The Space:
This two-story home features a spacious, modern design and boasts a stunning infinity pool that overlooks the ocean and the rolling mountains of Costa Rica’s Pacific Coast.

This inviting villa features a spacious open floor plan on the first level. The living room is furnished with plush linen couches, a flat-screen TV, and contemporary artwork, featuring a blue accent wall and blue throw pillows that add a pop of color to the room’s neutral palette. The dining table overlooks the living room and accommodates up to eight people. The table sits next to a sliding glass door that opens onto the pool deck and provides breathtaking views of the ocean.

The kitchen is located just around the corner from the living and dining space. It features a sleek design, complete with stone countertops, a breakfast bar, industrial-chic accent lights, and high-end stainless steel appliances, including an oven, an induction cooktop, a microwave, a refrigerator and freezer, and a farmhouse sink. The kitchen also features a sliding glass door that opens onto the pool deck, which offers panoramic ocean views while you cook.

This villa has four bedrooms that can comfortably sleep a total of nine guests. There are two bedrooms downstairs and two bedrooms upstairs.

The master bedroom, located downstairs, features a king-sized bed, a TV, a built-in workspace, and a sliding glass door with a stunning view of the ocean. The room is decorated in a modern style with chic coastal touches, creating a laid-back beach vibe. The master bedroom has private access to a sleek ensuite bathroom with a walk-in shower and a double-sink vanity. The second downstairs bedroom has a queen-sized bed and access to a half bathroom.

The two upstairs bedrooms feature plush king-sized beds and sliding glass doors that lead out to the shaded balcony with panoramic ocean views, furnished with hammocks and lounge chairs. Each upstairs bedroom has its own ensuite bathroom with a walk-in shower and single-sink vanity, and one of the bedrooms has a daybed that can be used for relaxing or to sleep an additional guest.

Villa Marfil boasts a resort-style pool deck, perfect for entertaining. The infinity pool overlooks the Pacific Ocean and is accompanied by several pool lounge chairs. The kitchen opens to a covered patio that features a high-end wooden table that can seat eight and a BBQ grill.

Pet-friendly policy

We welcome your furry friends at our property! Before you book, each pet must be verified and approved based on breed and size (max 35 lbs.), accompanied by a recent photo. A refundable pet fee of $200 per stay, along with an additional cleaning fee of $50 + 13% per pet, is required to ensure our home remains pristine for all guests. We allow up to two pets per reservation. Pets must be kept on a leash at all times in public areas within the property grounds. Certain properties and complexes may have specific rules and registration requirements. Pets need to be verified at least 24 hours prior to check-in. If guests arrive at check-in with unverified pets, access to the property will be denied.

The Neighborhood:
Playa Potrero
Offering easy access to three beaches (Potrero, Penca and Prieta), this town combines upscale lodging options with the charm of a traditional Costa Rican town (think central plaza with church, school and soccer field).
There are plenty of restaurants, shops and other conveniences, and the downtown area has two mini supers (convenience stores), as well as a commercial plaza with a coffee shop, a hairdresser and other businesses.
Some of the liveliest nightlife in the region can be found at Las Brisas Bar, right on the beach, though it’s normally hopping only on Wednesdays (Ladies’ Night).
Potrero has several nice housing developments with “Villagio” in the name, popular among Italians and other expats. You can find Italian gelato shops, Costa Rican sodas (small, affordable restaurants) and hotels in a range of prices (Pitaya Lodge, Bahía La Esmeralda, Hotel Isolina, Bahía del Sol).
Just to the south of Potrero lie all the attractions of Surfside, and to the north is a beautiful, hilly drive along the ocean, ending at the Mediterranean-style village of Las Catalinas. Potrero is within easy striking distance of several beaches, and it’s a great base to explore the entire region — for a sampler of both the high-end and the humble.
