With all ladies 82 years old the 2 of the ladies were looking for a grab bar to enter and exit walk-in shower. I am sure you rent to mostly younger people but maybe that is a suggestion to be considered. Again thank you for a lovely vacation at a very comfortable cottage.

The property is GORGEOUS! A boat is needed, there isn’t much of a beach but the home itself is gorgeous.

The whole cottage was very clean, well maintained, and comfortable. Water drainage was good and the kitchen utensils were well stocked. The place looked exactly like the images posted. We came to this cottage for a Christmas getaway and got heavily snowed in on Boxing Day, and Sarah and John offered to come with a snow blower to get us out. It was a perfect, cozy, and warm getaway for the winter. The lake nearby was also very close and pretty in the winter. We’d definitely recommend! We’d love to come back and experience the cottage in the summer as well!

Absolutely Perfect.

We ended up spending more at The Little Red Cottage than expected simply because it was such a lovely spot. The large front porch and back deck were perfect for lounging and conversation. The inside was immaculate and well stocked. I loved that the kitchen knifes were actually sharp, there was extra toilet paper provided, there were lots of towels (beach towels and bath towels) and the mattresses were new and comfortable - no big valley in the middle! I highly, highly recommend this spot. And Fenelon Falls is adorable with good restaurants.

About the host

Hosted by Sarah Parker

Host profile image
Hi! We're you're hosts, Sarah and John. We love spending time in Fenelon and learning about the area of The Kawartha Lakes. It is our pleasure to share those unique places and experiences with our guests to ensure you have a fun and memorable stay. Welcome to the cottage!

Why they chose this property

Fenelon Falls, a village in Ontario, Canada, is part of the city of Kawartha Lakes, and nicknamed the "Jewel of the Kawarthas." There is an eclectic mix of antique stores, gift shops, coffee houses, health and wellness services plus fine dining restaurants, steps from Lock #34 on the Trent-Severn Waterway. The beach park boasts green spaces, splash pad, sand beach and playground for a full day of fun and relaxation. Take in the picturesque lake views and countryside from our multi-use Victoria Rail Trail, accessible year round. There are so many things to do and see in and around Fenelon Falls.

What makes this property unique

The Little Red Cottage is a place where you disconnect from the world and feel miles away from everything. Relax on the back porch, or enjoy fun with the family in the massive backyard. The best part is, you're still just a ten to fifteen minute walk into town, or to the beach. Also, the cottage is lake adjacent. You're steps away from water access, where you can drop your kayaks, or paddle boards. We're 'lake adjacent', meaning you get all the benefits without paying 'lakefront' prices.
