Forget your worries in this spacious and serene character suite. Welcome to the Village Garden, in the heart of the Shawnigan Village. Minutes walk to a bakery, coffee shop, sushi, pizza and more. Lake access within walking distance. The suite features beautiful garden access, outdoor dining/BBQ area, full kitchen and shared laundry. The living room has “the world’s most comfortable sofa bed” for extra family members and features a heat pump so you can adjust the temperature to your comfort. Weekly and Monthly discounts available during fall and winter months. Inquire for details!

Follow the path through the beautiful garden that will lead you to the suite. Open the french doors and step into the living room featuring an electric fire place, tv, comfy lounge furniture. Through the living room you will find the full kitchen, dining area and dedicated workspace. The queen bedroom has ample closet space and french doors to keep the bedroom private from the rest of the suite. There is access to the shared washer and dryer for use as well as an ironing board.

Step outside your door to enjoy the gardens, use the bbq, and relax on the patio furniture. You can even help yourself to veggies from the garden during the late summer months.

2 minute drive to St. Johns Academy and Shawnigan Lake School. 9 minutes drive to Brentwood College School.

We have a second suite available in the upper level of the house. The suites combined will sleep a total of 6 people. Perfect if you are traveling as couples or with the extended family for some added privacy! Please reach out for details about the Village Loft and for availability.

The place for my wife and I was what we were looking for. Listing was accurate. Location was great. General store,some restaurants which were good and the lake just a short walk away. Highly recommended.

The description and pictures of this place are very accurate. It is quite spacious, even for 4 people and a dog. Everything was clean and well supplied. The garden area is actually a lot bigger than I thought it would be and very beautiful. We loved it and our dog had lots of space to burn off energy. Gay was very welcoming and kind. We would definitely come back.

Perfect location next to coffee/ bakery with quick access to lake. A great spot to access local Kinsol Trestle/Cowichan Valley trail, Malahat skywalk, and kayak rentals.

Nice, peaceful lication

My husband and I stayed for the weekend to watch our son row for Brentwood at their annual Regatta. It was a very pleasant stay. Close to stores and walking trails. Our dog enjoyed himself too. Gay was very welcoming.

Garden suite

The access was slightly challenging due to the pouring rain, but what a lovely surprise when we got inside the suite. It is bright and has been beautifully renovated with amazing artwork. The kitchen was exceptionally well stocked and the bed was very comfortable. Highly recommend.

Great spot for a writing retreat

Everything I needed on a rainy weekend to stay in and work on a writing project. Very comfortable space and a kitchen with all supplies. Great coffee store and bakery right next door too.

Great place to stay!

This is a very sweet place with plenty of room. Bed was very comfortable. Kitchen had everything we needed. Fireplace, heat pump and separate heater kept the place warm. The snow was beautiful! The hosts were friendly, helpful and super attentive to whatever we needed. Lovely place for a getaway.

Great location

The wise place is a great place to stay great walking/running trails near by Shawnigan Lake grocery and great restaurants are all in walking distance. Inside the home was well layout and stocked with the basics. Our daughter was able to join us for a couple days and slept on the pull out couch and was amazed at how comfortable it was (the best she has had) master bed was very comfortable. Our dog loved the outdoor space completely fenced so she was able to run around freely. We will definitely stay at the Wise place again Thank you Gay and Megan for being great hosts
