This is a well-loved family beach house. The location of the home is ideal - very close driving distance to the beach and all Brigantine has to offer. The pool is beautiful - surrounded by flowering bushes. Communicating with the homeowner was excellent. The refrigerator stopped working correctly during our stay and he was in close communication with us and arranged for a replacement immediately. All that being said, I would not recommend this property to anyone who has allergies to dust or pets. Though the listing said no pets were allowed, the owners have a dog and there was pet hair on all bathroom and kitchen mats as well as area rugs. Finally, the house did not feel clean or updated. The dust on vents and ceiling fans was so thick it appeared as if those had never been cleaned. There were mouse droppings in kitchen drawers, on counters, and under the refrigerator (where we cleaned for the new refrigerator to be installed). The toilet seat was broken, as was the hinge to the front storm door and the sliding screen door to the deck. The ceiling fan in the primary bedroom vibrated so violently it did not feel safe to use. Overall, this is clearly a long-used and beloved family beach house, but one that is not up to par for renters.
