We really enjoyed the property’s location on the north side of Tahoe. The home was very comfortable, and we were impressed with how well the kitchen was stocked — everything from utensils to dishes and cookware was thoughtfully provided. The grill and patio areas were some of our favorite places to relax.The property was nicely maintained overall. The master bed was a bit soft for our preference, but still comfortable. The natural light through the trees was lovely, though the upper level did warm up during the 80 degree days.A great bonus was the dog park and courts just up the street, about a 10‑minute walk — super convenient and a nice amenity for anyone traveling with pets.

comfortable cabin for family

Our family of 4 enjoyed a week of vacation. The cabin is clean, comfortable, and the kitchen is well equipped. The location is convenient to the beaches, hiking, dining, and grocery. We would definitely come back to rent again.

Summer Family Holiday

Great location and property. The property had anything and everything a family would need for a comfortable stay; a well-appointed kitchen and the cleanest rental we've ever seen. The property management was so helpful; responsive and helpful to all our inquiries.

Nice place

The place is clean and well maintained. TVs in every room was nice. WIFI was great. Kitchen and main family area was perfect. The location is great. Only about 15 minutes to North Star.

Quintessential Tahoe Cabin experience- well appointed and comfortable

We stayed over Labor Day weekend and had a lovely stay. Very short drive to Carnelian Bay dog-friendly beach. Quick trip to Kings beach Safeway for supplies and 10 minutes from Tahoe city. Highly recommend

House is very nice and accommodating. Smart t.v.’s not preferred for many reasons. Biggest issue was the master bedroom and downstairs bedroom with queen bed had zero privacy at night. The shades are 100% see through. Needless to say when we discovered this we realized the house across the street had a clear view nightly into your bedroom and bed. Very disturbing and frankly unacceptable. We did nightly viewing tests to verify. People across the way, which is very close, were regularly at there viewing windows. If you want to possibly put on a show this is the place, otherwise I would pass on this otherwise very nice home.

Easy Vacation !

This was our first stay in Lake Tahoe, a chance to vacation with our son and his young family (5-year old twins). The house was perfect, a good layout with one bedroom upstairs and two downstairs. It is well furnished and the kitchen has everything needed for cooking or grilling. Location is very convenient to several lake towns, shopping, and the beach.

5 Star Lake Tahoe cabin

We rented the Knotty Bear Cabin for a week in July 2022. The cabin is a beautiful house, very well furnished and decorated, great floor plan, very clean, has everything needed for a great stay, in wooded neighborhood. We greatly enjoyed our stay. We will return. The DeClercq family

President's Week Getaway

Knotty Bear Cabin is a warm and cozy home with a well stocked kitchen. Instructions for self check-in were clear. When we arrived we found a clean and organized home. Our six year old son was comfortable here. I've stayed in a lot of rental homes and this one was definitely the best.

We had an amazing time at this house during the Christmas week. There was a winter storm so we landed up spending more time at home than we had planned. The open layout of the kitchen and living room with lots of big windows to enjoy watching the snowfall with a fire or a movie and hot chocolate kept us happy and cozy. It was very clean and comfortable. All of us - 2 teenage kids, two dogs and grandma - really enjoyed the stay. Snow play area is at walking distance so it was very convenient to visit that whenever the storm paused. We even walked with the dogs to the King’s beach area. The highlight was the well equipped kitchen which got us started while we got our groceries in order and replenished some. Couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend time with the kids as it is our older one’s last winter at home before heading off to college. Will be coming back for sure!

Our stay at Knotty Bear Cabin was wonderful. The location was great for our needs and the house was perfect. Every kitchen utensil/ gadget you could hope for. Great linens. Not a single complaint. We will stay there again
