For golfers a paradise as you're close to I should say right on a golf course looking down on it and then it also has a workout room and just a great location. 3-4 mi from quickie Mart type store gas station and about 15 minutes from real shopping

This house was such a peaceful retreat for me. The grounds are beautiful and lots of birds. It was fun to watch the golfers and look out at the lake. The flowers are all in bloom and the hot tub was a perfect 102! I highly recommend this property!

Beautiful place, quiet, gorgeous views of the lake/mountains. Able to accomodate 3 of us comfortably and the office area enabled us to work remotely when we needed to. Washer/dryer worked well, small kitchen was enough for what we needed.

Beautiful views

Beautiful views here. Peaceful. The kids really enjoyed the hot tub and we all enjoyed the theater room will come back for sure.

Just as Advertised

Extremely nice place loaded with amenities! Views are gorgeous and the golf course and lake are amazing. We travel with our dogs and loved having the off leash area so close, not to mention all the hiking areas too. We loved our stay and will book again when we head back to Bellingham.

The property is beautiful, the house is spacious and well equipped with anything you could need. The hosts were very helpful and communicative throughout our stay. We really loved the movie theater! I enjoyed waking up to the mountain view. My Mom is in a wheelchair, there is a steep incline from the driveway to the bottom patio for a short distance, which the host communicated to us. She did need assistance to go up and down this. There was a small lip at the patio door besides that the property was accessible to my mother except the movie theater area which has a large step into the room. Overall, a wheelchair is able to comfortably navigate around the property once you're down there. Hope that helps someone else!!Thank you Nicole & Jason for hosting our family and making sure our stay was comfortable!

Perfect oasis away from home

The location, peacefulness, and things to do for everyone (including the large off leash dog area and theatre room) was awesome and made the trip away from home absolutely wonderful. Wish we could have stayed longer but will definitely be staying again! The response from the host was timely and very gracious.Thank you!

Fun weekend getaway

The property was a great home base for our weekend away! Great value for the space. Our family really enjoyed the theater room. Everything was clean and things were easy to find. The host was responsive and easy to work with. Our kids really loved the home!

Great home base

We rented this property as a homebase for a short reunion of college roommates. It was terrific, a great place to hang out together with all the amenities we needed. Nicole was very nice and quickly responded to questions.

Everything someone could ask for!

I wish I could have stayed longer. A beautiful house and a beautiful setting, had everything we needed for our quick overnight. Easy check-in. Everything was super clean, the hot tub was ready to go, and the movie theater was super cozy. The host was very responsive when questions came up. Would definitely return for a longer stay next time.

Checking in was easy. The view to the golf course was beautiful & we had a couple of deer around the back of the house. We all enjoyed the theater room. One believes that booking this Vrbo you will have the whole house to yourself because booking doesn’t say it’s a shared space. We never had this happen in our entire experience of booking. Owner was very responsive and the jacuzzi was great. We all had a great time including our dog with lots of space to run.

The exact description of this rental property is noted on the VRBO listing, along with the pictures of all the rooms within the rental property. Below, I have confirmed the exact listing description of the rental space. This listing has been posted on the VRBO platform for over 6 years. This VRBO rental property is 3,200 square feet and is located on the first level of a 5,000 square foot, multi-million-dollar home directly on the Sudden Valley golf course, offering the most beautiful views of Lake Whatcom and the foothills. This property is currently the largest and most desirable home within the Sudden Valley community. This beautifully decorated rental property is completely private with absolutely NO shared spaces, with a private entrance and parking. The rental space features very high, 13-foot ceilings, two large bedrooms with walk-in closets, two full bathrooms, a fitness room, a private movie theater with surround sound and reclining lounge chairs, and a SONOS sound system throughout the rental property, controlled by a mounted iPad or your smartphone.

Spectacular!!!

This is everything you would want in a place to stay. Not only was it everything that was promised, but unexpected details were a great surprise. Like the retro sit and spin for the grand kids, along with numerous other great toys they could play with and help them feel at home. Can’t wait to return!!

Super nice vacation spot

Check in and out was easy. Super big private spot. Had a wonderful time on a mini vacation in Bellingham. Was super irritated at first cuz Media room didn't work. After I got some rest I figured it out. The media room was super awesome. Got to watch movies on a big private theatre. Best part was relaxing during a cold night in the hot tub. Will definitely want this place again if I come to Bellingham

Summer Stay

Beautiful and relaxing. Two words that describe completely this delightful home. Morning coffee on the patio overlooking a gorgeous golf course and serene lake. We also enjoyed the wonderful movie theater where we gathered as a family to watch the latest features. We could not have imagined a more perfect getaway. A sincere thank you to the friendly hosts for their hospitality and opening up their beautiful home for us to enjoy.

Good overall

House was nice overall. Hot tub and view were great. Bed in the master was extremely uncomfortable (way too firm, and I prefer firm mattresses but this was extreme), and neither shower had good water pressure. We also had to carry one of our dogs down to the little grassy part of the yard - she's 15 and the hill was just way too steep for her.

perfect spot for a girls night in!

A group of us Moms (4 of us) booked this home for a girls night and we had the best time! It was such a nice place, beautiful view and had plenty of room for us. It was dumping rain so we didn't use the hot tub (one friend did jump in briefly in the morning), but having it was one of the reasons we chose this home. The media room was to die for, and we enjoyed cozying up for a movie night after talking for hours in the comfy living room. Great hostess, I will be keeping this in mind for any future getaways!

Sudden Valley summer - golf course

I think it is important for the renters to know is that the renting portion of the house is actually a basement. The site shows and picture of the whole house and refers to 5000 sf, but the owner stays on the first level and the bottom partly in the ground portion of the house is being rented. there is no AC and I felt the house is overpriced and left a day early. The location is really nice.

This rental property is not a basement, there is absolutely nothing about this rental property that would remind anyone of a basement and there are no shared spaces, this is clearly stated in the description of the rental property on the VRBO listing. The square footage of the rental property is 3200 square feet and is located on the first level of a 5000 square foot house, the biggest house inside the Sudden Valley community. This rental property is beautifully decorated and fully furnished with large windows in every room, so the renters have amazing views from every room in the house. The ceilings are 13 feet high, and the property is impeccably clean. This rental property features a hot tub, full fitness center, and a state-of-the-art movie theater again with no shared spaces.

Great Family Reunion!

The rental property is located on the golf course with lake view and just a short walk to the lakes shore, swings, dog park and boat ramp. It dog heaven down there! Great roped area for swimming. The property is the lower part of a very large house. Separate entrance from the upper rental. Hot tub was great! Best for small family or small group that isn’t planning on cooking a lot, as the fridge, stove and cooktop are small. Theater room is cool! Guests can use the community pool but it does cost a small day fee. You must bring your own towel. The owner is very Friendly and communicative! We would love to return and stay longer.

This property is very comfortable. We had an issue which the owners fixed promptly. Overall, an excellent experience. The media room was a hit with us. We would consider staying here again. minus 1 star for safety concerns. The walk around the house to the back of the house is a little steep. For someone over 60, this felt treacherous especially when carrying bags. A handrail would greatly improve this. There are also no rails for entering the showers and no anti slip mats in the showers. The 8 AM gardening session was not appreciated.

We were so thankful to stay with this host! We had an unexpected, last minute need for a local location and Nicole was so quick to respond and allowed us some flexibility on our departure day. Thank you!We were surprised to realize we were only renting the lower level. Admittedly, the information is in the listing, including pictures of the kitchen, which should have tipped me off ;)We had some difficulty with parking, having come with three vehicles for our family. We were requested to not park in front of the garage, which left us parked behind the owners vehicle in the driveway. This resulted in having to coordinate moving vehicles in the early morning, backing up and around a curved hill driveway and into a blind one way street. The hot tub was not filled, as advertised. It would have been lovely to use it, and honestly one of the reasons we chose this listing.The dishwasher was not hooked up to water. We didn’t realize this until our last day. Had I asked sooner, I’m confident Nicole would have corrected it. We didn’t have time to utilize all amenities - the golf course, gym, etc. But we did watch a few movies in the theater room and enjoyed that. We will come back again sometime when we can enjoy this gorgeous place for all it has to offer.

Bellingham Visit

The property was awesome - right on the golf course, close to downtown Bellingham. The only real problem was lack of communication of where the key was located, no book or instructions on the internet/Wi-Fi connection, how to work the lights in the house (very state-of-the-art system), & what we must do on departure?? Typical guidance that is usually available. Even though The owner lived in the upper level of the house, we did not make contact. I could not get into my VRBO app because I forgot my password & could not get good Wi-Fi reception on my phone. So we made do, had a great visit w/my granddaughter who goes to WWU, & would love to stay at house again w/more communication, which could be my fault as much as anyone else!

This VRBO rental property is a large 5000 square foot property, this property is the largest home inside the Sudden Valley community. This property has NO shared spaces, the entire space is available for rent, but most families either can't afford the $1000 daily rate to rent the entire property or families just don't need a 5000 square foot house for their family vacation. This house is truly a one-of-a-kind rental property being located directly on the Sudden Valley golf course with the most beautiful views of Lake Whatcom. As a renter you received a very discounted rate for your stay, and I hope you had time to enjoy the private hot tub, fitness room, and private movie theater with surround sound and reclining lounge chairs. I'm truly sorry for the lack of communication. I had a new cleaning service that was cleaning the property. The maid was supposed to leave the detailed instructions inside the kitchen area but left the instructions inside one of the kitchen drawers by mistake, along with the amenities card. The owner of the property has a very busy schedule and is always travelling for work, otherwise proper communication would have been clearly achieved.
