Sommerhuset nyder godt af vidtrækkende udsigt over havet og ud mod Port Isaac. Dele af dette karakteristiske hjem går tilbage 450 år tilbage og drager fordel af 2 generøse soveværelser i store størrelser, et familiebadeværelse med badekar / bruser, rummelig lounge, separat spisestue og fuldt udstyret køkken, der fører videre til en rækkehavehave bagpå, komplet med siddepladser. Off-road parkering er støder op til hytten med plads til 2 biler. Det er bekvemt placeret, i gåafstand fra den berømte sydvestkysten sti og Tintagel med dens myter og sagn om King Arthur og nu åbnes dens nye gangbro først i august 2019. Boscastle, Port Isaac - hjemsted for Doc Martin, Bodmin Moor, Padstow, Poldark land er alle let tilgængelige, hvilket gør Trelake Cottage til en perfekt base. Mange andre berømte attraktioner, såsom Eden-projektet, Lost Gardens of Heligan og Daphne du Mauriers Jamaica Inn, ligger kun en kort køretur derfra. For de mere energiske gæster er der mange strande i nærheden til surfing, body boarding og andre vandsport. Nyligt renoveret i 2019, et ophold på Trelake Cottage må ikke gå glip af.

The cottage was in a idyllic location very cosy and clean the hosts are very informative with a lovely folder with every detail possible in it .from local pubs to shops attractions ect I would recommend this property

Lovely, comfortable cottage in a quiet and beautiful setting. The owners are attentive and have provided many thoughtful, homely touches. They were easy to contact, and helpful and friendly in their replies. In the cottage, the beds were very comfortable, and the shower was excellent too.

Beautiful cottage. 15 min walk through the field to great but tidal Trebarwith beach. Cute village of Tintagel nearby by car or bike. Lovely outside sitting area with excellent view from the top. In love with the views from the rooms.Visited with 2 teenage surfers who were very content to be near the waves.

Lovely short break at Treknow

Truly one of the best quality self catering cottages we have stayed at. Beautiful furnishings and decor and well equipped kitchen. Spotlessly clean and Karen was so helpful throughout our stay. The village is so pretty and well located for all the local beauty spots. We had a delightful stay.

We strive to provide a comfortable, relaxed and peaceful space for our guests to enjoy, not only on the inside, but also in the garden too, so it means a lot to know you consider it to be of such quality. Cleanliness is of the greatest importance to us, especially since we were allowed to re-open and welcome guests back during all these difficult months over the last year or so, and we like to think our guests feel confident that all precautions have been taken regarding hygiene. I believe my job as a host begins from the point of a guests booking and I am more than happy to answer any questions concerning the cottage and surrounding beautiful area it is located in. I am always happy to chat with our guests and nothing is too much trouble. We are truly happy when our guests have had a great stay!

Loved property and location

The host was very helpful ahead of our stay and provided recommendations for local taxi firms that they use. Property is beautiful and we walked down to trebarwith beach on several occasions, limiting the need to get in the car.

Lovely, spacious cottage in great location

The cottage has plenty of space for a family - with a very large lounge area and a large, well equipped kitchen. Bedrooms are great too. All beautifully decorated throughout. Lovely garden too. Great walking from the front door and some good pubs etc in the area as well as great beaches. Highly recommended!

Gorgeous cottage.

We only spent 2 nights here but we loved it. Wished we could have stayed longer. Beautiful cottage. Fire lit in the lounge was super cosy. Very dog friendly. Lovely little thoughtful touches throughout. Host very helpful and communicative. A great find. We’ll be back!

Perfect short break location

A lovely cottage in a quiet village on the North Cornwall coast. As newcomers to this area, it turned out to be an ideal base for local beach days at Trebarwith Strand as well as exploring Tintagel. We also managed to fit in visits to Padstow, Port Isaac & Boscastle. If we had been staying longer this would have also been a great base for exploring further afield in Cornwall. The village itself was beautifully quiet and the cottage was a short walk from the coastal path, enabling us to view spectacular sunsets with ease. The cottage was clean and comfortable with lovely decor, and we would definitely love to return one day

A stay to visit St. Nectins Glen

Excellent communication by Karen and Richard. Loved the cottage and all the different interesting furniture pieces. Unfortunately the main road into the property was closed and we had to use another road for access, which was quite scary when entering onto the main road, but we survived! Would highly recommend and would return, as good value. Thank you

A Relaxing and Wonderful Stay at Trelake Cottage

The cottage is a large, cosy and beautifully kept property in the quaint village of Treknow on the North Cornwall coast. We valued the excellent bed which provided the most wonderful sleep (very important for a relaxing stay), the all the amenities, the layout, the stunning garden and the fact it was walking distance from one of the most wonderful beaches in Cornwall. We felt at home right away, and we also appreciated the lovely communication from the owners providing us with all the information needed and the best wishes for a wonderful stay. We would love to come back to Trelake Cottage, which provided the best base for a most memorable holiday. Thank you very much ♥

A Cornish Christmas

We arrived to find that our hosts, Karen and Richard had decorated the house so tastefully for Christmas, so many thoughtful details and extras. The cottage was spotless and looked so welcoming. The village is an ideal location for Tintagel, Port Isaac and other Cornish beauty spots. Bearing in mind we cooked a full Christmas lunch, there was a complete selection of utensils, dishes, pots and pans- and a lovely log fire to complete the atmosphere. Having had many holidays in Cornwall, I would recommend this cottage for any family of 4, young or old

Excellent- Highly recommended

A lovely cottage, dog friendly with a lovely, dog safe garden. Cottage very comfortable and well appointed - host had pretty much thought of everything down to dog blankets, towels and treats! Trebarwith Strand beach is gorgeous, and plenty big enough for everyone - dogs, children, surfers …. Easy and pleasant walk down to beach - only about 10 mins or so. Surrounding area also lovely - nice places to visit within easy distance. Tintagel brewery shop is just around the corner and does spectacular Wagyu beef steaks …. Whether you are a dog lover, walker or family, Trelake Cottage is an excellent base. Communication with Karen, the host, is easy and clear. I would definitely recommend …..

Nice and clean cottage with a wonderful garden and sea view

We (4 adults and 1 dog) enjoyed to stay at Trelake Cottage. Really near to the Coast Path which you can use for getting to Tintagel. Also not far to Trebarwith Strand by using public footpathes. Getting to Tintagel and Wadebridge (for shopping) is also easy by using the public busses. Communication with Karen and Richard was very good. They are really helpful.You should read also the binder with interesing and helpful description which you can find in the living room. Note that Lanes in Treknow and the villages around are narrow and sometimes steep. But as mentioned, walking or using the bus could also be an option (at least for some of the excursions).

Cooper in Cornwall….

Are you looking for a homely, comfortable cottage in a great location….well trelake cottage is the perfect retreat for you. After booking this cottage with Richard and Karen I had nothing but helpful and prompt communications from them. They kindly contacted us as soon as the property was available, so we were lucky to have an early entry. Our party consisted of four adults and one excitable spaniel. The cottage had everything that we needed for our 4 day stay…even dog biscuits! The garden is perfect for dining in or just to take yourself away and chill ( the top garden has a lovely wooden seat) The location for us was perfect just a short walk to the coastal path and your adventures begin! Stunning scenery with dramatic drops onto small bays, this part of the Cornish coastline is just breathtaking! The walk to port Isaac is not for everyone but if you fancy a challenge … It’s worth it! As I said the cottage location was perfect for us, with so much to see and do. Many thanks for a great stay and for the apples from the garden! Regards

I have lived in Cornwall for 15 years and love the beauty of the area. We are committed to providing the best holiday let stay that we possibly can, to make it a lovely experience for our guests. We take great pride in the cleanliness and style of our cottage and hope it provides a comfortable and peaceful stay for all. My husband has designed and maintains the garden and has made it the beautiful area that it is today. We live with 2 mad border collies, who have tried & tested the security of the garden to the best of their ability. We are not far from the property and are on hand if needed. I enjoy communicating with our guests and am willing to answer any of their questions to the best of my knowledge.

Trelake cottage is a welcoming, tranquil space where you can relax & take time out.
It seems to have a serenity all of it's own, which has been proved by some of the lovely comments our guests have made & although it has only been a holiday let since the end of last August, we have already had guests who have returned & others who have booked to return in the future.

The cottage is bigger than you initially think - many people have likened it to the Tardis!
There is plenty of space to enjoy. The garden benefits from areas of sun & shade, with enough areas for guests to sit when wanting a moment of peace to themselves. It is located a short walking distance away from the coastal path on a quiet road.
