Ptarmigan Hideout is a 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom condo—with a loft—that sleeps 11, located within Ptarmigan Village on Big Mountain in Whitefish. Enjoy access to community amenities such as indoor and outdoor pools, a hot tub, hiking trails, and a private beach on Whitefish Lake! Guests will love being a quick 15-minute drive from historic downtown Whitefish, with endless shopping and dining, as well as the condo’s wood-burning fireplace, open loft area, and outdoor entertainment space on the deck.

With on-site parking, it’s easy to spend the day at nearby Whitefish Mountain Resort, with 4,000 acres of world-class skiing, or visit Glacier National Park, only an hour away. Getting around Whitefish is free and easy via the S.N.O.W. Bus—a free shuttle service that takes visitors throughout Whitefish and up to Big Mountain during peak ski and Summer seasons.

Glacier Park International Airport is only about 20 minutes from Whitefish, Montana so getting here is easy!

Nice condo, only 2 miles to the ski hill. Right next to the pool and hot tub. Comfortably slept 10. Could use a good deep cleaning, and some new mattresses. Much more affordable than up on the mountain ski in and skin out. I would definitely stay again.

Great accommodation for a group

We had 3 families in the condo for a beautiful soccer weekend in Whitefish. We enjoyed the open air hot tub and the quiet, wooded location.

Family Trip

We loved the property on our family trip to Whitefish. Great location for ski hill access, and getting into town. The kids loved the pool ! Would definitely stay again.

Great location and close to Glacier National Park

We had 8 adults and it was a great fit. We also enjoyed the pool and spa facilities and the fishing pond near by. The private beach at the lake was a wonderful spot to float, swim and refresh ourselves.

Relaxing ski condo

My friends and I had a great stay at ptarmigan hideout. Well stocked, clean, stylish and comfortable, great location near Whitefish Mtn, and hot tub/pool/sauna. Couldn't ask for more.

Whitefish Stay

Loved the area! It’s very beautiful & peaceful. Hot tub is in a club house, which is 5 minutes walking. Cabin is part of a triplex.

Family vacation

This space had everything we needed, room for the whole family, quiet at night, indoor pool, hot tub and sauna, and fish pond nearby! Close to Glacier and many other hiking and fishing spots! Hosts responded very quickly to our questions. Thanks!

August visit to GNP

We stayed here to visit Glacier National Park. The unit was clean and comfortable. I will say the spiral staircase was a bit challenging for us with luggage as we are all in our 60’s and it is a tight spiral. We enjoyed the trip up the mountain to the unit as we saw deer along the way.

Pros - kitchen and bathrooms well stocked with everything we needed, lots of space for four people, close to indoor pool and hot tub, very nice deck, great communication and instructions from management, beautiful scenery tucked away in the mountains.Cons - older building with minimal upgrades to the interior, had to drive to get to outdoor pool and lake, no air conditioning and was very hot outside (basement bedrooms fine but main floor and upstairs were too hot), a bit of a musty smell in the basement, construction on the main road going up the mountain so had to wait 10 minutes in the car to come and go, outdoor pool very small and busy.Overall an average stay for the price.

Excellent rental!

Our family of 5 stayed in this rental which worked out great as we were there for a week. The home was stocked for daily cooking which saved from going out to eat. There were plenty of beds in the home to accommodate us! The indoor pool was a very brief walk which was great we did not have to drive. The home is located near Whitefish Mountain Resort and a short drive to West Glacier National Park. Thank you for making our week! :)

Great spot in Ptarmigan

I have stayed at a handful of spots in Ptarmigan village and really enjoyed the location of this unit. Overall we had a great stay and enjoyed the amenities of this spot—including the stocked firewood. The kitchen supplies were adequate, the bedding was comfortable, and enjoyed the fireplace in the winter. My only regret was not paying closer attention to the listing to realize that there is no dining table. The bar seating is adequate, but not quite the same. Overall we enjoyed this stay and would consider booking here again!

Great spot

Nice property - a bit smaller than anticipated, but it did definitely sleep 11! There was supposed to be access to a private beach at the lake, but we didn't get directions for that until the last day - too late to take advantage of it. Otherwise, it was all very nice! The manager responded quickly to a maintenance item that needed attention. The grill worked great, the TV reception was fine, the beds were good, the bathrooms clean, parking easy, and we loved the pool / sauna / hot tub!

Great family getaway

We loved our week at Ptarmigan Village! Perfect size for our two families. The kids loved the pool and hot tub! Quiet and safe area. Would definitely recommend!

Great place if you want to be close to the hill!

Super easy booking, very communicative and check in and check out seamless. The condo was very equipped with kitchen accessories. If your planning a summer or winter getaway I recommend you staying here!!!

Perfect!

My husband and I and our 4 kids shared this house with our friends and their 2 kids for the purpose of visiting Glacier National Park. There was plenty of sleeping space for all 10 of us. The kitchen was complete, we cooked breakfast and dinner every day. Our kids, especially, loved the pool and hot tub, both areas were extremely clean and nice. The house is only 20 min from downtown Whitefish, which was very fun to explore and 45 min from Glaciers west entrance. The only part that we were a little bit disappointed about was the private beach access. It was not easy to find in the first place and then it was much less beach than woods and water’s edge, lots of mosquitoes and not a beach that you could spend a relaxing day at.
