Whether your seeking some fun in the sun or skiing the peaks, this lovely cottage has what you need for a relaxing getaway!

Just a "stones throw" from Silver Lake you will find this welcoming cottage with 4 bedrooms, 2 baths and sleeping for up to 10 people. The main living area is complete with large living room with wrap around sofa (also pullout bed), flat screen TV and array of board games, dining area with ample seating and kitchen with all the basic cooking essentials and a dishwasher. Off the main living area are the first 2 bedrooms, each with a queen bed and a shared full bathroom off the hallway (not a "Jack and Jill" style bath). *Please note, the fireplace in the living room is NOT available for guest use.*

The lower level is where you will find 2 more bedrooms, family room and full bath. The family room includes comfortable seating, flat screen TV and a gas fireplace for some added ambiance and heat. The third bedroom sleeps 2 people with a double/full size bed and the forth bedroom sleeps an additional 2 people on twin size bunk bed. The lower level also shares a full bath with shower.

Off the main living area is a sunny deck with gas grill and small table with two chairs, making this a perfect place to sip your morning coffee or enjoy a quiet evening under the stars. You may also enjoy dining al fresco in the yard at the wooden picnic table.

In addition to these great outdoor amenities, the house is only 300 feet from a beautiful sandy beach on pristine Silver Lake. The home owners have graciously provided 2 junior sit on top kayaks and 2 single kayaks for guests to explore the lake.

AMENITIES INCLUDE: Linens, towels, air conditioning, cable TV, internet, Smart TV, board games, dishwasher, washing machine, clothes dryer, outdoor gas grill, 2 youth kayaks, 2 single kayaks, hammock, beach chairs, cooler and picnic table.

This property does not have a boat mooring. If you wish to launch your motorized boat, you will need to use the Silver Lake boat launch. A non-resident permit is required to use the boat launch. This can be purchased through the Madison Town Hall. For more information, please visit

AVAILABILITY: 2 night minimum stay through the spring, fall and winter (minimum night requirement may vary for holidays). Summer minimum 7 night stay Saturday - Saturday.

Clean and great location

2 families (10 people) enjoyed the clean home and a short walk to the lake. Great for kids as they occupied the downstairs with a living room, bedrooms and their own bath. House was extremely clean, the outdoors needed a mow but we spent most of our time at the lake. Wonderful neighbors as well. Kids loved the use of the kayaks.

Lake is great, house just ok

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Cool lake spot but felt it wasn't worth the money we paid for it. Didn't love that the property was managed by a third party and not direct to owner, communication felt clunky. Wouldn't recommend or return

Nice place.

Very much enjoyed the property, plenty of room and everything was wonderful. My only issues were the following: Having to drive all the way to Conway for check in was not fun after already driving 2 1/2 hours wasn't fun. Paying an exorbitant cleaning fee, then having to drive to the dump & pay for trash disposal is off-putting as well.

Wonderful time on the lake

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location is amazing, 300 feet from a private (shared with just the residents of the cul de sac), sandy beach. There are 4 kayaks and life vests of all sizes, and even fishing rods. The house is older and could use some cob web cleaning, but overall was clean and very comfortable. Kitchen has everything you may need. The location is quite central. 2 hours from Boston. 25-30 min to Lake Winnepesake. 30 min to Dianna’s baths. 1.5 hrs to Portland, ME. We had a wonderful time!

Regret: we only booked 3 nights. 4 would have been the sweet spot. Definitely check out the Ossipee Pine Barrens and the Monolithic Boulder, two very local but quite unique places. The lake is clean, the little beach as advertised, the shed is filled with water toys: beach chairs, noodles, fishing rods, a big inflatable raft. Heaven for young kids. This is a GREAT family rental.The house was clean, comfortable and spacious as described. There were some discrepancies between the rules and procedures as stated in the Vrbo listing vs. the documents we signed through Select Real Estate (trash disposal, linens) so just go with the Vrbo listing. I didn't like the sheets (stuffy synthetic, some stains on a pillowcase with no extra cases) but this is a cottage after all, not a hotel suite. The home had more of a vibe than I am used to that the family who owns the place had just vacated so we could stay. The house was fully stocked except for dish towels and small towels. Plenty of beach and bath towels.

Unbelievable getaway-magical

We had the most beautiful getaway this past weekend before Christmas and like I stated, it was magical! The mountains and the lake being frozen over. The scenery covered in a beautiful whi5e blanket of snow was something out of a movie or a dream, the best white Christmas we have ever had! The house was very comfortable and welcoming, very spacious for everyone and just better than what we had expected. Less than a block away from a private beach and silver lake. Fire place to keep you warm at night, foosball table in the bottom floor. Not easy to describe in words how great this place was. It was just a great trip, and our host Cindy, always responded right away to any questions we had, gave us a few pointers of fun things to do around and was very accommodating, will definitely recommend and book again.

Family wedding

Traveled for a family wedding where fun was had by all. The house was great and met all our needs, location was great and we couldn’t have asked for better weather. Only downfall was deck furniture was covered with bird poop and was unusable, could use a good cleaning. Thank you for providing our family with a great weekend location!

Great Stay, Super Cozy

We loved this house! It's well laid out for two families. It can easily be adults upstairs and kids downstairs, so everyone is happy. The house is fully stocked and very comfortable. I would highly recommend this house to anyone wanting a weekend away in the MWV.

Great stay!

We stayed at this property in Mid February for the Great Meredith Rotary Ice Fishing Derby. We were a party of 10 and we're comfortable in the house. The property is in very close proximity to Silver Lake and about 25-30 mins from N. Conway. The property is well maintained and very clean. I would stay here again and recommend!

Great Family Weekend!

We stayed at this property last weekend to celebrate Family Christmas. Twelve of us converged in Madison on Friday night and stayed until Sunday. We arrived in incredibly thick fog and rain on Friday, but nothing could dampen our spirits. The sun shone bright on Saturday so we explored Madison and made a trip into North Conway. On Sunday all of the kids went skiing at Mt. Cranmore. We found the house to be a perfect fit for all of us. It is clear that this is a great destination for summer fun, but don’t rule it out for a winter getaway.

Very clean and welcoming

This place was a blast! Everyone enjoyed the stay and would recommend it to anyone. The fire pit was a hit because it got chilly both nights. The lake view was beautiful in the morning and the water wasn’t that bad. Good idea with the fooseball table downstairs!!! Cindy was very easy to get ahold of always responded back quickly. Overall the guys had a great time.

Wonderful family vacation

We stayed here with our baby, my brother and his family, and our parents. It was such a great family vacation. The house had everything, an abundance of towels and sheets. It really was a two minute walk to the lake, and the house had boats and life jackets that we used. The kids had the best time, and so did the adults. Highly recommend!

The Best

My family and I typically go someplace different every year. We require that it be on or close to a lake so we can swim, boat (kayak or canoe) and fish. The home needs to be clean, have enough room for all of us (I have five kids and my parents follow us everywhere) and 2 baths is always a plus. This home has all of this. It is very very clean, has 4 beds and 2 baths. They supply a canoe, 2 adult kayaks and 2 kids kayaks. The gas grill is brand new. There are nice new flat screen TV's on each level. These owners take exceptional care of their property and provide everything you need to have an enjoyable vacation. Thanks to this past week we no longer have to look for a new place to go every year. This place was The Best we will surely be back.

Great Family retreat

This house was very clean and comfortable. The beach was steps away and great for the kids. The house was fully equipped, we didn't have to worry about much! We were sad to leave.

Great Family Week at the Lake

Our family loved our week at the lake! Cindy was easy to work with and answered all of our questions. We enjoyed being so close to the beach and the kids pretty much swam all day every day. We took one day for Storyland - which was great. This house has everything you need and tons of space. We are looking forward to renting here again.

Beautiful house right by the lake

We had a fantastic weekend in this house! The pictures really don't do it justice, it is HUGE on the inside. Two full living rooms (upstairs and down) tons of beds, a full kitchen, a cute deck, everything you need really. And it's literally steps away from Silver Lake. We were there in February and it was very quiet, we saw no one except some snowmobilers on the lake. All in all a great spot and a great place, highly recommended!!
