Thank you for such a lovely detailed review. We’re delighted you enjoyed your stay and found the cottage’s location so convenient for a weekend by the beach. We’re pleased the information provided made your check-in quick and easy, and that the Wi-Fi and mini fridge came in handy. We also love that you added a beach rock to our collection and enjoyed discovering a little of the cottage’s history. As a historic cottage, the occasional spider and web is unfortunately part of the character, especially at this time of year so we’re glad they didn’t cause too much trouble! Thank you again for staying with us, and we’d be very happy to welcome you back for another seaside getaway.

Thank you for your review Linda. You are the first person in after the lengthy coronavirus lockdown so a positive review is great. We are really glad that you enjoyed your stay. Cheers Mike and Louise

Hello Milissa We're happy that you had a good stay in our old cottage. Being right in the centre is a great bonus isn't it, especially if someone isn't a good walker maybe. Thanks for recommending us and hope to have you back one day. Many regards Mike & Louise

Hi Wendy, thank you for leaving us a review. Sorry about loud people in the street. It is out of our control but we will refit the secondary double glazing again now that winters coming. This should alleviate any future noise. We remove it for summer as the rooms can get too hot. Happy that you enjoyed the location, which as you say, is in the very centre of the old part of town, so plenty of restaurants, bars and shops on your doorstep. Thanks again. Mike and Louise.

Thanks for your 5* review Dennis. We're glad that you had a good stay and would book again. All the best Mike & Louise

Thank you for your nice review Helen. We're glad you enjoyed the cottage, the location and your time in Whitby. This is our first review as we haven't been on HomeAway very long. We were slightly puzzled by only three stars though as everything was good for you and no negative comments. Hopefully a slip of the hand? We've done it before too. Welcome back anytime.😁
