Rockaway Wonder is the perfect spot for all these vacation destinations! Just one house away from being oceanfront and across from the beach access, this home is a prime location. Set on a quiet stretch of land, you will enjoy quiet, privacy, and amazing ocean views from your upper-level deck and multiple areas of the home. The deck’s picnic table, barbecue, and fire-table invite you to extend your outdoor time and bask in the sun and ocean breezes.

Indoors, wood-plank vaulted ceilings in the second-floor great room open the space for gathering around the pellet stove, choosing from the assortment of games, watching TV, enjoying the sea view, and kicking back with your guests. A large dining table along the high cathedral-ceiling windows feels as open and sunny as eating outdoors. Cooking is a breeze in the fully equipped kitchen with extra seating; it adjoins a second sitting area with a cozy sofa. An upstairs loft with a beanbag chair will give kids their own hang-out spot for hours of endless fun. Three serene, updated bedrooms, one upstairs and two down give everyone plenty of private space.

Perched near open grassland and the beach, you’ll find yourself near the jetty for rock fishing or watching boats come in. You’re in easy reach of the delights of Manzanita and Cannon Beach, hiking on Neahkahnie Mountain, or the downtown fun of Seaside. Great beach access, not crowded, and beautiful driftwood all over! Very unique!My grandkids loved building forts with the wood. House was roomy enough for us 5 adults and 3 grandkids to gather in the main living space and sleep comfortably in our own beds.

If you want a house that is easy to walk to the beach and enjoy sunsets from the deck this is your place. If you want to use the fire pit on the deck I would suggest you be sure it is working before reserving as it was not working and did not get fixed during our stay even though we ask if it could be. Otherwise, everything was great.

None of the electrical outlets work in either bathroom. There was no shampoo or wash clothes in the bathroom like it states. It also shows a coffee pod machine and there is only a 5-cup little coffee pot. As for the cleanliness there was crackers all inside of the futon. In one of the bedrooms there was old tinfoil & socks alongside the dresser, so you know it hadn't been cleaned properly. Also, the fire pit didn't work and that was a big disappointment.

I appreciate you calling out the issues with the bathroom outlets, missing toiletries and washcloths, the smaller coffee maker than shown, the cleanliness problems you found, and the nonworking fire pit. I’ve shared these concerns with our maintenance and housekeeping teams so the outlets and fire pit can be inspected and repaired, the unit will be deep cleaned and restocked, and the listing will be reviewed to ensure the appliances are described accurately. Had to spend a lot of time messaging the host explaining that the picture didn’t match what was in the room. They didn’t actually read my message and replied that everything is correct. After multiple messages and a lot of my time just to get them to understand. They finally relied with “This happens sometimes”. With no attempts to make it better

We will absolutely update the listing photos and be sure to clarify that the machine in the home now is a standard 12-cup coffee maker. We do state in our guest contract that amenity availability is subject to change because sometimes small appliances like these do go down and need replaced. But I really am sincerely sorry this affected your stay and will make sure that we fix this for future guests.

Meredith Lodging was great company to work with. Any questions were responded to promptly. Found them warm, friendly and professional. The house location was perfect. Even had visitor's 2nd night, a mama dear and her baby came to say hello.House was clean and furnished with everything we could ask for.Rockaway was a great low-key location to explore and enjoy time with our Fur-Baby puppy. We watched Surfers at Oswald State Park/Short Sand Beach. Which had great trails to hike. At Nedonna Beach next to the house we watched Seals fishing down by the Jetty.Thank you for a wonderful experience and we will definitely look to book future stays with this great company.

It was a quick, short stay for us this time, but we enjoyed every minute of it! The house fit our needs nicely for our extended family. Beds for everyone, which were very comfortable, and we utilized the kitchen to make a few meals together. The youngest of our bunch, a 5 year old, had a blast going up & down the stairs to the loft. Hopefully next time we will get to stay longer. Thank you!

Amazing short visit

Great location amazing if you have a boat and need a place to park safely well lit secure, clean comfortable. The only suggestion I would make is to add a hot tub.

We started out by having directions to access the property that did not properly explain how to use the electronic lock. It not only did not have the full code but it was hard to get it to clear. There was a second regular lock box that did not work and a backup lock box on the back door. None of the codes customer service provided worked. Someone from maintenance came right away and helped.Then the bathroom was dirty; I sent a picture of what I saw via text. Toilet paper was wadded up between the toilet and shower, gross! The downstairs showerhead was not properly installed and fell on my sister and almost fell again on me. The upstairs bathroom faucet in the shower was tight and hard to turn. We had a second maintenance person (very nice) come and fix the showerhead downstairs and make the one upstairs a bit easier to turn. He also fixed the outlet in the downstairs bathroom, which was also not working... The outside fireplace did not work; we were warned about this, but again it was part of why we rented this house. It might say steps from the beach, but keep in mind it's a lot of steps and not for someone who does not walk well (our friend who was also a guest), so she was never able to access the beach by the house. We are requesting some kind of partial refund given the circumstances of our visit. For the price it's a decent house and on a very quiet street which was nice.

I’m very sorry about the check-in difficulties and that the lock codes and boxes caused so much trouble; that shouldn’t happen. We will update and simplify the arrival instructions, retest every entry system, and replace any unreliable lock boxes. Thank you for sending the photo of the cleanliness issue — that is unacceptable. I’ve reviewed this with our cleaning team, and we’re tightening the turnover checklist and adding an extra inspection before arrivals. I apologize for the loose shower head and stiff faucet. Maintenance will perform a full inspection of all plumbing fixtures and secure or replace anything that could fail. I hope the refund you received helps convey our apologies for the issues you encountered and that you know we are working hard to remedy each of them.

Beautiful house in a great location. Had some communication issue when it came to checking in early (for a 50 fee). Propane was empty on arrival but host was able to replace the following day.Over all had a great time and would stay again. Awesome house perfect for a big family

Good friends enjoying placement of house and spending time with one another. Actual house was not as nice as pictured on computer. Weather was bad and a vent fell onto a bed dousing the sleeper. Wouldn't rent it again.

Overall, the stay was good. The house comfortably housed our party of 8, and the location was convenient to walk to the beach. Unfortunately, our check-in was delayed by an hour and a half (originally 4:00, changed to 5:30), “due to unforeseen circumstances” and was disclosed by the property management company less than 2 before our check in time. This did cause some problems for members of the party who arrived on time and/or were out of cell service at the time of the message. It was also unfortunate that the check in time was already later in the afternoon, but a 5:30 check in really made it feel like we didn’t get our money’s worth for the first night of our stay. Besides that, we were thankful the property management company complied with our request for a late check out (11am vs 10 am) as there was an issue with a screw in the tire of one of the vehicles.

Disappointing vacay rental

Had to contact host for check in info and was told it was sent, i did not have an email or text I could find with any info. They finally sent it through a text. First day no instructions on stove, laundry, stair lift or check out instructions left in rental. We tried to use the fire table, but no propane. The table had broken parts and burnt decking that it sat on, which we also reported. The said they would send a replacement rank the next day. Ok, great, we would grill the next day. Second day, went to beach, then to town and when we came back old tank still on deck. No note, call or text so i guess we aren't grilling. Third day, packing up and my daughter noticed new tank under BBQ grill cover. Overall its a nice clean place until we go to bed, look up and see cobwebs hanging from the ceiling and light fixtures, and not just a few. Also multiple dead flies in the light fixtures. I will not rent this property again or recommend it.
