My friend and I were highly impressed with the quality of the apartment, its furnishings, its cleanliness, and the planning that went in to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Proximity to the beach is great. The veranda on which one can sit and enjoy the day, especially the sunset, an added bonus. Also liked the heated pool. Also the laundry facilities.

Beautiful setting for vacation.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The owner responded very quickly prior to our being there and while we were there. The pool was lovely and a lot of families there. The beach too was very nice.

Lake Michigan getaway in a quaint town

We really enjoyed our stay, right on Lake Michigan. Quiet building, close to the cute downtown area with shops and restaurants. Can't wait to book again in the summertime!

Loved it!

My favorite place in south Haven that I have stayed! The ease to the beach and the heated pool was wonderful! The condo was clean and had everything we needed! Will definitely book next year!

Love it!

We had such an amazing time! Walk out the condo, across the patio, and down to the beach. The pool was perfect! The condo was clean and fully equipped. We will definitely be back!

Summer 2020

The location of the property couldn’t be any better! The amenities within the unit were plentiful, you could cook almost anything if you are looking to avoid restaurants during these crazy times. The opportunity to have the pool and the lake was a huge benefit.

Beautiful view of Lake Michigan

Beautiful view of Lake Michigan, very nice PRIVATE sandy beach. Only rocks were flat and smooth, perfect for skipping rocks. Great wading area at the lake where you can walk quite a ways from shore (great for playing catch or other games). Amazing sunset views. Walking distance to many restaurants, Maritime museum, shops, etc. Pool was a nice size and temperature but mostly deep end for those with littles will need floatation devices. All around great place to visit!

Look forward to coming again!

The property was clean, well decorated and had everything you might need. We were provided with clear instructions for everything. Assigned parking spot was great. The weather was colder then you would expect for July but it was wonderful to take a break from work and enjoy the relaxing waves of Lake Michigan.

South Haven is a little piece of heaven

The condo was adequately appointed with everything that you would need. Soft luxurious towels and plenty of cleaning, cooking, and paper products provided. The renters and Tennant's in the complex were very friendly and the beach and pool were very nice. The only downside was that the unit is on the 3rd floor and there is not an elevator...so pack light. I was pleased overall however the window air conditioner had a hard time keeping the condo cool and needed some cleaning service.

My stay couldn't have been better!

My daughter and her family live in St. Joseph and I live Alabama and since the baby was born she no longer has a guest room. This is the 3rd property that I have rented since my granddaughter was born in November 2017 and it is hands down the best I have experienced. I'll be looking to see if Mr. Prell's property is available when booking for future visits. The kitchen was very well stocked, and being from the South, sweet tea is a must and there was a gallon picture and ice trays! There was nothing that I needed that was not in the condo. The bed was very comfortable and so was everything else. I was there from March 29, 2018 to April 15, 2018 and it was windy and cold but I walk on the beach almost every evening, saw some beautiful sunsets, picked up some beach/sea glass and took a lot of pictures. It's just over an hour to Grand Rapids and there are a lot of antique shops within a short distance. I can't say enough about how wonderful this trip was. It was really a home away from home.

Best place for small family in South Haven

We had the best vacation for our small family of 4 at this unit. The condo was even better than pictures- the kitchen has some modern updates, there is a nice large dining table with 6 chairs and just about anything we would need from a fully stocked kitchen, a step stool, a large fan, plenty of paper towels & toilet paper, and so many soft bathroom towels etc. The beds were comfortable and the bedspread was so soft I want to get one for my house! It was very clean and everything sanitized prior to our arrival. I was worried about being on the 3rd floor with no elevator and no A/C in the bedroom, but neither was an issue at all! It really is a short walk from the unit to the beach & pool. The reserved parking space is also very close to the building which is great. We were blessed with amazing weather, a very warm lake and had an overall great week! The condo association has some new COVID rules like you must wear a mask in the common areas of the building & no chairs allowed in the pool area. There is also no more than 27 people allowed in the pool area, but this was never a problem... if anything it made us feel safer being on vacation during a pandemic. The owner was very responsive and great to work with! In terms of the beach, it is much smaller/shorter than pictures and full of small sticks due to storms/erosion this past year, but still has plenty of space for everyone. It's easy to social distance since its not a public beach. Out of all of the vacation rentals we have stayed at over the years, this one is the best! It exceeded our expectations and we would def. recommend this to anyone!

Walked in to an air conditioned rental! Wonderful on such a hot day.We ate out every afternoon so didn’t actually use the kitchen, except for the refrigerator/freezer. We kept breakfast foods cold and made lots of ice cubes. Dining room table was great for breakfast and snacking and for playing games.

Satisfying Getaway

Despite difficulties with the condo keypad and dogs running loose and barking, we were delighted with the condo itself and the amenities such as the soft bath towels, coffee system, well-stocked kitchen utensils, surround sound and comfortable furniture, just to name a few. As we've enjoyed several times in the past at North Shore, the pool & beach were unparalleled and we look forward to our next stay.

Another awesome stay in South Haven

Our family has been coming to southwest Michigan for 10 years now. This is our 3rd year at Ed's place and it is perfect. Heated pool, beach RIGHT THERE, lots of restaurants, shops, and activities in walking distance. Outdoor grill onsite as well!

Condo on the beach

Cozy, clean property on third floor walk up. Small, but we like the location. The condo, pool, and patio rules are strictly enforced by year-round condo owners, so not the place to go if you are loud or want to party late. The owner is very nice and easy to communicate with.

I grew up, on the New Jersey shoreline, going to the beach daily, and enjoying the activities that one can only have on the beach. In 2013, I first visited South Haven and realized how much I missed having those experiences in my life. South Haven is a great beach town with all the activities and destinations; that I missed living on the coast. When the opportunity became available in 2015 to own a piece of personal paradise, I seized it! I offer to share these experiences with you, and hope you receive the same pleasures I do. Perhaps you will become a neighbor as I did.

Enjoy 200 feet of private sugar sand beachfront, with private heated pool overlooking Lake Michigan, on the best beach; I have ever been too. Dine and watch spectacular sunsets from private patio that over looks private beach and Lake Michigan. A great place to reenergize, and leave your daily life for a week, let your stress melt away while you listen to the waves crash along the shoreline, with barefoot toes in warm sand. A great place for family to swim, sit, comb beach, dine and make long-term memories. Walk or bike to downtown shops, cafe's, restaurants, museums, marinas, beaches, parks, and trails.
