Welcome to I Glicini, a corner of paradise in the heart of Chianti. 

Nestled among the rolling Tuscan hills and surrounded by vineyards and olive groves, our lovingly restored barn is ready to welcome you for an unforgettable holiday. Located just 30 minutes from Florence and 40 from Siena, it is the perfect base to explore Tuscany’s treasures, including San Gimignano, Volterra, Pisa, and Lucca. 

I Glicini offers three uniquely styled apartments, each thoughtfully designed to create a warm and authentic Tuscan ambiance. 

Every apartment features a private entrance and its own terrace, equipped with a table, chairs, barbecue, and sun umbrella, perfect for savoring a glass of Chianti as the sun sets. Inside, you’ll find fully equipped kitchens with an oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, washing machine, toaster, kettle, and iron. Each bedroom is beautifully appointed and comes with its own private bathroom. In our garden, surrounded by the tranquility of the countryside, you can unwind by the pool or simply soak in the breathtaking views of the Tuscan landscape.

Beautiful setting in Tuscany! The view from the big window alone was worth the entire stay. The beds were comfortable, the whole place was very clean and Lucia and Roberto were lovely hosts. We had a rental car and made day trips to Siena (40 min.), Florence (drive to tram station, park and take into city center) about 30 min., Cinque Terre (2 hours) and San Gamignano/Voltarre (about 30 minutes). After walking those cities during the day it was so nice to return “home” for a quiet, peaceful evening and good night’s sleep. We would love to stay here again!

Wonderful Villa in the heart of Tuscany

We just had a wonderful stay in Lucia & Roberta's lovely villa. Fantastic location in the heart of Chianti, close to Siena, Florence & San Gimigiano. Fully equipeed, lots of space... lovely pool... fantastic!

Wonderful days in Tuscany!

Thank you Lucia and Roberto for wonderful days in your villa in Tuscany! We rented a three-bedroom apartment with a magnificent view of the landscape. The apartment was clean and fresh and contained everything we needed. The location was perfect and we easily got around to all the sights In the area. Nice pool area should also be mentioned! Can warmly recommend this accommodation!

Beautiful, spacious, clean with beautiful views.

We loved this home. It has a large family area and three very private bedrooms, each with their own assigned baths. The rooms were spacious, clean and the beds were comfortable. Two rooms had queen beds and the third had 2 twin beds. The owner was amazing, walking us through the home plus providing amazing guidance on what to do, where to go and how to travel. This was absolutely best place and will definitely consider again when we travel back to Italy. Only thing to add would be a portable fan to dry the clothes faster. I highly recommend.

Beautiful Oasis in Chianti

Beautiful relaxing property in the Chianti region. Our kids loved the pool and the view from the top floor overlooking the vineyards never got old. Fairly convenient driving distance to Florence (35 min) and Sienna (40 min) as well as all the smaller towns in the Chianti region (30-40 min), beautiful but small and windy roads so be aware you will do a fair amount of driving. Was a bit difficult getting in touch with Lucia prior to the journey and check-in instructions could have been clearer but once we got there everything was great. We enjoyed eating outside on the patio in the evening and the grounds were well kept and very relaxing.

Perfect location, lovely and helpful hosts

Our hosts, Lucia and Roberto were friendly, responsive through chat pre-booking and during our time onsite. They were accommodating with our arrival time and gave us all the info we needed in a brochure on-site to make a few last mini Ute choices about towns to visit. The accommodations themselves were as pictured and SO picturesque! Lots of space - 3 rooms including two with ensuite bathrooms and a great shared space with kitchen and seating. It was too chilly for the pool unfortunately but the outdoor space was great too. From recommending a local cooking class (Wilma at SiChef was excellent!) to the friendly hospitality, we could not have asked for a better experience. We hope to be back someday! Grazie mille!

True Tuscan experience

This home was in the perfect spot with wonderful views outside of the windows. The smell of the flowers blooming was wonderful. We absolutely enjoyed our stay. There is a town close by called Travarnelle with everything you need, groceries, restaurants and more. Lucia and Roberto were so quick to respond when needed. They made everything super easy. She went over everything in the house and places to visit as soon as we arrived. They even included a delicious bottle of wine. The house is equipped with everything you need like pots, pans, coffee pot etc. You may want to stop by and pick up extras as the house is pretty bare boned. Every room has a mini split if needed for a hot day. The pool was so refreshing for my kids, always squeaky clean.

Nice apartment

Large three-bedroom, three-bathroom apartment with a nice layout. The description on VRBO does not make it clear that you are only getting an apartment in a building that includes two other apartments. I thought I was booking a house. We stayed four days when the weather was not that cold, but we needed the heating, for which there is a separate charge. For four days, we spent another 100 euros. The apartment was clean and the linens and towels were of good quality. The appliances, pots and pans were in good condition, but there were no essentials whatsoever --- no coffee or tea, no dishwasher detergent, no paper towels, no condiments, no shower soap or shampoo. There is only one key, so a larger group would need to coordinate all activities. And the noise from the other units the building is not what I was hoping to get for a visit to the country.

Vi hade en helt fantastisk vistelse i detta underbara hus i Toscana! Lägenheten var rymlig, ljus och väldigt fint inredd – perfekt för att verkligen kunna koppla av. Poolen och den omgivande miljön var helt magisk: lugnt, grönt och med vacker utsikt, en riktig oas. Läget var också idealiskt, nära charmiga byar och härliga restauranger där vi njöt av den toskanska maten. Värdparet var otroligt trevliga och tillmötesgående, alltid redo att hjälpa till och göra vår vistelse ännu bättre. Vi kan varmt rekommendera detta boende och ser fram emot att återvända!

vacances en famille

Le logement était vraiment beau et fonctionnel pour une famille de deux adultes et trois adolescents. L'emplacement était excellent à mi-chemin entre Sienne et Florence. L'accueil et le suivi avec Lucia et Roberto était là également irréprochable et très amical. Bravo et merci encore à eux. Un très très bon moment en Toscane!

Toller Aufenthalt in den Herbstferien

Für unsere Familie (2 Erw, 2 Kinder von 7 und 11 Jahren) hatten wir die große Wohnung (1. OG) gebucht. Für Mitte Oktober war es wunderbar warm in der Toskana - toll, dass der Pool noch geöffnet war, das Schwimmen an den Nachmittagen nach den Ausflügen war super. Die Lage ist sehr verkehrsgünstig für Ausflüge nach Florenz, Siena, Volterra, etc... Wohnung sehr sauber.

Wunderschöner Familienurlaub

Wir waren 14 Tage als Gesamtfamilie (Großeltern, Elternpaar mit Kind - 2,5 Jahre, Elternpaar mit Kind - 14 Monate) in der Wohnung Glicini 3, im 1.Stock des Anwesens, mit herrlichem Ausblick in die Weinberge und weitere Umgebung. Jeder der 3 Familien hatte sein eigenes Zimmer mit Bad, der große Gemeinschaftsraum war ideal zum Kochen und gemeinsamen Essen mit allen zusammen. Die Küchenausstattung ist sehr großzügig und völlig ausreichend für eine große Familie. Der großzügige Treppenaufgang in die Wohnung war ideal auch für die Kinder. Alles war sauber und gepflegt. Gute Betten, schöne Bettwäsche, ausreichend Handtücher. Jede Woche frisch. Alles am Haus ist durchdacht und gepflegt. Unsere Gastgeber, Lucia und Roberto, immer freundlich, zuverlässig und hilfsbereit, diskret und gastfreundlich, man spürt, dass ihnen das Wohlbefinden der Gäste dm Herzen liegt. Der Swimmingpool war besonders schön für alle, klares und frisches Wasser, täglich unauffällig gewartet von Roberto. Aufgrund seiner Größe gut geeignet um zu schwimmen. Die Lage der Unterkunft ideal für Ausflüge in das Chiantigebiet und die Toskana. Kurzum, ein toller Familienurlaub in herrlicher Umgebung. Das Clicini 3 kann man wirklich weiterempfehlen. Abbiamo trascorso 14 giorni con tutta la famiglia (nonni, genitori con bambino - 2,5 anni, genitori con bambino - 14 mesi) nell'appartamento Glicini 3, al 1° piano della struttura, con una meravigliosa vista sui vigneti e sulla zona circostante.

Magnifique région. La villa est très bien située, à proximité de beaux endroits à aller visiter.

Absolument à visiter : Sienna, San Gimignano, Firenze, marché de San Casciano. Tavarnelle est un très beau village avec de très bons restaurants avec un accueil chaleureux et le personnel d'une gentillesse incroyable : restos sur la place : Il Caratello et La Cuccina di Catharina et la pizzeria A Puteca sont vraiment à conseiller. Le mardi soir il y a la fête au village et il faut absolument aller au resto Il Caratello car il y a la Bistecatta qui est vraiment à conseiller. Sur la place il y a aussi la boulangerie 'Il Forno di Piazza' : le pain et les baguettes y sont succulentes. Du jamais vu. Et le personnel y est très chaleureux, accueillant et d'une gentillesse exemplaire.

Tuscany Trip

Lucia was an excellent host. The location is very quiet with beautiful views of the surrounding area. She provided a lot of useful information about the area and helped us with dinner reservations. Our only issue was a nightly noise (sounded like crickets) in the wooden beams in the kitchen/living area. No other issues and we would recommend this apartment to others.

Wunderschöne Zeit

Die Wohnung und der Pool sind sehr schön,gepflegt und sauber. Für Ausflüge ist die Lage perfekt und sehr zentral. Auch stehen die Vermieter jeder Zeit mit Rat und Tat zur Seite. Jeder Zeit wieder, die Toskana ist wunderschön.

Lucia and Roberto are the sweetest most gracious hosts! The apartment was perfect for our family, clean, authentic rustic Italian decor and the pool was immaculate everyday and fabulous. Emplacement idéal pour visiter la toscane

Appartement très agréable idéalement placé pour les routes du chianti , la route des crêtes et tous les points principaux de la toscane .(sienne , san giminiano, pise…) Très bien équipé, une piscine spacieuse agréable très bien entretenu . Les hôtes sont sympathiques , attentionnés et très disponibles. Lucia maîtrise remarquablement le français et apporte si besoin une aide culturelle. Pour nous tout a été parfait nous sommes ravis et bien sûr je vous conseille de visiter cette superbe région en profitant de cette location unique.
