We love the resort. This was our first time in the Jasmine tower. The view was perfect. The condo had some issues. They advertised a washer and dryer. Not sure that the washer works right, only squirted water on the load. Had 2 bath towels, 2 hand towels, 3 wash clothes in the load. Was still wet after 4 hours in the dryer. Normally wash our beach towels so was extremely disappointed. We tried washing a few things and hung them to dry. The pans were too rough to use, peeling non stick pans, which have been proven to contain cancer causing chemicals . Some of the dishes were chipped and some had dark lines (they were white) through the finish. We ended up buying plastic cups and paper plates. The 2 guest bathroom tubs held water, the front one had nasty looking stains due to that. The refrigerator showed a dispenser with filtered water but was lit up red. Did text the rental company but no response.

great place to stay and enjoy the property and surrounding businesses. The only complaint would be dealing with questions regarding the condo you rent no central place to get answers like a regular hotel front desk....

My complaints are not with the resort, but with the unit itself. I always read reviews on properties before I stay and if I see bad reviews, I don’t rent the property. When I read the reviews about this property, there was one really bad one. It said the master bed frame was broken and sloped drastically to one side. This really concerned me because I have a bad back. I called Luxury Beach Vacations several days before my arrival and confirmed that the issues mentioned in the review had been addressed. They assured me they had been taken care of. I decided to trust that they were telling me the truth. When we checked in, I immediately went and checked the master bedroom. Sure enough, it was broken and tilted to one side. I reached out to the rental company but being that it was a Sunday, I got an automated response. So, my husband and I had to sleep on that bed like that the first night we were there. It was absolutely AWFUL! I felt like I was in a torture chamber all night. In addition to the broken frame, the bed was extremely hard. In fact, all the beds were. I called again the next morning and they did send someone out to fix the bed. The bed was better, but still hard. The owner either needs to get new mattresses or at the very least, get some memory foam pads. I will NEVER stay at this place again.

Thank you for your review. We’re sorry the master bed frame was still broken after you were told it had been addressed, and that you had to sleep on it the first night. We understand how upsetting this was, especially given your back concerns. We also appreciate your feedback about the mattresses. We’ve shared these concerns with our team and the owner so they can be reviewed. Thank you for choosing Luxury Beach Rentals.

Can't actually review the unit. was supposed to check in at 4:00 PM, Picked up the keys at 3:45 PM and recieved text at 4:14 PM stating unit was not available due to mold. Should have been voice called. Do not rent units that are run out of Luxury Beach Rentals! Pretty much ruined our vacation!

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We sincerely apologize your check‑in was disrupted — once a mold issue was confirmed, safety required us to take the unit offline immediately and prevent access. We sent notification as soon as the situation was verified, and we regret that you received a text instead of a phone call; we agree a call would have been preferable and will review our notification procedures. We understand how much this affected your vacation and are sorry for the inconvenience. Please message us through Vrbo so we can review your reservation, any refund or compensation already issued, and work to make this right. Sincerely, Luxury Beach Rentals

Until this condo has some updating (fixing water damaged drywall, replacing broken bed frames and terrible mattresses, providing enough silverware and glassware for a meal for all the people the unit can sleep), you’d be hard pressed to say it fits with “luxury.”This was not great for the host experience and care of the condo. I would not book with this host service again. It’s impossible to know if the lack of attention to the condo is from owners refusing to make repairs and pay for replacements, from cleaning crews not communicating, or from a hosting service more focused on “heads in beds” than the quality of what they are offering. For example: - the dining room ceiling had obvious water damage and mold on it- one of the legs to the master bedroom bed had a broken wheel, so the whole thing sloped down and to a corner- there were 7 glasses, and 5-6-7 of forks, knives, wine glasses & coffee cups. If the condo was full with 10, not everyone could eat at once. - washer has the mildew build up that happens with front loading washers. It would not come off with soap it water and scrubbing, so either needs bleach or replacement. Super gross.- most of the light bulbs were out in the foyer making for poor visibility.- the CO & 1 smoke detector were stuffed in a closet without batteries - and not addressed despite us alerting the hosts! The resort has great amenities, excellent location on the beach and plenty of polite and pleasant staff.

Thank you for the detailed feedback. I’m sorry North Beach Resort 1513 did not meet your expectations. We’ve passed each item to our management, maintenance, and housekeeping teams to address immediately: the water-damaged ceiling and mold will be inspected and repaired, the master bed frame and mattress have been flagged for repair or replacement, and the kitchen inventory will be restocked so place settings match the unit’s full occupancy. Thank you for noting the resort amenities and staff. Please message us through Vrbo if any of these concerns remain unresolved so we can follow up directly.

early summer vacation

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The unit was comfortable and clean. Pools were great and the location was great as well. Pool area staff was not great at enforcing rules - picked and chose what rules they enforced. Also there seemed to be a lot of non-guests that were able to make it into the pool area which was annoying. We've stayed in rentals where there were pool toys and beach toys/chairs provided in the unit. That would have been nice for a family that flew in vs drove. Also the property was pretty stingy with items in the unit - limited soap/toilet paper/paper towels and nothing in the kitchen other than plates/pots/pans. Beach is gorgeous though. Check out was unpleasant with limited elevators shared by cleaning staff and one was not working.
Respuesta de VrboOwner el 31 de jul de 2025
Thank you for taking the time to leave such a thoughtful and detailed review. We're happy to hear that you found the unit clean and comfortable, enjoyed the pools, and loved the great location and beautiful beach. We also appreciate your feedback regarding the pool area staff and the presence of non-guests. While we do not manage the building’s common areas, we will certainly share your comments with the onsite management team, as guest security and comfort are important to everyone involved. Regarding the starter supplies in the unit—such as soap, toilet paper, and paper towels—we provide a basic welcome set to get guests started, and we include this information in the check-in materials so guests can plan accordingly. We’re sorry to hear that check-out was less than ideal due to the elevator situation. We understand how frustrating that can be and will pass this feedback along to building management as well. Thank you again for staying with us—we hope to welcome you back for an even better experience in the future!

Everything about our stay at this property and in this unit was excellent with the exception of a couple minor things, which could be resolved easily. These minor issues were mostly cosmetic flaws with the unit and didn't really affect our stay at all. The one item I'll mention specifically is that the TV in the living area is not a smart TV and there wasn't an HDMI cord to connect the Blu-Ray player. Not a big deal on those nice, sunny days when we were at the beach or pool, however, they were definitely missed on the one rainy day when we wanted to relax and watch a movie. Nonetheless, the things we loved about the unit far outweighed these trivial things. The HUGE patio is something we enjoyed every day and the full kitchen with laundry machines were definitely appreciated! Overall, we'd give it a 9/10 with a perfect score within reach if the issues noted were resolved.

Thank you for the 4-star review for North Beach Resort 1513. I’m glad the huge patio, full kitchen, and in-unit laundry made your stay enjoyable. I’m sorry about the cosmetic issues and that the living-room TV/HDMI setup fell short — that’s below our standard. I’ll share your feedback with housekeeping and maintenance so the cosmetic items are addressed and we can provide an HDMI cable (and evaluate a smart-TV upgrade). If you have any other details or suggestions, please send them via Vrbo messaging so we can follow up. We’d love to welcome you back.
