The photos represent the rental very accurately. Check-in went smoothly. The huge kitchen has plenty of room for cooking up a feast. The living room is very cozy for playing games or streaming movies. It is in a great location to explore the Redwood parks north and south of Arcata. We enjoyed birding at the Arcata marsh and hiking the many trails of Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park. There is a bicycling/multiuse trail along the Humboldt wetlands that attracts many migratory birds. We look forward to returning for our next Humboldt vacation.

The house fit all our needs and was adorable. Was clean and spacious for two people. Great location. We enjoyed our stay. Only two suggestions to note: the low doorway between kitchen and dining room. My brother is 6’5” and had to duck through. Also, supplying coffee and a snack basket would be a nice touch for hungry, tired travelers. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Location was really nice- close to downtown and 101 and the college , yet nice to be in a private area to enjoy outside with no one around or walk down the road to a neighborhood park for our 6 year old.

This was the perfect place for our little group of 4 to have as a central point to explore Humboldt County. The space was very comfortable, with a good mix of privacy and social spaces, it was clean and very pleasantly decorated and very quiet. It was an incredible value for the price and the communication with our hosts was fantastic- they were very flexible with some last minute change of plans which I appreciated. Would 100% recommend and we are already starting to plan a trip back.

This cottage was the perfect base for our weekend visit! It is much larger than I anticipated, and was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was huge! The living room was spacious with a nice sectional couch. There is a laundry room next door to the cottage, which was a nice perk (although we didn't need to use it). This is a great place to stay if you want to be close to everything but feel like you are in the country.

It's very clean, quite spacious, and in a convenient location. Beds are a little soft for me, the heater didn't quite warm the back bedroom, and road noise on weekdays can be pretty loud, if you try to sleep in at all. Overall great stay with very minor complaints.

It’s an old farmhouse but cutely decorated. It needs more lights. It’s dark. It needs a curtain over the front door. There is car noise going by in front of house but not dramatically loud. It was super clean. The towels were abundant and fluffy. Good price. Beds very comfy.

Lovely home!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Lovely home and felt there was space for all 4 of us guests. Loved the old windows and the view of the beautiful flowers and sunset skies from the kitchen! Wish there would have been a fourth regular chair at the dining room table, but we were able to substitute a stool from the kitchen table for three.
