, Even in the pouring rain that we experienced we felt cosy. Nice dog space for our old dog who cant go up and down stairs. Flat out to the grass.
We really enjoyed our time here, being that it was June long weekend, it certainly came with cold and windy weather!!The cabin was clean and comfortable with everything that you need! You are able to cook if you want to stay in, you aren't far from town if you want to eat out. The bed was comfortable the shower has enough pressure, it's quirky and there are little touches everywhere that make you smile. The host even bought a hair dryer when I asked if there was one, so they are very accommodating! The cabin is full of love and care everywhere, even tho it isn't quite finished. It lost 1 star as it has some significant drafts and it's hard to get the place comfortably warm, even with the wood fire burning day and night. It would have been great if we had arrived with the fire going (with that in mind) but it was not. The shower also needs a screen so you can close the door, or maybe a heater in the bathroom.I think we will be back, but probably in the spring! I can't wait to see what else they do to the place! Well worth the stay and it's well priced!!
