Hello and Welcome to The Riverside Retreat!

NO Large Parties and NO Bonfires. NO Marijuana Smoking!!

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway with the Ohio River in your backyard. Enjoy the views on the amazing back deck. This home has been recently updated with new flooring, shower, kitchen, bedrooms and lighting and will be a great retreat the duration of your visit. Book your weekend getaway here and enjoy the scenery.

This is a Non Smoking Home. No Smoke or Vaping Inside the Home!

This coastal themed cottage has been remodeled with sustainability in mind. You will immediately be awed by the fantastic vistas overlooking the Ohio River. Pictures don't do it justice. Visit your home away from home to take a break from city life. We added a Peloton bike as well, just in case you would like to take a class (membership not required)

Beautiful location with a great view over the river. It was a perfect home base for our weekend on the bourbon trail. This was our second time at this property, and we're likely to be back for a third time.

Perfect retreat following hectic days!

Came to town for my youngest daughter's wedding festivities. Trying all day to make sure everything is as perfect as possible for the young bride to be was a tall order to fill - having the peace and tranquility of this space to retreat to each evening was exactly what I needed to recharge and be ready for the next day.Great host. Will visit again.

A Flood Nightmare

This property was flooded before our arrival. The owner stated the water had come up over the property's roof. He did not inform us until our arrival.He did not give us an option to decide to cancel our reservation instead he tried to"fix" it before our arrival and expected us to stay when it was not ready at all. He also became irritated when we expected to arrive at the time listed at 4:00 because he wasn't even done getting it ready. We could see that he had tried hard but there was still a moving pod in the front yard along with numerous trash around the outside of the house that had not been hauled away. We did try to stay because we saw he had put in an effort of trying to make it nice but it was like living in a damp basement. It had an awful smell and it felt very unclean. Water began to seep up into the floor and we could not go barefoot because we felt like we would be stepping in water. We were afraid there may be black mold growing in areas that we could not see. To top it all off there was no hot water. We contacted him about this as soon as we found out but he did not reply to us. By this time it was late on the first evening so we stayed. In the morning we had to scramble to find somewhere else. We expected to get a full refund since this really ruined a family get together with my sisters and started our weekend off terribly. Although he refunded some of our money, we never received a full refund which is very disappointing. This was a terrible experience.

Absolutely no disappointments

The property was amazing. Being on the river we were able to relax and enjoy the water. Daniel was more then accomodating. I definitely recommend and will be visiiting again.

Serene River House

The space is thoughtfully outfitted with all essentials and has comfortable furnishings. My dog and I enjoyed exploring the neighborhood and embracing the quiet season. Our host, Daniel, was attentive and responsive to all requests. We will definitely be back!

Fall stay

The location is amazing and Dan was so easy to work with. The house was clean and had what we needed. Some of the dishes were dirty and the grill could use a cleaning of the grates. Otherwise we really enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

Getaway

Enjoyed our stay. The view is beautiful. Neighborhood is quiet. The listing says 3 bedrooms but there is only 2. They have a pull out couch in the family room so i guess they consider that a "bedroom". Overall we would stay again. Property manager was awesome.

Not what we expected.

Deck was in poor repair; roof of deck slams in the wind to the point of concern for safety; hole in bathroom wall; kitchen counters not grouted and can see crumbs from previous guests; and although they have 2 large tvs, they are unusable unless you have your own streaming subscriptions. We felt that should have been disclosed in description. Booked for 3 nights. Only stayed 1 night and was offered zero refund.

Perfect getaway!

Our stay was great! The house is right on the river and tucked away from the main road but only 10 mins away! Daniel was a great host. Great communicator, and had any type of amenity you possible could need. Very well prepared than any other host I’ve experienced. Wasn’t able to get the kayaks out due to the water level on the river but will definitely be booking again!

Simple is better

We loved this place. Outstanding river view just out the back door. Great seating to watch it. House is on smaller side but still plenty of room. Bed slept great. Did I mention the river view. It has a really nice shower and 2 nice bedrooms. Kitchen is efficient and tv room is full of windows looking at the river. We will be back for another stay.

Great little place!

Cute little house with a fantastic outdoor space to enjoy the view. We utilized the kayaks and some of the games left for guest use. Kitchen is tiny, but has everything you need for a short stay. Owner was very flexible to deal with and responded quickly when messaged. Thank you!

My husband birthday!

We had a lot of fun! We all have very busy lives that never stop so we like to make it stop and take the time to enjoy it for a few day with some peace and quiet and some relaxation! It was very quiet and enjoyable!

Peaceful and relaxing

All was perfect. Easy to find yet away from the busy life. Very relaxing and enjoyable. Owner made the stay comfortable and easy. Even caught a few fish from the dock. Very pleased with the accommodations.

Great Time

The house was as described. Excellent view of the river with a nice patio. There are lots of items for you to use (kayaks, life jackets, Tube for floating on the river, board games, books, Bluetooth speakers etc.). We drove about 20-30 mins for excellent restaurants in the city. Would stay here again.

Peaceful Proximity

We loved how close everything was to Louisville (can get to different parts of Louisville in under 10 minutes), yet be completely in the country with a beautiful backyard and pergola overlooking the Ohio River. Ended every day out there with beautiful sunsets. Would 100% come back here the next time in area!
