The "Payson House" is spacious with magnificent, unobstructed views of trees and mountain surroundings from inside and out. The house is located in a quiet neighborhood. Relax on the porch swing and watch birds and hummingbirds fly by. The living room has comfy leather furniture with large windows to enjoy the view. The house features four bedrooms, two baths and sleeps 12-14 comfortably.
The Payson House is in a great location......in Payson! Just 2 miles off of the Beeline Hwy(87), so you'll be close to town for all your shopping needs, from grocery stores, restaurants, theater. park and Mazatzal Casino. If you just want to kick back and relax or take on the great outdoors, the Payson House offers both.
Incredible hiking area just 5 minutes away with easy to intermediate hiking, with trails that lead to the top of the mountain range that you can see from our viewing deck....beautiful! (Bring your binoculars!) Superb Mountain Biking just minutes away as well!
Lounge in the 'Little Forest area" down below the main house where you will find a fire pit and benches for casual conversation or for a larger group. Pitch a tent(s) and view the stars at night while eating a delicious s'more. There is a CORNHOLE game. We also have a Pool Table and a Ping Pong table!
WE ARE PET FRIENDLY! Outside our back door is a great area to walk your pets. Plenty of places for hiking for you and your dog(s).
If you like to fish, many lakes are to be found on the Mogollon Rim. You are only 40 minutes from Roosevelt Lake which is known for fantastic bass fishing. The East Verde River is only 20 minutes away and is stocked on a weekly basis during fishing season. The owner usually gets his limit almost every outing. Woods Canyon lake is also great for fishing and kayaking, etc. We are just forty minutes away from Kohls Ranch, which offers horseback riding and fishing on Tonto Creek. Tonto Creek Fish Hatchery is a must see! The Natural Bridge is just 15 minutes away.


ATTENTION- this vacation home is located in a quiet family-oriented neighborhood and is only suitable for quieter groups. Our rental policy includes a no tolerance policy regarding excessive noise, occupancy, and parties. Evictions and forfeitures of deposit for any violations of said policies are strictly enforced. Please be sure you are comfortable with these policies before renting The Payson House.

Great escape away from Phoenix heat!

We had a fantastic stay in Payson. The house had everything possible to make our stay relaxing. The view is great and kids had fun with ping pong table. Hershee, my golden doodle loved the closed in porch and enjoyed going for walks by the house.

In 1960, my folks moved to Phoenix from Chicago and after spending their first summer in Phoenix they decided to spend their summers in Payson. We have continued the tradition of spending our summers in Payson as well as throughout the year, only with friends and family and others who feel the need to get away. My hope is that all who vacation at The Payson House thoroughly enjoy their stay and the incredible beauty the Rim Country has to offer.

Why they chose this property

The Payson House is located in a quiet neighborhood with a beautiful view of the Granite Dells Mountain range. I like the fact that you feel secluded but only 5 minutes from shopping and restaurants. Most guests make comments on the great view and the homey feel.

What makes this property unique

The Headline tells the story. The Payson House is unique in that you feel very much in the forest and at the same time in a quiet neighborhood close to town. My favorite place is on the swing on the deck in the morning with a cup of coffee. Views of the mountains aren't too bad either!! Incredible Hiking just 5 minutes away due south in the Granite Dells Mountain Range, that you can view from our deck.... best hiking in the Payson area! Very quiet neighborhood!
