Grampa's Beach House, Ocean View, Grover Beach

Hyggeligt lille hus i North Grover Beach, fantastisk havudsigt og udsigt over Pismo klitten fra store stuen vinduer og veranda.

Du lejer hele huset. Huset er i sig selv på lodret, ingen andre lejere. Beliggende på et hjørneparti, masser af plads udenfor, åben og luftig følelse, kun naboer på den ene side.

Overdækket veranda med havudsigt med stole og bord, perfekt til at slappe af og nyde vores fantastiske solnedgange i Central Coast. Masser af parkering. Lille gårdhave.

1 queensize-seng. En stor sofa (ikke en seng), plus en luftseng (voksenstørrelse, elektrisk oppustet).

Autentisk indretning og møbler fra midten af århundrede og mursten, som de fleste har været i vores familie i årtier. Forvent ikke smarte marmorplader og Xenon-belysning (ha-ha), bare et rent og behageligt ophold med ægte retrokarakter.

Fotos er faktisk alle taget fra stuen og verandaen i huset, ikke fra "i nærheden".

Beliggende i Grover Heights, en kort køretur eller en cykeltur til indgangen til Oceano Dunes, Pismo Beach og Butterfly Preserve.

I modsætning til at bo på et hotel har du et komplet køkken, køleskab i lille størrelse og komfur i fuld størrelse (oplev den uplettede 50'ers-vintage O'Keefe & Meritt-inklusive ovn i stor størrelse, slagtekylling, endda en indbygget -i bageplade til dine hjemmelavede pandekager! De laver dem ikke sådan mere ...), mikroovn, brødristerovn, spisebord til fire med udsigt.

I modsætning til på de fleste hoteller er du velkommen til at medbringe ethvert / alle dine kæledyr for at nyde den smukke Central Coast med dig! (ekstra gebyr $ 50 pr. kæledyr. Ingen grænse for antal!)

Great location just a few minutes from the beach. It's comfortable, bright and has terrific sunset views. Kim was communicative and helpful during my stay.

Colleen's Midwest company rented our place for one of their employees on a California assignment. The employee and his wife (and their dog! :) ) stayed for several months, and were the idea guests-no problems at all. They were pleasant , followed all rules, and they left the place perfectly clean.

It's an older house, but the owners were very good about letting us know where the (very minor) inconveniences were. The owners were extremely accommodating, and the location was perfect! It's far enough away from the beach to avoid the tourist crowds, but close enough to have the view and quick access to sights! I would highly recommend for locals as well as visitors to the area! The owners even provided a list of dog friendly venues and sights!

17 day holiday fun

My wife and I really enjoyed this Grover property. Even though it’s living area sounded small the floor plan makes it feel large and not cramped at all. Our trip was filled with pedaling over 350 miles, 40 miles of beach walking, deep sea chartered fishing, and kayaking. All of which was so convenient to this rental. The property manager was as good as it gets for communication and availability. We’ll definitely return. Doug and Patti Also should add not only is this rental very dog friendly, the whole neighborhood is very dog friendly. I’ve never seen a neighborhood with so many dog walkers.

Clean & comfortable in a convenient location

Grandpa's Beach House is exactly as described - it certainly hasn't been updated, but the property is clean and everything works properly. Although old, it didn't feel grungy at all. The only items that could have been cleaner were some of the kitchen items - several of the glasses were actually stuck to the shelf paper in the cabinet. However, I usually wash any kitchen items before using them anyway, because I don't expect the owners to rewash every every kitchen item after every guest leaves, and you never know how well previous guests will have washed something. Both the living area and the bedroom were larger than we had expected and provided plenty of room for my husband, 2 teen-age boys (who didn't mind sleeping on the couch), dog, and me. The owner, Kim, was very responsive when I asked for kitchen towels (I could only find one) and extra pillow cases (which it turns out we didn't need as I later found them in a garbage bag in the cabinet underneath the bathroom sink). The location was great - a 25-minute walk to Grover Beach a 45-minute walk to downtown Pismo Beach, and a 20-minute drive to Cal Poly. The house is at the top of the hill, so the views are pretty nice, but the hill is not too steep to walk or run up. We will definitely consider staying in this home again.

Cool Antique Roadshow

Kim greeted us with a cool tour of some of the house and his fun antique cars. You’ll have to visit for yourself to find out what kind of cars they are! :) the house is filled with antiques down to the silverware and glasses. We liked it! My dog liked it. Nice neighborhood for walking your dog. Very close to the beach. Close to the dunes. I was a little worried about the bed but I slept so good! The shower pressure was amazing too especially after a long day at the dunes. We recommend Papis Tacos (I think that’s the name of the place) local, affordable and the best tacos!

Great vacation place

The house was very comfortable and had everything we needed. It was also in a great location, near to shops, grocery store and restaurants in Grover beach. Just a few minutes' drive to Grover Beach for morning walks and we could watch the sun set sitting from the front porch in the evening. Also close to Pismo Beach and Avila Beach. Would recommend this place to anyone.

Amazing area !

The beach house served as a cozy nest to unwind after a long drive . It is centrally located for many attractions .. Pismo Beach is adjacent to Grover Beach , San Luis Obispo is about a 10 minute drive , and dreamy Morro Bay is a mere 12 miles away . So much to see & do , there's little time for boredom to settle in ... The property was clean and adequate for our needs . California Fresh is a great local , organic store , located off of five Cities Drive . They offer fresh sushi daily , a huge deli section , and amazing coffee priced @ only $ 1.50 , no matter what size you choose ! Arroyo Grande is also close by : more great coffee shops & a fun town to just hang out . ( lots of unique little shops ) Our host , Kim was very accommodating & sincerely interested in our having an enjoyable visit ! Look forward to a future return to this amazing area !

Grover Beach will always be our home...

It was really nice to come back to this cozy home away, after a day visiting with friends. We are from the area and really enjoyed being able to be in Grover close to all of our friends. Kim met us at the property and gave us the tour and showed us where everything was that we might need, during our stay. The beach house was clean, comfortable and a good place to stay for the week. Amazing owners with an ideal location!

The owners were welcoming & helpful even before I officially rented their home. Upon arrival I found that the house was tidy & felt like a home away from home & could be considered a cozy vacation place for either a single person or a family. It's located in a safe, peaceful neighborhood where the neighbors are friendly & at night there aren't any loud screeches of partiers or the squealing of tires on the pavement from the wrong kind of mischief being made. The cost is most definitely reasonable, the owners & the place & location are ideal, & I will most definitely be a repeat when I'm back in the area. Thank u again for the wonderful stay!

This home was perfect for our three night stay. My wife and I wished we had stayed for a longer time. The home is comfortable, safe, and clean. It is located in a quiet neighbourhood and its proximity to the other towns in the area makes it very convenient. The kitchen was great and we were able to make breakfast and a few dinners when we felt like staying in for the night. Wifi is speedy and we were able to watch the LA Kings games on the large flat screen. The hosts are very friendly and attentive. There is much to do on the Central coast. Bring your bikes, there are numerous paths. Within a few kilometres, you can drive or ride to the Monarch Butterfly Grove and observe thousands of butterflies. Then head to Arroyo Grande to walk the suspension bridge and dodge the wild roosters and chickens that inhabit the towns creek and downtown area. Both Grover Beach and Arroyo Grande have many pubs and eateries. Pismo Beach is right next to these towns and can be very colorful. San Luis Obispo is only about ten miles away and has a great college town feel. Thursday nights offer the Farmers Market and is a great thing to if in SLO. Morro Bay is just another 12 miles away and offers fresh seafood and many beautiful views of the volcanic plug that is Morro Rock. The beach is beautiful and to me, epitomizes the central coast beach. Sand dunes with wide expanses of beach. Lots of solitude. This home is in the middle of it all and should be on your radar for a home away from home while exploring the Central Coast. Be certain to visit some wineries. Offering solid Pinot Noir varietals.

Very comfy and cute!

We were looking for a place to celebrate Thanksgiving in between our nor cal Home, my mom’s home in so. cal, and close to our daughter, who attends Cal Poly. We we’re delighted to find this cute and cozy house. We were even able to bring our pup and had an absolutely wonderful time and built beautiful memories. Kim and Susan couldn’t have been more gracious and accommodating. The location is conveniently located near beaches, sand dunes, excellent restaurants and supermarkets. The linens were soft and fluffy, the furniture cozy, and the kitchen very well stocked. I was even able to make our improvised Thanksgiving meal, including a pie with the available pie plate and measuring cups and spoons. I was so pleasantly surprised! Thank you so much for letting us share a fantastic Thanksgiving at Grandpa’s Beachhouse!

Our Dad bought this home in 1994 when he moved to the Central Coast to be near us and his grandchildren. He loved the high, open, airy location, and relaxing on the wonderful front porch overlooking the yard, streets, city, dunes, and ocean.

Derfor er dette overnatningssted unikt

Rare corner lot facing two wide streets, meaning uncrowded, open feeling, impossible to get in any motel, hotel, or in a room in most other vacation rentals.

Authentic vintage furnishings, stove, decor, solid-wood furniture. No plastic hotel feel here!

Child and pet (some restrictions) friendly!
