Dirty, smelly, uncomfortable - and not a Stayz booking anyway - it's a third or even fourth party's
I booked this very last minute through Stayz (or what I thought was Stayz) - the property looked fine from the photos and descriptionOnce booked I started getting emails from VRBO and HomeTime, I had no idea who those companies were but referenced the same property. None of the emails ever came from the property owner themself.The check in was explanation was overcomplicated - and you almost need 3 hands to unlock both locks and turn the door handle to get in the unit's door (after going up a few steps to the foyer door which also requires two hands to use the key and turn the handle then hold the door with your foot so that it doesn't slam behind you.The moment I walked in the door I was met by a terrible smell - it was unclean, musty, grimy, the skirting boards were covered in dust and grime, there were smears on the couch when when I sat down on the extremely uncomfortable couch and the "dining room table and chairs" were just flmsy outsoor wooden fold out things which wobbled and squeaked when I set up my laptop to use. They did not put the two single beds together as requested, and when i asked for early check in was told no, the cleaners will still be there. When I arrived at 2.45 there was no cleaners and definitely no signs of anything freshly clean. I called Stayz which went to the VRBO in the Phillippines and spent over two hours being told that there was nothing wrong with the unit and I can't leave and get my money back. The whole stay was AWFUL.
