Pros:The house is right on the beach with truly stunning views. The layout is fantastic for multiple families — very spacious and well-designed. The master suite is upstairs, and there are two bedrooms downstairs, each with their own bathrooms, plus a second kitchen, living area, and double washer/dryer. On the main level, there are two full bathrooms, one bedroom, and a bunk room. The space was a major highlight and made the stay comfortable for a large group.Cons:Check-in was difficult — the door code did not work, and customer service was rude and unhelpful. Unfortunately, the house is in poor condition. The floors are coming up, paint is chipped, furniture is damaged, and everything feels worn and neglected. The kitchen had no basic spices at all, which was surprising for a rental of this size. The pool also needs repairs, and overall, the property was not clean upon arrival.With some updates and better customer service, this could be an incredible rental. The location is unbeatable, but the home needs significant attention.

Location was great and convenient to everything. Pool was dirty after day 1 due to a storm that rolled through but the management company had it cleaned for us earlier than the scheduled cleaning date which was much appreciated. There is a public beach access directly next to the house which caused the beach area to be busier than we would have liked. First impressions house was clean, but after we settled we noticed several areas that need attention. The house is not maintained very well regarding cosmetic repairs that need done. And repairs that have been made are not up to par. Based on the cost to rent the house and the higher end area it is in, we were disappointed in what we got. The location on 30A and the management company, Benchmark, were two positives. We enjoyed our vacation but would have appreciated a better maintained rental.

Check in was very easy. The house was perfect for our family of 8. The kitchen was very well appointed. The bedrooms were all comfortable, and the views from the decks were spectacular. The location was ideal. We were close to great restaurants and the Publix was only a few minutes away. The beach was not crowded and having the chair service was a real bonus. The management company was very responsive when we had an issue with the air conditioner and sent someone right away. The only negative would be the number is stairs to the beach for anyone with mobility issues. The walking/biking path is directly in front of the house. A great place!

Great Location, House Ok

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location was great and is the main reason to pick this property. For the price per week being charged, the house is in need of repairs - there are flooring tiles missing, the trash drawers are falling off, curtains are missing, and the 3rd floor Steam Shower smells like mold covered in bleach. The 2 dryer vents are tied together so if both are running it stops the second one due to air flow fault. The beds were hard and sheets were scratchy. The pool was a dirty mess, though they did come on Wednesday to clean it.Again, the reason to stay here is the convenient access to the beach.

Lovely On-The-Water oceanfront 5 Bedroom 5 Bath with Private Pool

We loved the location. It is really 3 semi-private levels. 2 kitchens and decks off of each level were a bonus.It’s worth the cost of heating the pool for marginal spring days. And, the convenience of our own beach access plus beach chairs and umbrellas included and automatically set up were great.

Not as good of service as in the past

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Benchmark customer service was not a local group but an outsourced overseas contact. We never got calls back in response to our problems. Pool heater was never turned on and no response as to why. AC problems we investigated and fixed on our own when we got no calls back to help. (For whatever reasons breakers were turned off) . Basically not the same customer service we have had in the past. Pool cleaning guy came mid day and then told us we have to stay out for a couple hours, and just threw his hands up when we asked about the heater...as in not my problem.

We have attached several pictures. While the interior was very nice and clean, the outside really needs some work. The paint is very weathered and many rusted areas. Including the outdoor light fixtures. The grill was not clean and we did not feel comfortable using it. Our master bedroom has mold/mildew on the walls by the tv and we experienced difficulty breathing. The toilet paper holder is about to fall off the wall. The shower was also moldy in many grout areas. The ants on the pool deck were everywhere. There is also a large wasp nest under the 2nd floor deck.The house is nice on the inside but the outside was very disappointing. great location - but be prepared to stock an entire house!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We checked out of the Mirage last weekend (name of the property with Benchmark). We have some major complaints that I wanted to bring out relative to a $10,000+ dollar rental for 4 nights that I would have wanted to know and want others to know before they book a stay at this property. We had to go purchase things that have been standard at other rentals of this caliber in the past:Gym access wasn’t accurate and was listed on the property.No hand soap for washing - had to go purchase.Only 1 bath towel per person - hard to take showers after the beach with a wet towel.1 trash bags for the kitchen trash - had to go buy trash bags.No simple cooking items (cooking spray, salt / pepper, etc...) - another purchase.Only 2 dishwasher tablets for 4 nights. The trash in front of the house was never picked up during our time there. just be aware.Etc...I could go on, but staying here required bringing all household goods to a house we paid a lot to stay in. These all are simple items to provide...I hope this feedback is beneficial. if you are Uber bound this all becomes very expensive to go to the store for basics of your stay.

I loved it but if you have a sensitive nose you are not going to be happy

i loved it very much. stocked well. beautiful. functional. close to the beach. pool. but there is a leak somewhere in the upstairs that was fresh and flowing. the smell caused me to feel ill it was so strong. it was constant. it was actually kind of horrible. soooo if you are sensitive in the ENT to mold, mildew or damp smell this is not the place for you. i really wish i didn't have to type this last part.

Nice vacation in Seacrest

I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was a nice house although I felt a little pricey. Overall the house was in good shape but you can tell it's been used quite a bit. Floor in the kitchen needs some upkeep, icemaker in upstairs fridge didn't work (never got anyone to come and fix after a few requests) so we had to trek ice from the downstairs refrigerator. Lots of dishes and appliances in the kitchens. Rooms were nice - linens were in great shape and beds were comfortable. Pool was a nice size and a great place to cool off after a day at the beach. House comes with 8 beach chairs with umbrellas - all set up for you every day, that was really nice. Only negative were all the people alongside you - chair setups were on top of each other. House is next to a public access walkway but it wasn't a problem, attendants keep the public away from the private houses. Short bike ride away from Rosemary and Alys Beach. Overall, a good stay. Tired of the 30A house prices going up and up so this might be my last rental for awhile. Almost $20K for a week on the beach just doesn't seem worth it anymore.

Nice Property

A bit older home but reasonably well kept. Had a couple of issues that were remedied quickly by management. Located on a GREAT place on the beach. Amenities were excellent and the separate living areas were well thought out and fit our family perfectly.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house is in a great location but the owner should really put some basic maintenance into the house during the off season. Simple things like paint, repairable equipment and grounds maintenance and you would have a much better house. The constant issues we had with the pool heater and the entire two day electrical project were a major inconvenience during our Spring Break week. Management was responsive after I got through the answering service but the issues we were having should have been noticed and fixed during the off season.

Thanksgiving in FL

We really enjoyed our stay in The Mirage. Prepping food for our Thanksgiving feast was easy with the 2 kitchens. The view of the Gulf was gorgeous and made food prepping extra enjoyable. There were more supplies in the kitchen than are listed on the website, such as: a small crock pot, toaster, a chopper, full size coffee pots in both kitchens, and other things I cannot recall. It was a dream come true for me to have all my family under one roof. The Mirage accommodated all 4 families nicely!❤️💝

Beautiful house

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great time at The Mirage. The pool was great and beach access was phenomenal. Our only complaints were the balconies were not fully accessible to us due to some structural concerns that we were told would be fixed. However, the lumber wasn't delivered until we were leaving on our last day. Also, the listing said there was a pullout sofa bed on the second floor (which we needed) but it had been removed prior to our stay. Overall we had a great time. Fortunately, we are an easy going group and rolled with the flow. But be sure to ask lots of questions before you get there.

Let's start with the positives. The view of the beach is unbeatable and access is literally steps away from the sand. The deck furniture was ample and comfortable. Lovely decor. The furniture in the living room was exceptional...huge sofa and a good number of comfortable chairs. Huge dining room table. The beds were comfortable. Loved having the chairs/umbrella service provided. The separate kitchen and living space on the lower level was nice especially having younger children in the group...our families were able to spread out (nice for early risers and night owls). The location to Rosemary and Alys Beach was a short bike ride away. This property would have received 5 stars had it not been for a few things... We reached out to Benchmark two times before our arrival and double confirmed that the pool would be heated. We know that the weather is cool in October and no one likes swimming in cold water. We got to the house and the request for the pool heat had slipped through the cracks. Benchmark was never able to come through with sending out anyone to turn on the pool heater because "only one third party company is assigned to this house" and we were not able to get on the third party's schedule during the 6 days we were there. This for us was beyond unacceptable! Certainly with all of hundreds of pools on 30a there should be a company that could be called in as a backup. Contrary to some other reviews, this house IS next to a public beach access. Our stay was over Fall Break so there were a lot of people coming and going on the public access next to the house...but it wasn't really enough to dampen our stay in any way. The overall condition of the house is slowly falling apart and is NOT being maintained. The house was not as clean as it should be (cobwebs, dirty ceiling fans, etc.). When paying top dollar for a property like this, it would have been nice to walk away feeling like EVERY penny spent was worth it.

Made for an amazing wedding getaway

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed at this location for a wedding and the location alone was worth every penny. Amazing backdrop and easy access to the beach made this trip one to remember. It was great having enough rooms and kitchen setups to handle all our family in one home. The few things I would suggest for improvements would be more ceiling fans (especially in the bedrooms) and for the rooms on the lowest level to have some kind of dressers for clothes storage. Other than that there was some wear and tear on the stairs to the beach but I imagine that's hard to upkeep in Florida weather. The house was clean and provided practically everything we needed. We would definitely stay at this property again.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was the worst rental ever. For the price you’d expect the place to at least be cleaned, that was not the case. The pool was never cleaned. The house had no WiFi the entire trip. With no WiFi meant no tv. No WiFi also meant that the alarm didn’t work so the house was violating a crucial florida code for a home with a residential pool. Benchmark was a joke and offered a 500$ credit on a $11,500 stay. the home owner must be oblivious which is hard to believe seeing as how they own the other two homes right next to this one. RUN AWAY from benchmark.

PERFECT

We enjoyed being able to walk out the back door, down to our private beach with our chairs & umbrellas waiting for us. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets! We will definitely be coming back and staying at The Mirage!!

Family Vacation at The Mirage July-August 2023

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our first large family vacation. We had 6 adults and 7 children (2-12 year olds and 9, 7, 6, 3, 1 year olds). The king size bed and queen bedrooms on the main floor were a little tight but the small living area and kitchen was perfect. A plus with 2 washers and dryers. The 1 and 3 year olds stayed in the king bedroom with their parents, they made it work. Each had its own bathroom, small but nice. Easy access to the pool and beach. The second floor bunk beds were perfect for the rest of the kids. Main kitchen and dining/living area nice with a beautiful ocean view. 3rd floor had great large bathroom and beautiful balcony view. The location was perfect, chairs and umbrellas were complimentary and set up each day on the beach front. I never used the backpack chairs I rented. The stairs to the beach could use some repairs. The beach area was beautiful, not packed. We rented 2- 6 seater golf carts, perfect for close restaurants and site-seeing. I would recommend this place, lovely location and access to the beach. It was very clean and the rental personnel very attentive and friendly.
