About this property

Glasshouse Lake Eildon Architectural Retreat

Welcome to The Glasshouse – Taylor Bay Retreat, a secluded waterfront escape where striking architecture and nature exist in perfect harmony on the shores of Lake Eildon.

Surrounded by native bushland and overlooking the tranquil waters of Taylor Bay, this architecturally designed retreat invites you to unwind, slow down, and settle into true lakeside living. In winter, the home transforms into the ultimate cosy escape — think misty lake mornings, crackling fireplaces, steaming outdoor spa sessions, and evenings gathered around the fire pit under the stars. In summer, floor-to-ceiling windows open the home to cooling lake breezes, while days are spent boating, swimming, fishing, and gathering with family and friends across the expansive indoor and outdoor living spaces.

Designed to comfortably accommodate up to 12 guests, the home features spacious open-plan living, soaring timber-lined ceilings, and breathtaking floor-to-ceiling windows that frame the lake from almost every angle.

Highlights include:
Outdoor hot tub overlooking the lake
Stunning stone fireplace and multiple cosy living areas
Fire pit with lake views
Gas BBQ and woodfire BBQ
Private jetty with direct lake access
Plenty of parking for cars and boats
Fully equipped chef’s kitchen
Expansive indoor/outdoor entertaining spaces
Large balconies immersed in nature
Beautiful waterfront setting surrounded by national parkland

Wake slowly with a coffee overlooking the water, spend your afternoons exploring the lake, fishing, boating or bushwalking, then return home to warm fires, soft blankets, and peaceful evenings surrounded by nature.

Whether you're soaking in the spa as fog rolls across the lake, gathering around the dining table with family and friends, or simply enjoying the stillness of the surrounding bushland, The Glasshouse offers a stay that feels both luxurious and deeply relaxing.

Peaceful Getaway with Stunning Views – Glasshouse on the Lake

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Glasshouse on the Lake was the perfect getaway — spacious, stylish, and set in a truly beautiful location. We especially loved the open layout, which gave us plenty of room to relax and enjoy our time together. The floor-to-ceiling windows offered breathtaking lake views from nearly every spot in the house. One of the highlights was definitely the jacuzzi — a real treat after a day of exploring or just to soak under the stars. Whether we were lounging indoors, enjoying the peaceful outdoor setting, or taking in the views from the hot tub, everything about this place felt relaxing and special.A super spot we thoroughly enjoyed and would love to return to!

Conflicted….

I really want to give 5 stars for this place- but unfortunately…,,,,The location and the house is stunning! But the let downs was the cleanliness. The spa was disgusting and had broken glass by the gate. Nearly every piece of cutlery, tray, plate and cup was dirty. No hand soap or dishwashing liquid. The first night no hot water. The fire pit is on a side of a hill- no chance for confit- and the house is 12 people- 3 double rooms 1 room with 4 bunks and a downstairs with 2 sofa beds. But no one can sleep downstairs as no curtains at all!For a property over 1k per night it was a little disappointing- but as mentioned the views were awesome!
