Welcome to our unique converted school bus on our beautiful property located in Little River.

Perfect for up to two adults our special bus is a cosy and comfortable space that has been creatively repurposed into a charming accommodation for your getaway. Nestled in the middle of a paddock where you can drive right up to the door, you will be surrounded by trees, providing the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Located in the small township of Little River just 6kms from Avalon Airport & 25kms to Geelong.

Nestled in the heart of nature, this unique and quirky accommodation is the perfect retreat for adventurous souls seeking a memorable experience. With a capacity to sleep two people, our bus offers a comfortable space that combines the nostalgia of a school bus with the comforts of a well-designed tiny home.

Step inside this thoughtfully transformed school bus, and you'll discover a private haven designed for comfort and simplicity. It is not camping but it is not 5 star accommodation, it is a unique experience set amoungst the trees. Large windows allow natural light to flood the space, creating a bright and inviting atmosphere that seamlessly connects you to the picturesque surroundings. Please note there are no blinds installed because you are surrounded by trees, but feel free to bring an eye mask if you want to have a sleep in.

Bussie McBusFace features a well-equipped kitchenette, where you can whip up delicious meals using locally sourced ingredients. You are welcome to use the portable electric cooktop, air fryer, microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge/freezer, Nespresso machine and washing machine/dryer. We supply crockery, cutlery, glasses, basic cooking items and coffee, tea, sugar, milk & a cocktail shaker, plus there is a small dishwasher as well.

The dining area or breakfast bar is strategically placed near the windows, provides the perfect spot to savor your culinary creations while enjoying the serene views of the paddock and surrounding trees.

The living area is a multifunctional space that transforms effortlessly for relaxing in the somfortable tub chairs in front of the Smart TV if you have had enough of the outside., the TV will require you to log into your favorite shows, there is no TV aerial installed. The clever design maximizes every inch of space, ensuring that Bussie McBusFace feels spacious and functional.

There is a functional bathroom with hot water, a shower, basin as well as a Nature's Head composting toilet.

The bedroom is set at the end of the bus and it comes with a super comfortable queen size mattress with pillows, fluffy doona, quality linen & a hanging rack for your clothes. We also provide a flat sheet, extra blankets, towels, two plush bathrobes, hair dryer and laundry basket.

Although there is no air conditioning there are portable fans provided as well as a portable heater for those chilly nights.

Venture outside, and you'll find a private outdoor seating area with an abundance of fairy lights, allowing you to bask in the tranquility of the paddock. There is a Weber Baby Q gas BBQ with a saucepan & lid, cast iron breakfast plate plus a pizza stone for your outdoor cooking needs. There is also a firepit (subject to council restrictions) & chairs for you to sit and relax under the stars. We have also provided a cable drum table with umbrella & 2 stools for dining. Whether you're sipping your morning coffee or stargazing under the vast night sky, this outdoor space provides a perfect extension of the tiny house experience. You can relax in the hammocks or maybe play one of the games we have supplied such as boules, quoits or battle bots. If you feel like heading out to explore you are welcome to use our picnic basket & rug, there are beautiful areas to visit such as the You Yangs in Little River or Serendip Sanctuary in Lara.

Surrounded by trees and nature, Bussie McBusFace offers a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The quiet paddock setting allows you to reconnect with nature, unwind, and experience the beauty of Little River in its purest form. The resident ponies Soda & Bob might even venture over for a visit but be careful the white wires are electic so can give a zap if touched.

Please be careful when using the power and don't use everything turned on at once or it may trip the power. This experience is also for adults only, children are not suitable for this accommodation. There is Starlink internet provided for your use.

Escape to Bussie McBusFace for a unique and unforgettable getaway – a tiny house that not only provides shelter but also creates lasting memories in the heart of Victoria's serene landscape.

We have set aside an area in the middle of a paddock for your use. You will enter from the driveway and make your way about 30 metres to the clearing when you will find the bus.

There are fairy lights in the trees and across the driveway to the bus, so if your car is over 2.2 metres high please leave the car close to the driveway rather than driving down to the bus.

All communication is done through the platform and we are quick to respond to messages

Little River is a small town that is approximately 44 kilometres south-west of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the Cities of Greater Geelong area.

The township has a petrol station and post office, a primary school, a kindergarten, a pub, a bed and breakfast, a park, two playgrounds, a train station, a cricket ground and several churches. Visitors from Melbourne pass through the town on the way to the You Yangs Regional Park and the Mount Rothwell Biodiversity Interpretation Centre.

Australian rock band Little River Band is named after Little River after seeing the name on a road sign on their way to a gig in Geelong. Little River also featured in the movie Mad Max, with Little River Road being used as the movie's infamous "Highway 9".

The closest Shops, restaurants, take away food and Supermarkets in Lara, only an 11km drive from the accommodation.

The Little River train station is 4kms from the property and it travels to either Melbourne or Geelong.

Avalon airport is only an 8km drive from the property and being a smaller airport it is easy to get around and find a park as well.

Over the fence there are two horses called Soda and Bob, they are very curious and they might even come over and say hi, just watch Bob because he might give you a little love bite, but then again he may not! Please be aware all white fencing is electric so do not touch it and please stay within your allocated area only. Although we love our animals this property is strictly pet free so please don't bring your furry friends with you!
- We have set our check in and check out times to allow us to clean and prepare the accommodation for the next guests. We are unsure if the accommodation will be available for a change to these times until the day of the stay because it depends what time the cleaner can have it completed. If the property is ready early we will provide you with the code earlier than the scheduled check in time.

- Our tiny home caters for a maximum of 2 guests (no children) and due to the smaller nature of home and being on a private farm only the guests mentioned in the booking are allowed to stay and visit. No friends, events or parties allowed.

- No pets are allowed due to other animals on the farm.

- Due to the nature of the accommodation no children are allowed.

- There is strictly no smoking allowed in the bus, if you do smoke a $500 fee will be charged. All smoking is outside and cigarette butts to be disposed of correctly.

- The property comes with a Nature's Head composting toilet and there are instructions on the wall next to the toilet to explain how it works. Please ensure you do not overfill the waste and empty it if required.

- There is a firepit for use when fire restrictions are not in force. We provide a starter pack of firelighters, matches, some kindling and a few pieces of firewood to get you going but you will need to provide any extra firewood for your requirements. Please do not throw glass or cans in the fire it is for firewood only.

- We provide a Weber Q BBQ for your use however you are required to clean it prior to check out, if you do not then an additiional cleaning fee will be charged so it is ready for the next guest to use

- We charge a minimal cleaning fee of $50 and this includes up to one hours work and linen/towel change over. If check out instructions are not followed and additional time is required we will charge this at $50 per hour. Examples of extra services would be: dishes not washed and put away, BBQ left dirty, toilet instructions not followed requiring us to fully clean the system and set up the composting system again and glass or cans thrown into the fire requiring a complete clean out. Most of our guests love their experience and respect our space however there have been circumstances where our instructions are not followed requiring additional time, resources and money to prepare for the next guests.
