HISTORISK LAKE SIDE HOUSE RENTAL Kom tilbringe din ferie hvor de rige og berømte (alle fra præsidenter til berømtheder!) spillet i højtidene i begyndelsen af det 20. århundrede!
Tidligere sted for den berømte ørred Pavilion Hotel, vores udlejning er et historisk hjem beliggende på en privat familie sammensatte i fredfyldte Kattskill Bay på East Side af Lake George.
Vores ejendom, med sine flere hundrede meter privatdrevne havnefront, er uovertruffen af nogen anden. Det omfatter en privat sandstrand perfekt til svømning, både for unge og gamle, i det rolige og forfriskende farvande i Kattskill Bay.
Unik til vores ejendom er en stor betonpier, der vi kærligt henviser til som "The Big Dock", så navngivet, fordi det var her, at dampbådene ville laste og aflade deres gæster, der bor på hotellet. "The Big Dock" (vent og se, du vil kalde det også!) og dets private tilstødende svømning område omfatter et vandrutschebane, dykkerbræt, mange chaiselonger til solbadning og en sving svævefly. Havnen er også et glimrende sted, hvorfra man kan slippe en fiskelinje ind i ryktet, det er der en god fisk at blive fanget! I en nod til tidligere forbi Lac du Saint Sacrement (en af Lake George Båtselskabets nuværende turbåde) ved vores havn hver nat med sine passagerer ... en sjov begivenhed at vidne så ofte vil kaptajnen give en særlig hilsen til dem af os, der samles til spektakulære på kajen. Havnekomplekset deles med vores familiemedlemmer (fem voksne og tre børn). Men hvis du ønsker mere privatliv i solen, er du velkommen til at bruge det store solterrasse oven på båden.

Very much enjoyed the history of the property. The proximity to the lake and use of the golf cart was big!David was so friendly and accommodating. All the adults and the kids and the vacationing pooch had a great time.

Great time

We very much enjoyed our stay. It was perfect for our family who enjoyed playing games, cooling out, sitting on the docks by the beautiful water visiting, and shopping in Lake George.

Something for everybody

The location could not be better for enjoying the lake. Lake George is indeed is a beautiful lake. The site was ideal for boating, fishing, swimming, hiking, or just enjoying the piece and quiet. We were a group of 11 (my wife, children and grandchildren), and the kitchen was well equipped for adult and children's needs. David was an excellent host and responded quickly to our needs or any issues that arose. We had a very enjoyable week and I would recommend without reservation.

Family vacation

This property itself is magnificent from the sprawling lawn to the incredible sundeck and of course beautiful Lake George. What makes this property extra special is the hosts-they take such pride in this property and the history behind it and they are readily available to help with anything that is needed. Our family had such an amazing experience and we were sad to leave.

Our extended family of 12 thoroughly enjoyed our week on the shore of Lake George! The property was even better than advertised. We spent many hours relaxing on the shore in Adirondack chairs, swimming in the clear water, watching sunsets from the deck over the boat house and roasting marshmallows in the fire pit. The golf cart rides to the lake from the house added to the children's enjoyment. We used the paddle board, rowboat and kayaks. The open plan first floor with large center island and dinning table easily accommodated all of us. The hosts were very welcoming and responsive to any questions we had. We highly recommend this unique property!

Fantastic family vacation

We had a wonderful family vacation at this house on Lake George. The owners recently renovated the house and it is beautifully done. They were very responsive to any questions we had and very welcoming and friendly to us when we saw them on the property. The grounds are beautiful and great for kids. We will definitely be coming back!

Picturesque worthy property

We had a joyful vacation with family. Kids loved the closeness of the water. The slip came in handy for the boat. Gorgeous views. Lawn games available. Picture perfect fire pit setting. Highly recommend.

Amazing in every way ! David ( owner) was fabulous communicator from Day 1. Fun to meet him and Lois and loved the tradition they shared with us of greeting the steamboat/ and the local evening fanfare on the dock which all of us ( ages 2 on up )loved. Beautiful grounds: great swimming area complete with water slide, diving board and swim raft with incredible backdrop views of the mountains and sunsets . The golf cart was a bit hit ! Great fishing without ever leaving the dock! The house was charming, well appointed kitchen for our group of 14 / (3 generations) . Perfect vacation with lifetime memories - we were sorry to leave and would love to come back! !

Grateful to Our Gracious Hosts

What a wonderful week with all the kids and Grandma. Even better than in the pictures. Can easily see and feel how much the hosts love this place. So much history as well. We loved climbing Buck Mt, swimming kayaking paddleboarding and boating and the nightly cannon routine topped off each perfect day!!! Thank You to our hosts and can’t wait to come back…..

Lake Time Fun

Fabulous week at Lake George

Lois and David made us feel welcome. The house was WONDERFUL. We enjoyed eating meals together, all 14 of us, & watching TV on a rainy day together in the living room.. The golf cart was great for those with gait issues. We used the fire pit, the boat slot, and overall had a really wonderful time. It was an extra plus that we could bring our pooch. Leslie and Sam

Trout Pavilion didn’t disappoint!!!

David could not have been nicer! His enthusiasm upon our arrival was a great way to start our trip. Other family members were always around during our stay if we had any questions and were kind enough to even lend us an extra anchor for our boat. Thank you for sharing your beautiful dock and many dock amenities!!! We had another wonderful week in LG and hope to return next year!

What a wonderful house! It lacked nothing. The kitchen was very well stocked. if you can't find it keep looking because it's there. All of the major appliances were premium and worked as they should. I was surprised to find a garbage disposal, but they do make for a neater kitchen. The outside porch was a wonderful place to chill out. We only used the TV in the living room and sparingly. All the major apps were pre-loaded making viewing easy. The Wi-fi was seamless.The dock and boat house areas were super; the water level seemed to be higher, so the beach area was pretty small. We took the kids to the little beach at the end of Pilot Knob and saw the same thing. David and Lois have an evening tradition by greeting the St Sacrament with hearty cheers and setting off a small cannon. We joined in a few nights they have been doing it for 30 years. We had a great time, and I looked into next year, but I'm afraid it's been priced out of our reach, but we'll see

A huge slice a good life pie!

We stayed at this property for 4 weeks and had the best stay of our lives since we started coming to Lake George since 2000. The 14 Trout Pavilion house had been recently renovated, was clean, bright, and well stocked and well equipped. We had 12 people stay for several days comfortably without a problem. The beds were very comfortable, enough bathrooms and living space both inside and outside of the house. This property is one of the few on Lake George that allows pets. The owners love pets! We brought out 60 lb hound/lab mix dog and there was plenty of space to walk her. We had access to a private grassy area, fire pit, and a sandy swimming area. The water is so clean you can drink it. A dock space for our 23 foot pontoon boat was provided to use during our stay, making boating a breeze. We also had use of a large area on top of the boathouse on the property. The mornings on top of the boathouse provided a peaceful place to experience the majestic wonders of Lake George. The sunsets were also magical. The property owners were friendly, responsive, respectful and ensured that we had everything to make our stay a special one. If you are looking for a special place that accommodates lots of company, allows pets, has a swimming area (great for kids) on the “quiet side” of Lake George, the 14 Trout Pavilion property will not disappoint.

Amazing Lake House - Great for families!

This house was amazing! It is completely renovated and had everything we needed and more. The lake and outside space, yard, golf cart, and incredible views made our vacation beyond perfect. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Great Family Vacation House

Perfect lake vacation for adults and small children. The family shares their yard with you—in separate spaces—and are extremely kind and helpful. The view is incredible. All 12 of us would be happy to return someday. Thank you so much David and family.

Phenomenal family vacation

We truly enjoyed our stay. The lakefront property is breathtaking and the time we spent there was magical. Awesome family bonding! We loved being part of the Lake George traditions with the owner and his family, who went above and beyond to make it feel at home. Will definitely be back!

My stay at 14 Trout Pavilion in Lake George

The house and property were just beautiful. The layout of the house was spacious with plenty of seating and room to socialize. The view of the lake was spectacular. It was very convenient being able to dock our boat right outside of the house with easy access to the lake. The hosts and their family were so nice and helpful during our stay. The whole family really enjoyed their vacation and we would definitely rent this property again.

Just Plain Great

Yes, it's plain. Just like the pictures. Nothing fancy, but everything you need. Newly re-done, fully equipped kitchen (brand new appliances, including beautiful, big fridge, new stove & oven, dishwasher, and new Weber grill). Bedrooms are small (except for the master BR), but clean as a whistle. New mattresses, sheets, towels, etc. Huge living room. Outside has a huge sun deck (fully equipped with chairs, chaises, and umbrellas) with an amazing view of the Adirondacks. And the best part of all -- the most gracious hosts that you will ever meet (who live right next door and are anxious to get you whatever you might need).

Mixed feelings

Our family enjoyed our stay at Lake George, but this rental had some issues that would prevent us from renting it again. The pros: Fantastic location on a beautiful lake. Large house with plenty of bedrooms. Large yard that was great for whiffle ball and other games. Dedicated fire pit that we used for a campfire and cookout. Most appliances, at least one AC window unit and about half of the mattresses were relatively new. The owners seemed pleasant and friendly. The cons: The sinks and toilets seemed clean and the bedding seemed fresh, but the rest of the house needed a deep cleaning. The kitchen utensils and cookware were sorely lacking (for example, of the two manual can openers, one was completely non-functional and the other barely worked). The biggest issue was maintenance of the house, from basic (missing and mismatched lightbulbs, flaking exterior paint) to more serious (numerous ceiling stains indicating past or current leaks, non-functioning sinks in two bedrooms, an unusable shower stall in one bathroom and a broken window in the kitchen door). The owners do ask that issues be reported to them within 12 hours and that they will correct them. However, we didn’t see the point in reporting most of them, as they appeared to be ongoing issues that the owners most likely were aware of (the plumbing issues were mentioned in a review from earlier this summer and in one from 2019). We did report the broken window when we discovered it (it was covered by a interior window shade, and we only noticed it when we used the door to access the outdoor fire pit). The owner said it had happened at the beginning of the summer and was going to be fixed at the end of the season, and that he would send someone over the next day to make a temporary fix. As far as we could tell, no one ever came to look at it while we were there. All in all, while we made the best of the negatives and had a good family vacation, this rental was not fully as advertised and priced on the high side for its condition. It’s a shame, because we would happily return to this property next year if it were in better shape.
