Introducing this Village Monache modern studio located in the heart of the Village right across from the Village Gondola providing access to Canyon Lodge. Within the beautiful hotel, this seventh floor studio apartment offers everything you need for convenience and luxurious accommodations on the Mountain, and the chance to bring Fido along for the adventure. Featuring a kitchenette and full access to the amazing amenities of this luxury 4-star hotel, enjoy while soaking up the central and convenient location. You can relax in the cozy living room in front of the gas fireplace and enjoy the flatscreen TV with cable. The kitchenette offers a 2 burner cook top, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, small size fridge and compact dishwasher so you can prepare simple meals and snacks. Complete with a comfortable King bed with Heavenly mattress, deluxe bedding and a small dining area for two or home office workspace. There is also a full size sleeper sofa bed in the living room for additional sleeping accommodations. The en-suite bathroom with shower/tub combo makes for a nice soak after an adventurous day. Feel comfortable in all Seasons with air-conditioning, forced air heat and gas fireplace. Take advantage of the many amenities located on grounds including year-round heated pool, jacuzzi, fitness room, 24/7 marketplace, hotel laundry room, and underground, heated garage parking with EV charging stations. This is Mammoth's premier lodging facility located just above the Village proper with great access to the Village Gondola for skiing and snowboarding, all of the shops, restaurants and bars of the Village and periphery and all of the special events held during the Summer and Winter in the Village Plaza. The Village Monache is a one of a kind Mammoth experience for the traveler wanting a convenient, 5-star mountain getaway. Please Note: There is no access to the on-site Kids Club, but Mammoth Kids Daycare program is across the street in the Village. All guests receive complimentary full access to Snowcreek Athletic Club to enjoy facilities including indoor heated pool, steam/sauna, full fitness facility, yoga, Pilates and cycle studio and more. This condo sleeps a maximum of 4 people, comes with underground garage parking for one vehicle. Larger vehicles may not fit in the garage, clearance 7' 0" is non-smoking and pets are permitted in this pet friendly hotel. This is an accessible unit accessed via hotel elevator. Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: You are in the Westin Monache but not really. The room is very nice although a bit on the small side for ski stay. I was alone so it was fine but I felt even with 2 it would feel bit cramped. I do appreciate having had blender and toaster and ice was just a few steps away although toaster doesn't really work. Westin is conveniently located but there are 76 steps UP when coming back from the Village Gondola. Only 2 elevators makes for challenges especially at the end of a ski day.

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I asked the four employees at the reception desk (who were doing nothing and not another customer in sight) for a dolly so we could bring our bags to our room. My husband has a serious heart condition. The useless, unwilling, employees informed me," You did not book through us, so that is ONE of the amenities that you forfeited." That was our first two minutes at the hotel. It doesn't set a good tone for our 3-night stay celebrating our 30th anniversary. It wasn't our 1st time there, but it will be our last. Same on you Westin managers, you can hire better than that!!! Your jacuzzi need and overhaul or replaced.

DO NOT BOOK. Multiple issues, poor communication.

This past weekend my husband and I were looking forward to a weekend away from our kids to enjoy one of our favorite places. Opting for a more pricey location compared to others we tried somewhere new, big mistake on our end. Arrived to find no shower curtain. Slight inconvenience, but no biggie. We called maint. and someone brought a bag of curtain hooks and curtains for us to install ourselves. Slightly annoyed, but fine we will install the curtain on our vacation and not let it ruin our trip. Curtain ends up being half the size it should be. Again, we shake it off. Fast forward to the evening when we return to our unit to see the AC never dropped below 74°. Despite being turned on for hours. We open a window and shake it off. Until 3 am when a storm hits and we have to close it. We make do and open it as soon as the rain stopped. With a storm hitting, the room thankfully cooled down, to a point where I was excited to use the fireplace. A big priority item for me when booking. Well, you guessed it. The fireplace was broken. I call maint. for both the AC and fireplace and they assure it will be resolved so we head off for the day. To return at 5 that night to neither fixed and no call/update. I call again, and do not get a call back until after we checked out the following day, only to say how they weren’t able to fix it, apologize for no communication, and need a vendor to go out for it. I email my concerns and get told it was all “user error”. Completely unacceptable!

During your stay we did try to assist by sending our maintenance team to address the concerns reported. We are sorry to hear that you were unable to get these items operating but when we sent maintenance they confirmed everything was working properly, the AC and the fireplace at the unit have no issues. Regarding the shower curtain, I see in our notes that someone in your party said they would prefer to install them because the bathroom was occupied, our protocol is to always have our maintenance team install whatever is needed but unfortunately your party requested the opposite and they thought it was best to let the guests make the decision in this instance. We hope you will have a more positive experience next time, and hope that you would still consider booking with us in the future. Thank you again for the comments, we take them very seriously.
