About the home
“Beachside Escape” is a delightful double-storey family home in Cowes just a short walk from the beach or comfortable walk/drive from the supermarkets, restaurants & cafés of Cowes. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below:
Indoor Areas
Downstairs is the Entry which leads to Bedrooms 2 and 3 (each with BIR), the main Bathroom (with bath, shower & toilet) plus the Laundry (with washing machine) that also provides access to the rear yard. Upstairs is the large open plan Kitchen/Dining/Living Room (with Android smart TV & portable Bluetooth Speaker) that flows out to the first floor Balcony. Also on this level is Bedroom 1 that has a WIR and ensuite (with shower & toilet). Please note pets are not allowed on the furniture/bedding at any time.
Outdoor Areas
The first floor Balcony (with 2 wicker lounges seating 4 people & a coffee table) overlooks the enclosed rear courtyard (with outdoor setting for 6 & sun umbrella). The partially covered deck (under the Balcony) has 2 x sun lounges, 2 x chairs and a gas BBQ. The Double Garage (with internal access into the home, plus direct access to the rear courtyard) has space for 2 cars, and room for another car in front of the Garage.
Kitchen
The fully appointed kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, Nespresso pod coffee machine, toaster, kettle, etc. plus a double sink, fridge, dishwasher, electric oven and cook top.
Heating/Cooling Systems
There are two wall mounted reverse cycle air conditioners; one in the upstairs Living/Kitchen/Dining room and the other in the Downstairs Entry, plus three additional stand-alone fans which can be used where required.
Bedding Configuration
This home has 3 beds, plus a fold-away bed, accommodating up to 7 guests:
Bedroom 1 (Upstairs): One Queen bed
Bedroom 2 (Downstairs): One Queen bed and one Single fold-away bed
Bedroom 3 (Downstairs): One Double bed
Linen
It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed (some sites add a service fee to these costs) - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.
Peak Periods
Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm unless by prior arrangement. Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.
Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies
Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies.
