We enjoyed our stay. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed for a short stay. The neighborhood was delightful; we especially enjoyed Norm’s Diner and Pewabic Pottery. There was an issue at check-in with our access code but it was very quickly and efficiently resolved. Would certainly recommend this property.

Clean place not far from downtown.

Would gladly stay again. Short drive to downtown. Exactly as described in the listing.

The location was wonderful and great access to so many parts of Detroit. However you added a layer of security and information on other than VRBO. I think it was called Great stays and it was way too cumbersome I would not use VRBO again if they partner with you

Nice place

This is a older property that has been set up and decorated in a modern fashion. Everything was clean and well appointed. There were a couple small things that I relayed to the management just so that they could correct for future stays but didn't really affect me. Distance was decent to downtown, about 10 min. One really nice feature they might include is the locations of local grocery stores..

The electronic lock on the back door jammed shut while I was outside getting food, and my friend was inside, within an hour of check in. It could not be opened manually from the inside, remotely, or using the keypad on the outside. There were many warnings asking renters to not use the front door of the rental, but this was our only way in and out. The rental company seemed to use an after hours call service or staff member with limited knowledge of the property who sent me back and forth between the front stairs and back stairs in the rain over the course of 45 minutes searching for a lockbox. When we finally located the lockbox, in a different place than I was originally told, the key was to the back door only, which was jammed shut by the electric lock, so there was no way to get in or out unless my friend stayed inside, holding the front building door open for me to get back in, meaning we would be fully locked out if we both left the property.We were in town for a conference and missed an entire evening of one-night-only exhibitions that we had come to town to see. It took several calls and messages to get confirmation that we would be refunded in full, and we ended up having to rent a hotel last minute for the duration of our stay.In the lead-up to our stay, the host was communicative and the place itself was nice, but a faulty electronic lock that jams shut, trapping renters inside or out, with zero back up plan to get in and out through the front door is a hazard.
