Wonderful Stay

What a find! There is nothing to fault the property on, outstanding views, wonderfully comfortable and loads of parking. Being able to go into the loch for a paddle was an unexpected delight!

Such a fabulous location with breathtaking views. Great family space to relax and chill with lovely open fire in lounge. Well equipped kitchen for eating in and we had a lovely meal out at Kirk of the Lochs a short walk away.Lovely bedroooms / bathrooms with fantastic views in the morning and it was really important for us to have one on the ground floor for one of our guests with mobility issues. Being all on one level was brilliant.We took advantage of taking a boat trip and enjoyed that too.We had a great time - 4 generations - new born to 96 year old! Would love to return in spring or summer for another stay. Thanks again xx

We were a large family group from Canada and it was amazing. Beautiful view and abundance of space. Heidi was very responsive with any requests. Definitely recommend

Amazing setting, loved the beach and surroundings

This was the perfect place for a get together with family and friends. Bedrooms were far from living area so kids could sleep well. I loved the beach and the access to the loch. We took our paddleboards and it was perfect. Many thanks.

Better than the photos.

Nine adults had a lovely comfortable birthday celebration here. Much bigger and more stylishly decorated and furnished than the photographs show. A very comfortable and spacious property. Check in and correspondence was great.

Fabulous house

Rented the house for a birthday treat with my friends. The house was fabulous, well equipped and beautiful inside. There is nothing I could fault with it. Location was great, beautiful outlook. It was that good that we booked it again before we left it. Totally recommend using this house.

Lovely House with amazing views for our Family Get Together

The House is really lovely and clean with everything we needed to make our stay very enjoyable and comfortable. We were however a bit disappointed with the front bedroom which was quite dark and dull compared to the other 4 which were bright and airy with gorgeous views over Loch Lomond. Views we definitely appreciated and will remember. There were however a few issues: - When we arrived the beds had not been set up as requested but someone arrived within 5 minutes of us phoning the contact number to sort it out. - Unfortunately the floors were still very wet and a bit slippy which was concerning for the elderly ladies in our group with limited mobility. Again this was sorted out promptly but may easily have been avoided by investing in a new mop. - This is the first holiday property where we’ve been asked to strip beds and clean out the fire. Whilst not major tasks we assumed these would have been included in normal cleaning of the house following a stay.

A wonderful place!

This is our second Hogamanay at the Shore House and we were thrilled to bits about the place and the location! It is ideal for walks and hikes in the mountains (even in the snow) and close to shopping and kilt rentals.

Family 90th birthday celebration

Beautiful location and excellent size of house with plenty of space for a family celebration. Lovely bed linen and towels. Comfy beds. Well equipped kitchen with plenty of good quality dishes, glasses, and cutlery. A few pots and cooking trays could do with being renewed or deep cleaned. Would recommend and would visit again.

Amazing

This place is absolutely beautiful the bedrooms and sitting rooms overlooking the lake are beautiful and peaceful, the cottage is well set up with everything that you need it’s like a home from home. I will definitely be back, it’s a nice peaceful break.

Paradise on Loch Lomond

We were recently lucky enough to stay at the Shore House in Tarbet right on the shore of Loch Lomond. It was absolutely perfect and beautiful! We traveled from Canada with our family and inlaws. We were a group of 10 including 4 kids. There was more than enough space for all of us in the house and every bedroom was great...although we especially loved the ones with a view of the lake and mountains! Our favourite room to spend time in was the windowed sitting area in the back. So relaxing after our adventure filled days exploring the area. The house was very clean and we only wish we could have stayed longer. The location is excellent. A short walk to the Tarbet Hotel, Pier, bike rentals and ferry rides. We also did a hike to Arrochar walking from the house and there's a nice little playground across the street for the kids. The owners were also great to deal with. They answered our questions right away and popped over to help fix the internet! We hope we can return one day. Thanks for making our vacation so special.

Perfect for a family get together

We stayed here for a surprise birthday party for my partner. House was perfect size, great to all (pretty much) have enjoyed suite. Loved the loch being just at bottom of the garden. Great wee starter pack left in the kitchen was much appreciated! Communication with Auchenheglish was great too - very friendly. Thankyou

The house had everything we needed, all ten of use could fit around dinner table. We loved the location and skimming stones into the Loch.

Stunning accommodation on Loch Lomond

Wonderful family accommodation for our family gathering to celebrate our daughters wedding. The house was amazing, plenty of rooms with comfortable beds, absolutely stunning views of the loch. Beautiful garden and plenty of parking. Discount offered on the cruise on the loch which all 17 of the immediate family did - choppy day but still worth it. Excellent facilities and perfectly located. Nothing at all to complain about - it was simply perfect.

What a place

The house and location are just perfect for a family trip in Scotland. Considering the size of the house, it was incredibly clean and the facilities were more than enough for the capacity. With all these en suites, the kids felt like Kardashians. The added touch of being left bread, milk butter etc was such a kind yet unexpected gesture and provided the warmest welcome to kick start our week at shore house. I have already recommended to friends to check it out.

Comfy house with an extraordinary view

The house is clean and comfortable with enough beds and rooms. Especially loved the view of the river with cruises. We strongly recommend this house to others.

Lovely stay at the shore house

We spend 5 lovely days at the shore house with our daughter and her family. Everyone had a fantastic few days. We enjoyed the garden and the private pebble beach at the bottom of the garden.

Late September

Shore House is in a beautiful location on the banks of Loch Lomond with a large garden and its own beach. The house Is dated but was very clean with a good supply of logs for the open fire. There was a problem with the heating system which was quickly remedied by the owners however our query about a missing sitting room curtain was unanswered, The master bedroom ensuite smelled slightly damp. Despite these minor irritations, our party which included 2 dogs and a baby had a lovely stay.
