This was our second time visiting BRL and we had an amazing trip. The location of the condo was ideally located close to the lake and club house. Would absolutely stay here again.

This was our first time to Bear Lake Reserve and we were blown away at this hidden gem. The condo was beautiful, clean, quiet, and close to the Lake Club and pool. We enjoyed lazy mornings sitting on the porch and afternoons at the lake and pool. We can't wait to visit again!

Great weekend stay
We were at Bear Lake Reserve for my niece’s wedding and the condo was the perfect place for the weekend. It offered a great place to relax in between the festivities. The condo was just as pictured on the website and the views were amazing. Our contact for the weekend was very responsive and helpful and even had fresh bread waiting for us on arrival. We would definitely stay here again if we are in the area.

We really enjoyed our stay with accommodations that were cozy, clean and comfortable. It's a beautiful community with lots of thinking and lakefront activities. Be sure to check the lodge calendar for hours and days of operation.

From the owner: "We are so happy that you enjoyed your stay. You are correct that winter hours/days are limited."
We had a wonderful time on our fourth trip to Bear Lake Reserve. The property's location in Saddle Notch Village can't be beat due to its close proximity to the clubhouse. We found the price to be very fair and we love that our dog can tag along. The owners are very communicative and the fresh bread they left for us was a fun surprise. While the rest of the condo was very clean, we unfortunately found mouse droppings and urine on the couch. We notified the owners and were a little bummed that it wasn't taken care of while we were there, which is why we felt we had to rate cleanliness as a 3/5.Aside from this one issue, our trip was fantastic and we can't wait to return to Bear Lake next year We truly appreciate the owners' hospitality and for sharing their beautiful property with us.

We want our guests to have a relaxing and memorable stay, so we’re glad you enjoyed the location, value, and thoughtful touches. That said, we’re sorry for the issues you encountered, and after reviewing your feedback with the homeowner, they wanted to share the following:– We use a professional pest control service that treats the condo monthly, and we've also installed additional preventative measures to help keep critters out. Because of the wooded setting, mice can occasionally appear, especially if exterior doors are left open. We include a note in the condo to remind guests to keep the doors closed.– We aim to give guests their space during their stay, but understand that support would've been helpful in this situation. Our contact information is provided both before check-in in our pre-stay information and in a welcome note inside the condo, so guests can reach out if anything comes up.– After your departure, the couch was thoroughly inspected, and no odor or issues were found. We’ll continue to monitor and ensure everything remains clean and comfortable. The homeowner takes pride in creating a welcoming environment for guests. Thank you for your feedback, and we’ll continue working together to provide a positive experience for all future visitors.
The condo was beautiful & had a very easy check in. The entire stay was wonderful for us. The pool, tike bar & restaurant was so nice, and the food was great at both places. The staff was so friendly & helpful as well as Debbie the condo owner. We had a beautiful boat ride & play some pickleball during our stay. Everything we had hoped for & more!!!!

From the owner: "Thank you very much for the wonderful review! We hope you will visit us again."
We had a wonderful stay at Bear Lake. Although it was quite rainy, we still managed to find activities. Our children had fun swimming at the pools on property and we drove to both Cashiers and Highlands while we were there.
The condo is very close to the clubhouse so that was a plus! Bring your groceries with you though, as it is quite a long (and winding) drive to town! We can’t wait to come back.

I didn’t want to go home!!
We LOVED this condo and this community! The house was perfect for us! It was cozy but spacious. It was clean and had everything we needed. It was super close to the club which was great! Even though it was a condo it felt super private. The back porch was so peaceful with the trees and the sounds of the creak flowing. Overall, we absolutely loved this place and will plan to stay here again and again!
This is our 4th year at Bear Lake Reserve and it did not disappoint. There are so many things to do here including swimming, renting boats/kayaks/canoes, hiking, tennis, pickleball, golf, etc. The clubhouse includes nice amenities such as two pools, hot tubs, restaurants, poolside food/bar, pool table, shuffle board, ping pong table, mini movie theater, coffee shop, etc. The condo is clean and well-stocked. We loved the location because it is a short walk or drive to the clubhouse. We also love this particular condo location because we typically see a mom and cubs when we stay at the condos on Saddle Notch Lane. We would definitely stay at this condo again and will be back in the future.
Great stay in the condo in the Bear Lake Reserve. Too cold to golf but there are some nice hiking trails and the views from the Overlook are incredible. The condo was clean and nicely furnished. A couple of things to prepare for. The drive from the greeter's cottage is about 25 minutes so bring what you need so you don't have to make too many runs to the store. Also, this is a bottom unit and if the units above are occupied, you may hear some footsteps. The owner, Debbie surprised us with delicious sour dough bread. Communication with her was great. Many thanks Debbie for letting us borrow your condo. We had a great time.

From the owner: "Thank you very much for the 5-star review. The time you were here was unseasonably cold but that often happens in the mountains. We are definitely remote but that is one of the many reasons we live here full time. Glad you enjoyed the bread!"

Fathers Day and Babymoon Trip
We enjoyed fantastic weather and the awesome resort amenities on this trip. The home was clean and comfortable, and check-in was a breeze. Wifi worked great in the apartment and public areas, but we had forgotten that our cell phone plan does not permit wifi calling, so we just used texts. The reserve roads were a bit interesting with our mini-van but we managed. The apartment is close on the map, but too far to walk to the lake club facilities, given the hills. The drive was about 5 minutes. I would not want to drive around too much at night. Be sure to check directions in advance and note that you need to stop at the greeter's cottage, which is at the very entrance to the whole reserve, when checking in. The view from the back balcony/patio area of the apartment was thick forest, and we enjoyed hearing the stream and taking the short (steep) hike from the door of the apartment. We also enjoyed several other hikes on the property, which being 6 months pregnant were a bit ambitious but doable for me. The reserve itself seems well-managed and staffed. We rented canoes to go around the lake, which was fairly chill. There were a few other families staying at the same time, but nothing ever felt crowded. We saw one bear, not far from the apartment, but he quickly moved away. The reserve staff had already discussed bear safety during check-in. We had a fantastic (if pricey) dinner one night in the restaurant, and got some tasty non-alcoholic drinks from the poolside bar. The sandy beach was small but adequate, and the lake was so peaceful. Plenty of sun loungers available. At the end of our stay, I reported a couple issues with the property and the manager said she would address them promptly. I'd recommend asking before or during your stay if issues come up or if you have specific needs, since she is on-site and eager to please. We loved the fresh baked bread left for our arrival! Hoping to be back some time for the fall colors and to use the hot tub (it was too warm during this stay). Overall, this rental is a great value compared to others I researched in the area, especially given all the amenities to enjoy.
