Excellent stay in the Loire Valley

We had a great stay at this amazing place. This was exactly what we wanted- very nice accommodations, lots of space for our kids to explore, and a nice pool to cool off. Location was great for exploring the Loire valley, but you could also just spend the day relaxing at the pool! The gite is lovely- very nicely decorated, nice tall ceilings, lots of room, stayed cool in the heat. Every room had its own bathroom which was nice. Lovely deck with great views. Hosts were very friendly and helpful.

Loire Stay

We had a great holiday, the hosts were very helpful, and the gite was all we could ask for. Very clean, well supplied, lots of info about the sites and local area etc. the gardens were lovely and very good pool. The gite itself had a lovely high deck next to the kitchen for meals and a separate bbq area. Great holiday, great hosts, would definitely go again. Thank you Lisa and Mark

Perfect relaxing stay in the Loire Valley

My wife and I stayed at Le Pressoir, the largest of the Gites available although it was just the two of us. We selected it for the deck area that is off the kitchen. The photos and actual deck are perfect to relax after a long day of sight seeing in the Loire Valley. It overlooks the estate and allowed us privacy for dining and relaxing outside with a glass of wine, bread and cheese. The Gite itself is setup very well. The bedrooms and bathrooms are all downstairs, and the temperature stays cool there, perfect for sleeping. The walls are very thick to accommodate this and to block sound. We stayed over two nights that had tremendous thunderstorms, but we barely heard it from the bedroom. A few days we were here were 90 degrees F (32C), but the downstairs remained very cool. The upstairs cooled off when we opened the door leading to the deck. Everything was clean, lots of cooking supplies provided, and Lisa and Mark leave a nice welcome package of Baguette, Wine, and other goodies - very thoughtful. Lisa is very friendly and helpful for anything necessary. We chatted with her a few times throughout our stay and enjoyed our conversations. The location is close to Angers and relatively close to Tours. If you are looking to go to many of the castles on the Eastern side of the Valley, it is a bit of a drive. However, we didn't mind and ended up going to Bourges for a day.

We are delighted that you enjoyed welcome basket and make such great use of the terrace in the evenings, looking out over the grounds and valley beyond. It's a good point to make about the chateaux of the Loire; in case travellers are not aware, the Loire Valley covers a vast area and so the castles are spread far and wide along the Loire river from Nantes, on the Atlantic coast side to central France. We are quite central in the Valley itself, in what is known at the 'golden triangle' and you can still get to the furthest chateaux in just over 2hours (the nearest is 10 mins away!). Location was charming quiet and clean. Our hosts were so plaisant and helping us in every way. The grounds were well groomed with beautiful flowers

Superb all round

We had an extremely enjoyable week with our son and his wife and their two young children. It was ideal for the whole party, perfect for the children with outdoor toys in the beautiful extensive grounds. The pool was wonderful, beautifully maintained and the ideal temperature. Lisa and Mark are extremely helpful and friendly hosts, and we found their gite a most relaxing and comfortable place to stay and very much hope to return.

Great hosts and lovely property

Mark & Lisa are super helpful and even went the extra mile to help one of our party with their covid tests. Le Pressoir is a great property and the bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious and well equipped. We really liked the outdoor seating area which gave a bit of extra living space. The pool is really nice abs very well cleaned and maintained by Mark 😀

Fantastic family holiday

We had a fantastic holiday here, staying in the pressoir with our two and a half year old daughter. The property is really toddler friendly, safe and well equipped with everything you need from stair gates to a potty, high chair and toddler cutlery. Sun deck is safe, and from there you can see the garden. Loads of ride on toys, Wendy house, mini football pitch and of course a gated off heated pool!! You could spend your whole time just hanging out at the property and have a brilliant time. But... of course there is the local area to explore. So many options we hardly scratched the surface. Even with a toddler there was so much to choose from, a brilliant zoo, caves, chateaus, Terra Botanica gardens.... add to this the French food, and daily delivery from the local baker and the warm weather and we had a truly wonderful time! Lisa, Mark and Tom live in the main house and are lovely, friendly and super helpful hosts. Always on hand with suggestions and tips for days out, and nothing is too much trouble. Thank you so much!!! We hope we might return one day x

delightful in early Spring

Le Logis is actually 4 self-catering gites and a chambre d'hôte (B&B), all near the home of hosts Lisa and Mark and strategically situated in the country side in the midst of Loire chateau country. My children and grandchildren stayed in a 2BR unit and I stayed next door in the chambre d'hôte, which has its own bathroom and tres-making facilities.Spotless, spacious, nicely decorated, plenty of room, wi-fi, the gite had complete kitchen and equipment, Lisa and Mark couldn't have been more gracious and friendly. On the spacious and well-planted grounds there is a football pitch, a table tennis table, a swimming pool (not yet uncovered in early April0 and other amenities such as a fully equipped washroom. Nothing so close as to feel crowded or noisy however. An excellent choice especially if you have children.

Lovely place and lovely people

A great place to stay at any time of the year - we were pleasantly surprised when we turned in the drive and discovered the place! We had the chance to be able to stay in the " le Pressoir", a great place, spacious, spotless and very well equiped!! Our teenage daughter was smitten by her bedroom and our son loved the outdoor facilities, despite the rather cold and unfriendly rainy weather! We stayed for only 3 days, therefore we habe to come back again to discover Brion in sunshine and higher temperatures!! Thanks for everthing and " Aurevoir " ! Lovely, relaxing family holiday

We’ve just returned from a wonderful week staying in Le Rosiers at Le Logis du Pressior. The Gite was lovely, with everything you need for a self-catering holiday plus the added bonus of a box full of (age appropriate) toys for our 7 and 3 year old children. The grounds are beautiful with lots of space for children to run around and have fun, together with swings/slide, ride along toys and a large log tree house. Our Gite had a lovely private terrace area that overlooked the grounds so we could relax with a drink while keeping an eye on what our children were doing – perfect:-). We were lucky to have very sunny weather for most of the week so enjoyed using and relaxing by the pool nearly every day. However, if you like to explore there is lots to do and see in the area, we especially recommend the Bioparc Zoo in Doue-la-Fontaine as a great day out. We would highly recommend Le Logis du Pressoir for a lovely relaxing holiday, especially to families with children. In fact we loved it so much we’re planning on booking again for next year:-)?

Many thanks for this thoughtful and appreciative review. We would also highlight the Bioparc Zoo as a great day out for children and adults alike. It's a wonderful zoo, built into old quarries and specialising in conservation and reproduction projects for endangered animals. We would also recommend Terra Botanica, which is a fantastic, multi-sensory eco-park that appeals to all ages, from toddlers to adults. Wonderful place, wonderful people

We stayed two nights in Lisa and Mark's beautiful and relaxing b&b room. Nothing was too much trouble and the welcome from them, Max and Archie was second to none - as far as supplying us with a much needed picnic on arrival and letting us park our motorbike outside the room. The property is absolutely beautiful and a credit to their hard work and dedication! We will definitely stay here again - it was, without doubt, the nicest place we stayed in France this year by a long way! Jan & Rob.

un chaleureux welcome

Un charmant endroit sur la route des chateaux entre Angers et Saumur, à 33 kms le zoo de doue la fontaine à ne pas rater. nous avons été recu très chaleureusement avec le soucis du détail : panier d'accueil, la piscine est bien entretenu avec accessoires tel ballon, frites, lunettes, . idem pour la table de ping pong. les gites sont rénovés avec gout et soins. je recommande le gite en famille ou de passage pour visiter la région.

Traumhaft, perfektes Ambiente & Ausstattung

Wir waren mit 2 Familien in der größten Gite, dem le Pressoir. Die Ausstattung ist super, alles was man braucht, ein toller Pool, große Wiesen, schattige Plätze unter Bäumen, mehrere Terassen, jede Menge Spielmöglichkeiten fur die Kinder. Marc und Lisa haben ein Paradies für Familien aber auch Paare geschaffen. Die Betreiber Marc und Lisa haben ein tolles Gespür für Ambiente, Einrichtung und eine angenehmes und wunschlos glückliches Ferienerlebnis. Unbedingt empfehlenswert!

Perfect!

Wonderful! We stayed in the pressoir gite, it was beautifully renovated with great attention to detail. Clean, comfortable and spacious, we especially loved the private decking under a canopy of trees. The grounds were well kept and suited all ages. Loved the pool. Lisa, Mark and Tom were very warm and welcoming, we really recommend this holiday rental and hope to return to it ourselves!

Le Petit Logis

A lovely well appointed gite in a beautiful setting. The gardens and grounds were beautifully kept and the pool well maintained with comfy loungers. Lots of space and toys/games for children if you had them but enough privacy for us as a couple on our own. The owners were extremely helpful and friendly and made you feel very welcome and settled, nothing was too much for them.A great place to come back to each day and relax and unwind. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Le Petit Logis

We stayed in the smallest gite for two people and were delighted at the attention to detail and the spacious and well kept parkland, with swimming pool and deep shade areas under trees. The only drawback was the low beams in the bedroom up steep stairs, but this is not a problem for reasonably fit 80 year olds. There are other beautifully restored properties at Logis du Pressoir ideal for families with children. Charles Simmonds, May 2011.
