Love this place

We were back for a second year. This place is so amazing it makes you not want to leave. It has everything you need from kitchen appliances and gadgets to the veranda to just chill and have some coffee. The hosts are the best!!! They think of everything for you and very helpful with anything that is needed. We had a blast and can't wait to return.

Beautiful propery with stunning views. We loved staying here! It was fullly stocked with absolutely everything we could think of or need...and more. The entire process - from booking through check out - could not have been easier. Super responsiveness and communicative owners/contact. Best place ever. All was extremely clean and well-maintained. The furniture was plentiful and very comfortable. The extra large and beautiful step in shower with handheld shower head was much appreciated by us older folks who have a hard time safely stepping over bathtubs. For those with children, a bathtub was available also. Most well-stocked home we have ever visited by far. Everything you could ever think of was available. My brother has a cabin he rents out through an agency and he was extremely impressed with how well-stocked and clean this home is. Plenty of nice dog walking space. Gated driveway added to feeling of security. Beautiful view of river from veranda that had a great large hot tub, a lovely fire table and lots of comfy seating. We really enjoyed sitting up there in the evening and throughout the day. The dogs liked it too. There is even a hiking trail off the veranda that leads to an interesting rock formation. The boardwalk to the veranda was easy to access and traverse. The fire pit area had lots of stacked wood available and lots of seating. The home is very private, but is just a short drive from restaurants and stores. Best of all, the host, Matt, was super nice and responsive. I had some questions before we went and he got back to me right away with detailed answers. He checked in when we arrived to make sure all was well and working. We so appreciated knowing we could get in touch with someone promptly if there was a problem!Loved it so much!

This place was fantastic. The kitchen was the most well equipped kitchen I have ever stayed in through VRBO. Our kids absolutely loved the game room area and spent most of their evenings out there. The veranda had an amazing view as well. If we come back to Lake Cumberland, we will definitely look to stay here again.

Absolutely the best experience we have had in terms of renting a vacation home. The owners greatly exceeded our expectations. The property was just as described and had everything we needed. An oversized kitchen and family room with all the adminities. We had five children in our party and the game room was all they talked about when we were not on the lake. The veranda which housed the hot tub, gas firepit, lounge chairs, and ample dining space, not to mention the great view of the lake was the favorite of the adults. This will always be our first choice going forward.

This home was absolutely beautiful and STOCKED!!! I have never stayed in a vacation rental that was completely stocked with everything you would need and more. It feels welcoming, generous, and rare now a days. I’ve stayed in homes where the host leaves 1 extra roll of tp per bathroom. Exceptional Experiance!!

Our stay at the River-View was the best experiance we have had so far. This is a huge statement because I have vacationed on lake cumberland for many many years. We have done houseboats, hotels and other vacation homes but none compared to this!! The house is very clean, smells amazing and just is even better in person then the pictures. Everything is so beautiful!! The boardwalk from the house to the covered area is just amazing. Then the view over the river was the best view we have ever seen. I highly recommend this home. The owner had exceptional service and went above and beyond to make our stay seamless. We will definitely be returning!

Old friends get together

We were very impressed with the surrounding area, especially downtown. Very friendly people and great food. If you are interested in different types of bourbon, you are in the right place. Mill Springs Battlefield and Museum is a nearby and very interesting. The view was awesome. We spent many hours on the veranda. The game room came in handy since we had rain a few times.The house was very clean with many added amenities supplied by the host. The host and his wife were very helpful. The house had a lightning strike 2 days before our arrival and caused some electrical issues. They were on top of having repairs done so the issues did not bother us. Even more impressive, they interrupted their evening to help with car troubles. While packing the car the evening before our departure, we discovered the battery was dead. We called Matthew and asked for car service recommendations. Matthew and his wife promptly came out and jumped the car, then left the equipment to use in the morning. Above and beyond service.

Perfect Spring Getaway

Amazing time

I hate to over sell how great this place was because we look forward to returning in the future. But the house was a amazing. The kitchen had everything you needed and more. The hosts were the best. Very quick to respond and give advice. The kids loved the trains going by and would take off running every time you heard a train come. There's just so much great things at this location it's hard to say it all. We were very happy with the hosts they were the BEST!!!

Amazing!!

River Pointe was an amazing place to stay. It had all the comforts of home and more. The kids loved the game room, adults enjoyed the hot tub. Great view of the lake and peaceful! We are adding this to our list of faves.

Great weekend by the lake

Great home with great attention to detail, but we honestly spent most of our time and meals at the awesome remote porch overlooking the river. Would absolutely stay again and would recommend to anyone.

Wonderful Getaway

The property was absolutely beautiful! It was clear a lot of thought and care was put into every last detail of the home and the amenities provided. They had thought of absolutely everything! The owner was easy to get ahold of and checked in on us several times throughout our stay to ensure we had everything we needed. We had one issue which he resolved as quickly as he possibly could. We will definitely be back!

Great Place to stay!

The house was great. Weather was not great, however, we still enjoyed our stay. Many little touches that made it a great place to stay, convenient to everything and owner was very responsive to texts and even warned us of an incoming storm. The house had everything that we needed to make it comfortable and we will be back.

Amazing Host and Home

From start to finish Matt the host was amazing. On arrival we did not have power due to recent storms, but Matt made sure we had everything possible to try to get through the night. Thankfully the power did come back on before we went to bed! The house Is even better in person than the pictures. Anything you could think of that you might need is probably there!! Not only that, but everything is high end and you can tell they really take care of the place. The views from the “treehouse” were just gorgeous!! We came to watch and photograph trains and we had no shortage of trains and loved it!! We also explored nearby Cumberland Falls, Yahoo Falls and Natural Arch!! The area has so much to offer!! Without a doubt we will be guest at River Pointe again in the near future!!! If I could give 10 stars I would!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Perfect family getaway location

We traveled to Somerset during fall break with our 4 children ages 6-16 and this house was oerfect. Plenty of space for all of us, close to hiking trails during the daytime, and the evenings in the hot tub was a great way to end the day. Fantastic views of the river from the deck. My boys were fascinated with the trains going across the bridge. Accommodations were very clean, comfortable beds, and the game room was awesome. Highly recommend!

Wonderful Home with Gorgeous View

Myself and a handful of friends stayed here for a short getaway and had a stellar time. The property was amazing and the view from the outdoor living area was spectacular. We really enjoyed the game room and fire pit as well as the deck out on the river. Plenty of sleeping space, a well stocked kitchen, and plenty of towels. Oh and the TVs were huge! Would highly recommend staying here!!

Wonderful Spring Break stay!

We had a great time with friends at this property for our spring break. It was just the relaxing getaway we needed. We loved the outdoor area overlooking the water. The kids loved the game room and exploring in the woods. Natalie was an amazing host. She answered any questions, has thought of everything in the house and even added extra touches like candy and eggs for the kids. We would definitely come back and will recommend it to friends. .
